Cod filets and fries dried out and must have been reheated a half dozen time. Tossed most of it in the trash. Will never visit again.

Only reason I didn't give it 5 stars was because I paid $100 for 3 meals served in plastic baskets that I ordered from a window.

The breakfast tacos with "chipotle potatoes" have french fries on them. No chipotle is sight.

The gentleman behind the breakfast bar was very nice and ensured the coffee was full at all times! The breakfast nachos were filling and the fresh fruit was delicious! I chose a 'Build Your Own Three Egg Omelette', with grated Cheddar, broccoli & sauteed onions, one piece each of Cinnamon Raisin & Light Rye toast. The egg mixture was a bit thin; more milk than egg ratio, but the omelette ingredients, fresh! Ask for dry toast, if you don't want/like margarine, & ask Tiffany to fetch real butter, instead. I asked for a bit of the 'not-so-secret' spice blend used for other dishes, & was pleasantly surprised... not too spicy, just right, even w/tumeric ! Only a few people seated when I walked in, but within 10 minutes of sitting, all the tables were filled with locals... only a few bar stools remained open. Casual, homey, non-invasive interior, decorated in red tones... Burnt Sienna mixed with Red, Cran-Red curtains, fits well in w/the land of Cranberry bogs. Chris, "today's chef", manned the grill. Tiffany, front house mgr/server, gave me time to decide what piqued my taste buds, and then was prompt with coffee, honey, & breakfast! Sweet gal. Currently owned solely by Patrick 'Nick' Morey, Ruggies was created by Matt Rocco & himself, named after Matt's "grandfather, who played semi-pro football, back in the day". The homemade dressing is on point. If you are in the mood for a Caesar, this is a great place to get it Meal Side Scallops & Gnocchi. Wow this dish was sooo good. The Truffle Parm Cream sauce and Gnocchi were special. Delicious Balsamic Glaze on the sides as well The Mad Tuna - Tuna dish was out of this world. So fresh!! Tuna was the star and they seared it perfectly. This was a great cut and fresh piece of Tuna. The sauces around the plate accompanied everything well too. I liked the Wasabi, Sweet Soy & Yuzu for the Tuna. I enjoyed the Spicy Mayo & Avocado smash for the Rice Balls. My only complaint was that it could have used a little more Tuna and one extra rice ball. The rest of my party seemed full from their meals while I found myself searching for more Crab Cake Sando - Delicious but the Crab Cake Tater Tots felt like enough Crab for the cape. My advice would be to either get 1 or the other Love how many chicken strips 5 came with the kids meal French fry's were tasty. This was a great kids dish Final Bill There was a 3.75% charge for using a credit card, 2% added tip for the cooking team and then line for tip. It just all gets out of hand quickly. In my opinion, these aren't cheap meals and too many restaurants now adays are pushing extra operational costs onto the customer when the meal prices seem high enough. What happens if we got drinks too?

The scallops and gnocchi were divine though, with the garlicky mushroom sauce and green peas. At some point the bartender was chatting with a customer/friend next to us and showed her a new bottle they had stocked. I recognized the name from a recent trip to France, Chartreuse, googled it and decided I needed to try it since I didn't before. I found a cocktail that sounded just up my alley. I shared it with the bartender and POOF The Greenpoint appeared. Love that she was open to mixing something new up for us! Great, relaxed vibe with both indoor and outdoor seating. Terrific service including having the door opened for us on our way out. The little touches matter, so thank you guys! What a great evening. This spot was new for us this trip but it will definitely be added to our rotation.

"An ounce of pretension is worth a pound of manure."…read more The bizarre attitude I just experienced while trying to make a reservation for a nearly $3000.00 stay for 3 days at this property in the off season exemplifies this statement. We will be at The Cape for a milestone anniversary in May from the 7th thru the 10th and thought that the importance of the celebration warranted a little luxury. I am 5 years cancer free. The woman who I just spoke with on the phone after perusing their website was vapid - and that's being polite. I explained that this was an important anniversary and that I saw exactly the room that I wanted to stay in - and went on to describe a beige room with a fireplace, king bed and ceiling fan. This is not cheap mind you; it's nearly $1000 a night, in the off-season. Can't stress that enough. She said that she would be happy to take the reservation but couldn't guarantee the room. Not understanding I asked her if she could check and see if that room was already booked. She explained that it's first come, first served and room assignments are random. If that's the case why on earth post pictures of the rooms at all. That seems a little bait-and-switch to me. Still thinking that I wasn't quite understanding I said " I don't think I'm being clear. I would really like to stay in that room so if I'm calling today and paying for it in full, why can't I choose the room that I would like to stay in? This makes no sense to me." She went on to sweetly explain to me - in order to keep it "fair" for everyone, rooms are to be assigned at the time of check-in. I would love for somebody from this property to explain this to me in terms a five-year-old might understand because at nearly $3000 for three days in the off season 6 WEEKS IN ADVANCE I should be able to book whatever room is available. Unreal.

It's very cutesy inside and the bathrooms were clean. I got the Julian - it was scrambled eggs, bacon, white toast, and home fries. I also ordered a single pancake. I also had Diet Coke and a glass of milk. All of this came to about $30. The eggs were good and the toast was really nice. The bacon was a bit more fatty than I'm used to so it was a eh for me, but the home fries were delicious. They had such a good seasoning and spice to them that I was in heaven. The pancake was also solid. Not amazing, but good. The service was good. I do think it's weird that they just drop checks without asking if you want anything else or asking if you want the check. I would come back and give this place another try. I think you can rely on it being a good breakfast, but I might not wait more than 20 minutes if there was a wait.
