Went to get tire dismounted from cracked rim and remounted to new rim After road trip. After waiting for 20 minutes and the phone ringing back to back while I was waiting got told they couldn't mount my rim just by looking at tire didn't even bring it in the shop. Discount tire in Texas has done this exact service multiple times But my friend here in Arnold recommended them. The Other customers behind me were notably annoyed with the wait. They definitely need to add more employees to the front desk. The last sentence spoken to me was "sorry buddy we can't mount your tire to the rim" Haven't been called "buddy" in years. In my opinion there's better options like sir or mam. read more

I just called to get an emissions test done on my car. The man said I could drop it off. I asked if he had an estimate on how long they would have the car and he laughed at me and then proceeded to talk down to me. This is why women do not like to go to car places. Men treat them like they are dumb. I will NEVER go to this location and I will tell everyone I know about how this man treated me on the phone. had a tire loosing air and went to Dobbs in Arnold. I purchased my tires at their Oakville location. from the time I walked in I was treated with concern over the fact I had a problem with their installation. It was determined that a belt broke in the tire was under warranty. After prorating the tire I paid a fair price on a new tire! The service and people were top notch! read more

Called around and settled on dobbs for tires. Mike on location helped me decide make size etc. great knowledgeable guy. I actually found cheaper prices but I was won over by him explaining stuff. Called in, drove up, made a selection, mounted and out the door in under 90 minutes. And it wasn't a slow time. Explained another issues they noticed needed attention but no high pressure sake to get it done. On the first leg of our road trip, the brakes on my car started grinding. I could tell that it was more than your typical pads and rotor issue. We were due to leave the St Louis area the next day. Jon at Dobb's was super helpful. He got me in first thing that morning and was able to diagnose an issue with leaking fluid and corroded calipers. He was able to do a full overhaul of my rear brakes. I just want to rave about how amazing their service was! We have a 2002 Honda Civic LX Coupe, and my husband drives that to work bc his commute is really long. On his way yesterday to work he had a tire blow out on 270 and the flap of the tire did a lottt of damage to our car. It even opened up the seat airbag! We took it to Dobbs in Arnold where I always get the tires done, we asked them if they could take the Fender off bc well we aren't car people so we'd have no clue how to take it off and it looked awful. So we left the car and went home for dinner and just picked it up the next day. They not only took the fender off for us, but they also zip tied our light cords that got all mangled up in the tire mess! They don't normally do body work so I felt like I was asking a lot. So in a freak accident like this with a tire blow out, it made it a little easier to look on the bright side! So I just want to say thank you soo much for taking care of your customers! Brought my car to get the passenger side front tire patched. The very next day it was flat and leaking worse than it was before they touched it. Went back up to ask for my money back because it's clearly their fault, just for them to mock me and tell me to take it somewhere else and they aren't reimbursing me. This is absolutely unacceptable and ridiculous. Go to Walmart instead, they'll patch it for $10 and actually patch it instead of making it worse. read more

Failed to fix my alignment, overcharged for services that didn't fix my car at all. Bad customer service. Rude techs and staff in general. I came to get an oil change and alignment because my car has been pulling to the left, asked them to look over the car to make sure everything was in working order. They say they fixed the alignment but recommend I replace my sway bar for about $800 more. I refused and drove my car off the lot. The car is still pulling to the left. No change at all in the way it drives after they "serviced" it. So I think maybe they were right and it's the sway bar/suspension causing the car to pull. I come back asking them to do this and check out my brakes. They say the rear brakes need to be changed out, with the sway bar it will all be $1500. I ask them to just replace all the brakes for the sake of longevity and they tell me now it's going to be $2800. That is $1300 more, almost double what the sway bar and rear brakes would have been. The tech refuses to explain what they're doing and rattles off prices for parts and labor. I ask him to slow down so I can calculate the cost of everything as he says it and he refuses to slow down or explain. I eventually just give in and have them do the repairs because my car needs brakes and I need to drive home. They put in the sway bar and the brakes, and my car is still driving exactly the same. Still pulling to the left, sway bar did nothing. I call as soon as I pull out of the lot and they tell me to bring it back. So I bring it back and they tell me their alignment machine is broken, then try to get me to pay for an alignment again. Why would I pay for a service that didn't work the first time, especially after they scammed me on a sway bar that was supposed to fix the problem but did nothing. Do not trust these people with your car. read more

They replaced 2 upper control arms, camber kit, and my front rotors as well as doing an alignment. Once I got my car back the steering wheel was offset to the right, the skid plate was nearly ripped off from underneath the car, and there was horrible vibration while driving and coming to a stop. Less than 24 hours later, my caliper seized/busted and brake fluid ate away at the clear coat on one of my wheels. Dobbs offered to eat the cost in labor if I bought a new Brembo caliper for $800... I respectfully declined such a great deal.... Dobbs replaced the caliper, not with a new one, but rather a refurbished/remanufactured caliper and refused to provide the part #, as that's something they've never done on any of their invoices. My mileage was incorrect the second time bringing it back so they could fix their issues, which conveniently would've expedited their warranty. 0/10 would not recommend read more

