Do-rite definitely does their donuts and breakfast sandwiches right! My husband and I stopped in and apparently we came at the perfect time. There were only 5 other people when we first walked in, when we were leaving all the tables were full and the line was almost out the door. Staff members were able to keep up with the influx of people which makes me believe this is normal for them. This is located underneath the L tracks so it can get loud. But, when in the west loop - where is it actually quiet? lol. There's about 20 indoor seats. We shared the bacon, egg, and cheese breakfast sandwich and also tried 2 donuts - Boston cream and vanilla bean glazed. The Boston cream was OK, there was a weird taste to the chocolate though. We visited Do-Rite Donuts as part of the Fulton Market Underground Donut Tour! This was an awesome first stop, and set the bar incredibly high for the rest of the spots on the tour (spoiler alert, our favorite donut from the tour was from Do-Rite!) Our group got to try three donuts, each more delicious than the last. I'm not even much of a donut person regularly, but you could just tell these were made with love. We started with the old-fashioned cinnamon donut, which was a fun and flavorful twist on the classic. Our second donut was the Valrhona Chocolate Cake, which had the most delicious chocolate glaze. But the star of the show, Do-Rite's masterpiece, was their seasonal peaches and cream donut. This was unlike any donut I've ever tried ... the donut itself was fluffy and light, and instead of a traditional cream filling, it was topped with a lovely housemade whipped cream and fresh peaches. Came to this place for doughnuts and you know how they do it. Do-Rite has a few locations, including this one in the West Loop. It actually is bigger than expected, as we thought there would be a counter and only a few tables. Also has coffee. The doughnuts is why people come and they got crap tons of crazy flavors. Busiest in the morning of course. It's a few blocks from the popular places in Fulton Market. There's a lot to choose from and they even have a few okay for vegans. Has enough tables in here to handle a crowd. There's also coffee which of course is good with all this. It's $5 to get an oat milk latte. Refreshing. It's about $2.25 for a doughnut. We got a couple of these. A few vegan flavors including the Double Chocolate and the Spiced Maple Chai. These are big and filling and enough to get through a morning. For sure it's one of the most popular places around here at breakfast. It's located close to the Morgan Street Green Line station. There's a few things for vegans. read more

Wow, this place certainly lives up to the hype! Both the cake and yeast donuts were spot on texturally. Super soft on the inside & crisp on the outside. Do Rite has a smorgasbord of flavors - something for everyone! I got the OG old fashioned, apple fritter, blueberry crumb, pistachio lemon, raspberry bullseye, and maple bacon. If I had to pick my fave, it would 10000% be the old fashioned. The outside is super crunchy & the glaze has a caramelized taste to it. Absolutely phenomenal. Doughnut Vault made me a believer in old fashioned & cake donuts, but I gotta hand the crown to Do Rite. Do Rite's donuts are a bit fluffier imho. My 2nd fave was the blueberry crumb. The little pockets of blueberry jam are perfection. The powdered sugar also tasted cinnamon-y(?) - a great flavor. The others were great too, but if I had some critiques, the bacon on the maple bacon should be crispier & the jam on the raspberry bullseye was too sweet for my liking. The raspberry bullseye was my least favorite due to this, but everything else was spot on. Great quality real fruit jam though! We came right at closing and they were pretty much wiped out of every flavor. Luckily they still had the Pistachio Lemon and Double Chocolate Vegan Donut. I placed my order for a Bacon Egg and Cheese combo, which came with two hash browns and a choice of coffee hot or iced. Nostalgia kicked in as I was brought up enjoying old fashion donuts. I always remember my grandad with the morning coffee and the side with a plain old fashion. But these aren't just plain old fashions here, Do-Rite has some nice modern flavors combinations. Curb appeal with a bite and texture that definitely brought the "mmmm" out with each bite. I ate my sandwich and here's my thoughts. I thought the breakfast sandwich was okay. Although the flavor was nice, the amount of egg was short on ratio to the bread. Also