I had never been to doc motor works, I had a noise coming from my jeep renegade, the young lady behind the desk told me I should hear about what they found during their inspection by noon, I got there about 8:15am. Noon came and went an I still had not heard anything so I called, the gentleman I spoke too apologized but said they would call me back within the hour, which they did. I indicated I needed the car back that day and was told they would do everything they could to make that happen. To make a long story short, they had my jeep repaired with a new sway bar and back on the road mid afternoon and at a great price. My story has a second part, I scheduled an oil change with them for a couple of days later, the morning of the oil change we had a "pet emergency", the vet could see our dog at the same time my oil change was scheduled. I called doc motor works and explained my situation and said I could take another time or a different day. The gentleman told me if I could to "come on in", we will get you taken care of, which they did, and at a great price. Still in shock over all the positives from an automotive repair shop. This is usually a dreaded mess for me. Long story shortened. Took my FJ to Toyota for a repair. They charged me $700 to make the problem much worse. Additionally it would be another $4000 (yes - $4000.00) to fix this. Took the car to Doc's the next morning. Met with Scott who patiently listened to my explanation / complaints about this nightmare. They got the problems all straightened out the same day for $400. All is right with the world. Nice and clean facility. They sent me pictures of everything that needed attention (along with itemized cost) and recommendations of what is necessary sooner and what can wait. WHEN DO YOU EVER GET THIS from a repair shop. EVERYTHING needs replacement right away (FOR $1000 AND UP) when you take it to "the other guys". Take it from me. I went to Doc's yesterday by recommendation from a co-worker. From the time I walked in until the time I left I was impressed!!!. Everyone at this facility was friendly and courteous, they made me feel like family. I had a wheel alignment done and it was done perfectly, my steering wheel now is perfectly centered. The price was $20 cheaper then the Goodyear shop I used to go to. I say "used to go" because I will never take any of my vehicles anywhere else but here. I failed the emissions test so brought my minivan to them to diagnose. They provided a through and competitive estimate but more importantly, recommended I consider buying another vehicle before putting more into mine which already had almost 300 miles. I took their advice, sold mine on cars.com and bought a used car with low mileage. I really appreciated their honesty as they could have recommended replacing the catalytic converter and made a profit but instead treated me like family. I will not hesitate to go back or recommend them to anyone looking for good, honest, mechanics. read more

My wife's car would not start. We brought it in and they took us in within a moments notice. It took me most of the afternoon to get the alternator replaced but hey I chose to wait. I took a chance after seeing a few Google reviews but I could have not asked for a better experience. Unfortunately my other car just stopped running at the light so I am here again. They did a quick report and quote on my check engine light. I brought my pick up in the following week for a full diagnosis. The text review and quote function worked nicely, and was followed up by the Service Manager. I had plans to go out of town the next day and was hopeful that they would be able to complete the work in time. We took my car to Mavis Tires & Brakes in shorewood because I had a nail in my tire, they said I needed a whole new tire and it couldn't be replaced. Then I found this place on google and glad we came. Got my tire patched within an hour for a very good price. They wear masks and sanitized my key fob before returning it. Their waiting room was extremely kid friendly. Which is hard to come by at most places. My four year old was kept busy the entire time. They helped me get a tire last minute with an unexpected flat that couldn't be repaired. I had a chaotic weekend coming up and they took care of it on a Friday night.