Consistently one of the worst tire/ auto experiences I've had in my life. Come here if you want to wait 3 hours only to find out all 4 of your tires are now magically beyond repair. I know for a fact man-made damage was done to one of my tires at this location as I took the tire off myself before going in and have pictures to prove it. In addition, I had all of my bolts COMPLETELY stripped TWICE! I had to take my car into a trucker repair stop and have the bolts cut off! Then Dobbs claimed they were not responsible and has not paid for this. I am beyond belief at how taken advantage of and disappointed I feel after trusting these guys with my service 3 times simply due to location. I took my daughters 2013 Elantra car into Dobbs for a last minute inspection so we could get her new plates. Her car has been to Christian Brothers & Valvoline recently & we never had a problem. I receive a call from Dobbs & they are acting like her car is falling apart. They said it needs $2300 worth of work but the inspection passed. I'm not sure who's running this place but all the reviews seems to state the same thing. This is not how you run a business! read more

Been going to Dobb's for years. I feel I can trust them with all my vehicles. The repair men are knowledgeable always staying up to date with the newest innovations on car repairs. Whenever I have had questions or issues they always take the time to answer my concerns. Tire prices are excellent and they stand behind there workmanship. I had to take my car back 3 times to complete the job I paid them to do: forgot to balance one tire, forgot the oil change, didnt know what the tire lock key looked like it was sitting in plain site, blamed the car running poorly on bad rims until they figured out one tire wasnt balanced. read more

I always take my car here to get my tires changed! They have a wonderful friendly staff and take care of you and your car as quickly as possible. There's plenty to do close by if it's going to take a little longer, but if it's a quick repair they have a private waiting room you can utilize that's nice and quiet. Paul was very helpful with helping me pick the best tires for my car in the price range I could afford, he seemed extremely knowledgeable and didn't try to push anything unnecessary. Tire pressure light came on and stopped at the closest place. Went in to ask if they could check it for us. They said sure someone would be right out. After watching service people walk right by us in and out for at least 10 minutes, we discussed leaving however we gave them another 5 minutes. Finally went in again and asked how much longer. They apologized and eventually the poor guy behind the counter came out in freezing weather with no coat and checked and filled the tires. I want to let everyone know that Kyle, Paul, and I am assuming the Store Manager treated me and my son in a manner that made me feel like we were the most important people in the world this past Saturday (3/14/15). After starting out from where we live in Troy, IL to Memphis, TN with our camper (which had brand new tires installed on it from a camper dealer), we had a blow out on I-255 just east of the I-55 exit. After changing to the spare tire and going to a local RV store they directed me to Dobbs on Jeffco Blvd. When we arrived the Store Manager and Kyle sprung into action and got the tire(s) changed and had us back on the road in less than an hour. Furthermore, while we were waiting they gave us ride to a local restaurant so that we could eat while they got us "IN, UP, FIXED, and OUT". Paul also offered to turn our camper around since the parking lot was so tight. As you can see from my e-mail address I work for a local dealer group, and I made the comment to one of my co-workers that if our service departments treated every customer the way that I was treated by Dobbs, we wouldn't have to worry about losing basic maintenance business to you. We showed up with just a tire needing to be patched and were told that it would be an hour to an hour and 15 min wait due to them treating flat tires as a number one priority. We called an hour and a half later after not receiving a phone call and they said that they were behind and pulling the vehicle in now and that it would be another 20 mins. We were fine with that, well when showing up an hour later to see the progress on the repair, they had not even pulled my car in to look at it yet. I was furious when I then found out that the person who lied to me about the time and the promise was the store manager Tony. If you are behind and short staffed be honest with your customers. This was just all around bad business and I will NEVER be coming back here or referring Dobbs to anyone as I took chance on them after hearing horrible reviews from co-workers on their service earlier in the week. read more

For the third time this year, this particular shop has made mistakes that have cost me return trips, days without my vehicle, and tons of frustration. To keep it short, there was a poor install on a belt tensioner on my van that caused the belt to slip off after 10 miles causing another day in the shop for the van. There was a axle seal replacement that did not fix the leak that caused me to take the car in, car had to go back and cost me another day without my vehicle. And today it's ordering the wrong part to fix a brake light that they diagnosed as faulty, which is more time wasted driving back and forth and waiting. Give people a a second chance, not a third. I probably have myself to blame for this one. I should have never gone back. read more

My family and I have been using this Dobbs location for all of our cars for years.... We are generally happy with the service they give us. The people at the front desk are very friendly and seem to be helpful enough... Its just beginning to irritate me that nearly every time I take my car there for something, I end up having to make 2-3 trips back there because they didn't fix it right. Didn't tighten a seal enough. Didn't see there was something more to the problem. I've recently even had to take my car back because I paid for an oil change that they didn't do... the oil level was low and dirty less than 2 weeks after they supposedly changed it... After so much loyalty to this business I would expect better care. I've also had them lie to me... I was next door at Panera and called them to ask about the status of my car and they told me they had it up in the garage working on it, when I could plainly see it still sitting in the parking lot... I'm starting to get fed up with this business and and seriously contemplating going elsewhere from now on, unless they get their *#$& together. read more

I came and brought my car in to get a tire patched. I waited over 2 hours because apparently they were waiting for the parts dept. to bring another lug nut because the one I had was supposedly bad. Well after waiting (with my surprisingly patient 18mo old) they finally told me they didn't have the part and would call when it came in. 10 days later, still no call. I went up to Chicago for a family situation so I stopped by the Volvo dealership I used to go to so that I can just pick up a lug nut there. It was the end of the day and they said they could just put it on for me. Then I was told whoever messed with it broke the lug nut so there were prices suck and had to take the tire off and try to get all the pieces out. Apparently if a lug nut is too tight, most places suggest you take it to the dealership. But Dobbs decided to rip it out and do more damage. so now I am back in town, waiting at the dealership to fix what Dobbs messed up and never told me about.