the bacon wasn't well distributed. As for the donuts, they were good. As a low key stop by the train station, I would have missed this if not for the giant donut sign in front. There's a cute little patio right by with a nice view of some of the city scenery. Service is just at the counter, and we came in the early afternoon so it was nice and quick. When you get a donut, coffee is only like a dollar, which is a great deal! Went here to get 6 donuts for a Sunday morning treat for my family. I noticed the "$1.00 coffee with any purchase" sign and added a medium coffee to my order. After paying and leaving, I noticed that I was charged $3.94 for the coffee, so I contacted the store regarding the discrepancy. Note: There is no phone number publicly available, so the only option for customers is email. Monica G. responded to my email, apologized for the inconvenience, and indicated she would refund me the entire amount that I paid for the coffee ($3.94). However, Monica then asked if the coffee was a "small" or "medium." When I confirmed that I ordered a medium coffee, Monica said the promotion is for small coffee only. In my email reply to Monica G. I pointed out the following: 1. The sign says, "$1.00 coffee with any purchase" with no mention of coffee size. 2. The coffee sleeve that the Do-rite employee put on my MEDIUM coffee says "$1." 3. If a small coffee is $1.00, why would a medium coffee cost almost 4 times as much? I have not heard back from Monica G., and I don't anticipate I will. It wasn't my first time at Do-Rite, but my friend and I made a date to specifically try their donut, chicken sandwich and can I just say wow. We split one thinking it would be too rich, but it was perfect. They slice a vanilla glazed donut in half and use that as the top and bottom for the chicken. It also includes lettuce, pickles and mayo, which I thought would be weird with the donut, but oh was I wrong. Everything went really well together and it was less "donut forward" than expected - it felt balanced. Also, the chicken was super crispy outside and soft on the inside. Two weeks later, we went back for the regular hot and spicy chicken sandwich and that was also fire. Truthfully, a great lunch spot for a casual, satisfying bite. And their donuts are delicious too. Literally the best donuts in chicago (sorry Doughnut Vault but Do-Rite is just more accessible). Have tried the whole gamut here and there isn't a single donut I've had that has just been ok or meh. The old fashioned and chocolate old fashioned are immaculate. Blueberry crumble is unique. Coconut dream is one of my top go tos. Pistachio Mayer lemon and orange olive oil are amazing. French cruller. I can go on and on. Do yourself a favor, go here, and buy everything. BUT WAIT. I DIDN'T EVEN MENTION THE CHICKEN. This might be one of the best chicken sandwiches/chicken tenders I have ever tried. The stuff of a sugar addicts dreams. 2- Valhalla chocolate cake - the chocolate icing is so fudgy and chocolatey which is amazing, sometimes donuts are too sugary and not chocolatey enough but this is not the case. 3- cinnamon crunch - sort of like a cinnamon role without the icing. One star is lost because service was quite slow- I got there Sunday morning when it opened and had to wait for probably 15 minutes, there probably needs to be more people working on weekend mornings. First these donuts are huge!! This place has been on my list for a very long time. Next time I visit, I want to try their breakfast and chicken sandwiches. Just fyi, their donuts are all pretty sweet so if you don't like super sweet donuts, maybe this place isn't for you. Pistachio lemon: I thought this was ganna be my fav but it was the opposite. I always get a pistachio donut but this one was just not appetizing to me. The lemon in its name was appealing to me but I barely tasted any lemon. Maybe there was just too much pistachios? Because it was very very nutty and the donut itself was kind of dry. Blueberry crumb: This one was so yummy! So moist and not dry at all! This donut is perfect to have for breakfast. Maple bacon: Their classic take on maple bacon. Delicious as always. Came with 2 pieces of candied bacon on top. They did not skimp out on the bacon size either. Cheese danish: I was most excited to try this one (clearly when I took a bite before taking my picture). Literally tastes just like a cheese danish in donut form! Orange olive oil: This one is probs in my top 3. Orange + olive oil just sounds so heavenly together.
