Food was ok nothing to jump up and down about, the app came out at first but was resolved and the flavor was good though my wife got the dirty crab boil and was very pleased with it the cocktail sauce was made in house.

My husband and I stopped here for lunch on a Saturday in November. Since it was the off season, it was easy to get a table. I was really excited when the bartender was able to make me a mocktail since I'm pregnant and they didn't have any mocktails listed on their drink menu. The bartender was very attentive and friendly the whole duration of our luncheon. My husband got a crab cake sandwich ($26) and I got a grilled chicken sandwich ($16). Both were delicious and flavorful. The restaurant was clean and had ample parking out front. They have a really nice pirate-themed playground for kids that is fenced in. Kids were playing on it when we arrived and looked like they were having a blast! We would eat here again.

LIVELY ATMOSPHERE AND LIVE MUSIC: Fun, upbeat vibe. The place was busy. Live music from local musician on Andrew Ward on the back porch really added to the night. Tried the Flounder Roulade. It looked good and was slightly over-cooked and lacking a little flavor. The clam chowder with crab claw meat was a lot better... creamy and satisfying. Seafood lovers should opt for Steamers but Ropewalk wins when it comes to atmosphere. Great spot to hang out, listen to music, and enjoy the company of friends.

I came here off-season: just prior to Thanksgiving so that might inform my experience. I liked this place a lot. I had a burger as it was half price Tuesdays along with seasoned waffle fries. I came hungry and it was delicious. The server was attentive and nice. My soda came in a literal pitcher (then you don't need to ask for a refill!) I can see how others would say the indoors could be loud if i was full. It was pretty noisy at only about 25% full when I was there. Ropewalk was close to where I was staying so all-in-all a good choice.

Staff super friendly and attentive. Space had a nice vibe and location is great. Food was decent. My husband loved the clam chowder. The scallops were cooked well but maybe a little heavy on the salt and my husband enjoyed his stuffed flounder. Dessert was rich and delicious.

This place gets some bad reviews. Not sure if it is over-crowded in season. Or whether folks just made poor food choices. But we were very happy here. Beautiful spot right on the water. And conveniently located next to our hotel. Service was good. Wings were good. Rare tuna salad was amazing. Steak and mashed potatoes was good. Kids cheese burger meal totally acceptable. Playground is conveniently located! We were here off-season in mid/late October. Chincoteague was great this time of year! Very enjoyable.

We happened to be in town for Valentine's Day, and decided to check out the place as it was next door to our hotel. We were greeted by very friendly service at the hostess station and lead to our table by the windows. Restaurant had a very bustling atmosphere, very good vibe. Excellent decor, with art / decor reflecting on the seafood, area, etc. Spotless. Appetizer - smoked (then fried) chicken wings with old bay seasoning - these were amazing, well seasoned, good flavor, tender / fall apart. Dinner - My wife had the jerk chicken (well seasoned, juicy), I had the crab cake (delicious, well seasoned). Both dishes were accompanied by fresh green beans (excellent sautéed) and island rice (pretty good). Dessert was lava cake, which was just ok. Cocktails - excellent. Will try a slush next time. Water served in mini beer pitchers was pretty fun. Our waitress - excellent. Attentive, efficient and friendly. All in all - we enjoyed our experience. if you're looking for a bar grill type place with a variety of things (including non-seafood items) and great cocktails, this is a place to try. If you've looking for a more traditional seafood place, there are other choices in town.

NOISY atmosphere! Like can't hear yourself talk noisy. The outside seating area is nice, especially with the gated playground for kids and the waterfront view. The food is okay, I've definitely had better on the island. Service was good. We might visit for a bar drink and scenery at some point, but not to have a meal. It's just too over stimulating

Tried this place again on this trip with a group. The drinks were amazing but our food was not. Loved the kids menu and the kids were happy. I had the stuffed flounder and it was over cooked and super salty. Will be back for drinks and maybe fries.

Our party of two came here on a Saturday evening just before 8 PM without a reservation. We were able to be seated immediately at a high top and our drink orders were taken immediately. The key lime crush was a huge hit and the fact that the fountain soda/waters came in a personal pitcher was fantastic especially on a hot day. It was a little uncomfortably warm inside since the doors to the outdoor area were open, but we survived. The crab cake eggrolls were incredibly flavorful, the bada bing shrimp was a crowd pleaser (but nothing to write home about), the jerk spice seasoned wings were nice and crispy, the chicken tenders also scratched that itch for my kid's menu hankering, and the crab cake sandwich was delicious and the crispy waffle fries it came with were amazing. Definitely worth trying this place out if you're in the area!

Went here for my birthday. It was super busy (Friday night). I had two kids with me (5 and 1), along with a stroller and they thought the best table to give me was one smack dab in the middle near the bar. So that wasn't super comfortable. They have indoor and outdoor seating. The views are amazing. Service was ok, our server was MIA a lot of times. They have a cute playground right outside as well.

Came here for the happy hour deals - $1 oysters and 1/2 priced wings. Our server was nice and attentive and the atmosphere is great here. A ton of seating inside & out. The wings were great! My husband said they were some of the best he has ever had. The oysters tasted good but were so dirty that we had to pick shells and sand out of most of them. A quick scrub of the oysters would have landed this place another star. Overall we had a nice & affordable experience!

    What are the menu prices?

Sorry! That was the first time I had been to the restaurant and it was a good while ago so I actually do not remember the prices. I do remember thinking they were reasonable and I love sitting out in the sandy area.

There is a small lot behind the restaurant. It was easy and there was plenty of parking since it was the off season. I did not have a reservation but, I was seated as a party of one pretty quick. The tables were draped with white table cloths, a nice table side light, sweeteners, tall clear glasses with a black napkin and tall salt and pepper shakers. The walls were a darker and lighter gray, hues of black and whites scattered throughout. I was in love with the old photos and the black and white prints throughout. There was a stunning glass sculpture hanging from the center of the dining room. It maybe a Chihuly glass chandelier. If it is not it resembles it. Hues of amber, orange and whites. My waitress came over within a few minutes and took my drink order. She informed me of the specials and brought over some bread, butter and herbed oil. I just had to try the cream of crab. On the menu it states it's a tight lipped recipe. The cream of crab was delicious. They have done their own spin on it. It came out piping hot. It had a slight kick to it, as if there was some sort of pepper in it... jalapeño? Could just be regular ground pepper. Overall, it was pretty good. My meal came with a choice of salad. It was either a garden salad, Caesar salad or tropical salad. I ordered the garden salad with ranch dressing. The salad was ok. Nothing to rave about. It had shoestring carrots, two cherry tomatoes and 2-3 types of lettuce. It did the job. I had the waitress choose my main dish for me. I could not decide. It was between the stuffed shrimp (stuffed with crab imperial), or the crab cakes. I opted for the vegetable of the day which was green beans. My waitress surprised me with stuffed shrimp, broiled. I'm so glad she went with the broiled vs fried option. She said it was the best way to go. The crab imperial was creamy and flavorful. The shrimp were a little on the smaller side. I personally did noThe green beans were nicely seasoned. For dessert I had the waitress choose agin. A choice between their strawberry shortcake which was a special, white chocolate coconut cream pie, or the vanilla crème brûlée. She chose well, the coconut cream pie. It was so good! I saw other tables around me being delivered their food and everything looked really good. This place is definitely a popular eatery. They will remain on the list to come back.
