The dealerships wouldn't help because I had not bought a BMW OEM motor at over $600 (I bought a 3rd party motor that had an identical spec to the OEM motor for under $200). I contacted Joe's because, honestly, the name sounded like a local shop that wouldn't give me a run around. I was right. The gave me an appointment for that week. I waited in the shop while they installed the motor in under 1.5 hours and was on my way for under $200. So, BMW was going to charge me over $1,000 for parts/labor. With Joe's garage, I was able to get it done for under $400. Huge savings and very happy customer.

I estimate that I spent at least around $6,000 with them since then. I always overlooked the rudeness both on the phone and in person because my first several experiences felt on the level, tho it always seemed pricey. I'm not a complete dummy when it comes to car stuff, so I usually went in with a pretty good idea of the problems. In the last few years, i ALWAYS left spending more than they'd first estimated. My last visit was last summer when I was having break problems. As usual, they seemed pretty annoyed, but replaced the pads and supposedly the rotors. About a week ago, my breaks suddenly started grinding again and I went to a different shop. Had a great experience there and was told that either the rotors hadn't been replaced or were replaced with substandard or the cheapest possible parts and the pads didn't have the squeal indicators (the cheapest possible pads). Their bill last year did NOT reflect cheap parts. I wish I wouldn't have overlooked the rudeness and started going elsewhere years ago.
