Food is awful &that is the main reason restaurants are frequented . Plus windows inside are disgustingly dirty - makes one loose their appetite . From the start this new management / owner now in place, is to blame . Long after Covid food , including fried items which were limp & soggy continued because they continued to be served in lidded Styrofoam containers . Reason : they were too cheap to hire a dishwasher . Do not understand why SUNSET GRILLE a PROVEN HIGHLY SUCCESSFUL RESTAURANT in West Ocean City was not given the opportunity to take over this restaurant vs the present management . Great location right in the water with an amazing sunset. The inside is small but definitely adequate with a small bar area and plenty of seating. The food we had, Tex Mex Bowl and BLT Chicken sandwich were both very good. The prices were very reasonable for the portion sizes. The server/bartender was not willing to engage in conversation and had very short responses when asked questions but that may have been because we arrived at 6:50 pm on a Sunday and they close at 8 pm. This was a stop recommended by a friend! And he was right on! It was an early dinner so it was not very busy. I started with an orange crush, and what the heck, this was the first stop on our vacation. Hubby decided to match my 32 ounce with a local draft of the same size. This is hands down the best orange crush I have ever had! You did not taste the alcohol at all! I had a bowl of the cream of crab soup. Is was topped with additional lump crab meat. There was only one piece of shell in the entire bowl. Amazing flavor! Hubby had the Land and Sea! Highly recommend! It is a chicken cheesesteak topped with cream of crab soup then lump crab meat! Stopped here on the way to OBX. Looking for crab, and found it! Had a fantastical soft pretzel with crab dip (lots of crab). Followed with half and half Maryland crab/crab corn chowder. Lots of crab there as well. Finished with a naked crab cake that had the bare minimum filling and amazing lump crab. Yes. Loved the crab. Working in Pocomoke and limited lunch options . We ate at Dockside and food was impressive , right on the Pocomoke River , in the friendliest town on Eastern shore. I got the American cheeseburger and upgraded to boardwalk fries for $2.00 Super juicy cheeseburger that had that smoky BBQ-ish flavor. My colleagues got the "hooked " XL pretzel with crab dip and Carolina pulled pork sandwiches and all agreed food was worthy of a good review. Humongous portions. So if your headed to Wallops Island flight facility , sailing the Pocomoke or visiting Chincoteague Island, I would highly recommend Dockside Pocomoke. They have a "scrapple cheesesteak", if that's your thing , and usually do Friday "Cheesesteak specials". Always trust the locals to know where to eat . read more

I came back here to give it at least a second chance, it's a nice spot in our town and it should've tighten itself up now with what few local spots we have here. The head honcho, or from what I assumed to believe was running the place, took my order straight off the bat which was a plus. I wanted to order a grilled cheese to satiate my taste for one and to see if they could potentially not mess up with a simple sandwich. The first thing I felt disdain for was the face the Bossman looks at me and says, "It's on the kids menu." Which did not spark any enthusiasm from me since I figured they were trying to get me to at least get an entree where they could charge me more just for ordering a side of fries. That was an issue for me was paying extra for lackluster air-fried fries. I waited for a decently fair time until it came to my table looking visually appealing at first but when I took the first bite of the sandwich I could tell they have NOT cleaned the grill since the last time I've been there, and the fries go figure. It was a combination of me thinking, "How can you char a grilled cheese without it looking charred but taste like it was charred on a grill?" and most importantly, "How can you mess up a grilled cheese?" If you wanted a bar that's in town you'd assume you'd go to Dockside but I wouldn't even bother, hell I'd take up going to Cypress or whatever it's called because maybe they also have better food if they do end up serving. It's days like this why haven't they packed up already with this facade of a restaurant and sold it to somebody who could run a bar while having great food, I mean it would be a sight to see if we had something different here instead of a pass by tourist trap. Great place on a river with lots of outdoor seating! When you pull up, it doesn't look that great & parking is on the street. Upon entering, it's larger & nicer than expected. Steamed shrimp app was real good - nice plump sweet shrimp. Wings were done nicely - I really liked them & my husband really enjoyed his burger. Drinks were made nice & strong & we had an enjoyable time sitting outside. Would definitely come back again when in the area! read more

Wow! My seafood pasta was out of this world rich, creamy and delicious. Plenty of shrimp and crab, cheese, butter, noodles and flavor. We also got the giant pretzel and crab dip. It was a little underwhelming. However, will return again. read more

We had a nice lunch after docking the boat, it is a nice noat ride from Snow Hill. The food was good and reasonably priced. The staff was short handed, one person apparently, and we had to wait for things, even though there were only 2 other customers in the place. read more

My daughter and her friend got severe food poisoning from this place do not here I'm telling you

Worst meal I have ever ordered. Greek salad was served with underripe avocados, past ripe cucumbers that had not been peeled, rice that was hard, undercooked, and tasted old, and salmon that was way overcooked. I found it inedible. My husband had their fish tacos and said they were bland. The meal took forever to come and the waitress was MIA throughout the meal. Aesthetics are fine but don't go there for the service or the food. read more

Very disappointed in the food and service! Crabcake was burned on the bottom. Waitress failed to tell us that the mahi bites on the seafood platter were not available until we asked about it. Lots of mistakes in the orders and I got food poisoning. We had a large party and were put in the party room but half of it was filled with junk so it felt like we were an afterthought. The view was nice but the sun streaming in was too bright and their blinds didn't help much. I suspect the crab dip from the Hooked pretzel made me sick. It did not taste fresh (but had potential to be delicious otherwise) I also liked the pretzel presentation. I got the chix n rice which was okay. The rice didn't taste fresh or like coconut. It came with a side salad and fries but I didn't get the fries. the hard boiled egg in my salad also didn't taste fresh, and I didn't get a choice of salad dressing. Others at our table also complained about missing fries, wrong sized soups, getting lettuce and tomato after saying no, or not getting other toppings on their items after requesting them. They did a good job with the drinks. and my companions said the tuna appetizer was great value and very tasty. It came with avocado and the tuna slices were nice and thick. Most people with us got the crab cake (called the Eastern Shore) and enjoyed that. It did have peppers in it. The main part of the restaurant had a nice vibe but was very loud with conversation. It was also a bit odd having the rest rooms immediately by the front door. I think this place just opened this spring, so hopefully they manage to work out their kinks and maybe add a few more things to their menu. read more

Beautiful view but that's it. Took over 2 hours to get served and when it came it wasn't hot. Crab soup was Luke warm and very salty, coconut shrimp, poor at best, dryer out and tasteless. The 1 pound clams were tasty but really didn't know what I was eating. Service was poor. read more

The restaurant was clean and nice, great location. The food was very disappointing. I had the Ceasar salad with "blackened chicken". The salad was nothing more than a side salad with a few chunks of cold chicken that was probably cooked a day or so before and was not blackened. Bloody Mary was good and Brussels sprouts were great but that is all Crab cake had no flavor don't know how you do that as it was all meat. House made chips were from a bag. Some like eating out of a box with plastic I found it difficult. Hire a dishwasher man. Steak salad was lots of limp lettuce. I wish there was a zero star option...Absolutely horrific experience with the food and the owner. We started off with an extremely small serving of brussel sprouts that was burnt leaves and soaked in sauce...sent them back half eaten. I ordered a Tex-mex bowl with no chicken. It came with chicken. The bowls we ordered were not prepared according to the menu and were tasteless. Succotash was substituted for edamame in one bowl. We commented to the waitress about the succotash in the bowl. Ten minutes later, the owner came out with three beans in his hand shoving them at us and pointing out what he said was edamame and what was a lima bean. As a long time vegetarian, I know the difference between lima beans and edamame. He then proceeded to loudly tell us the food was the same as it had always been. I have been a long time customer there and promise you the food is not what it used to be. He had no interest in honest feedback on the food, something he might have used to make improvements; only telling us we were lying and that he knew we were trouble after I sent the chicken bowl back. He said all of his reviews were good so he apparently has not read them. Everyone in the restaurant stopped eating and stared at the scene he created. I am still in shock as to all that transpired. It was as if he was in a psychotic state and there was no talking to him. I have since learned it is not unusual for him to do this to customers. There is something seriously wrong with him. I will NEVER go back there and suggest you don't either. read more

Had a really nice lunch here last weekend. Service was quick and friendly. They have everything served in takeout containers which makes it convenient if you over-ordered like we always do. It beats a stress relief pill. The owner, the staff, the food, and the river., they all work to pick me up. My wife had chemo for bone cancer for 3 years, it picked us both up. As she gets stronger the more we will be going. The food is great. The staff is very helpful, the owner is on top of everything. As us old folks say, you can't beat it with a stick. Happy relaxing and good eating. Been there, enjoyed it and didn't get a tee shirt. read more

First, love this location. I was glad to see another restaurant open here. It has lots of potential However, right now the food is just not worth the trip. The "Dockside", which is a lobster roll was thick with mayonnaise and paprika. It was room temperature and not good, to the point of being fishy tasting. The burgers ( All American) were good and grilled to specification. The pulled pork was also pretty good. When we got to the restaurant no one was around for several minutes. You The servers seem fairly uninterested in customers, but with time I hope to see this changen read more

Desperately mediocre. The restaurant itself is very cute. You will enjoy the beautiful setting and all the windows. The staff and service was ok. All staff was very young and inexperienced. Some friendly, some not. Food was served more quickly than others reported in reviews. The giant pretzel was pretty good (minus the crab dip, which was fishy tasting) and was served nicely. The cheeseburger was dry and tough. I ate about 1/4 of it. The flavor was good...smoky charbroiled taste and a sweet bbq sauce. So, there is hope here if they can get their beef right. It was so tough it tasted like it had been frozen. Fish and chips were greasy greasy greasy and totally ho hum. The fries were tired, tough and cold. The chicken sandwich was tasty....but had to be a frozen patty. The potato salad was not edible...gloppy and WAY overdressed. Overall, it was not good and we will not return. It will be interesting to see what moves in to the cute location once this concept closes up. read more

The appearance is very nice. The size is very small. Our waitress was very nice. The drinks came in small plastic cups. (not glass) Soup came in a very small clear plastic deli cup. Dinner was served in a small brown cardboard box with the lid closed. (no dishes) We laughed in disappointment each time something came to the table. The quality of the food was just okay. Crab soup has lots of crab meat but also lots of onion. French fries were a little under cooked. Crab cake sandwich was okay. Coffee was very good. Overall we would not seek this location again.
