We really can't say enough about DMV, these guys were fantastic. My husband and I started looking into remodeling our kitchen right when we bought our house. As such, we were working on a very specific budget and had also never done any type of remodeling before. We chose to go with DMV after speaking with at least eight different contractors, several of which we found on Angie's List. Cemmy came out to our house for the initial estimate. He arrived on time and discussed with us what we had in mind, which including knocking down a wall to combine the current kitchen and dining room into one larger kitchen. He emailed us the design idea and estimate a few days later. At this time we were still getting estimates from several other contractors and trying to feel our way through the entire process, but during that time Cemmy was not pushy at all. He did not repeatedly call us, pressuring us to make a decision like some of the other contractors did. He was so incredibly patient over this time period; promptly responding to every single email and question. In addition to the million emails, we went to the showroom a few times and everyone there was so helpful too. Cemmy and Oscar helped us adjust the design and estimate to fit within our budget and helped us pick out all the materials. In addition, Javier was very knowledgeable and helpful in responding to some of our structural concerns (it's an old house). Ultimately, it was this patience, willingness and responsiveness that helped us decide that DMV was the best choice and three months after our initial meeting we signed a contract with DMV. Best decision ever. These guys are amazing. Being novices to the entire remodeling experience, we were very nervous about all the things that could go wrong and the horror stories we had heard from other people. Obviously, those people had not chosen to work with DMV because we had a fantastic experience. At the signing of the contract, we had set the date for when the work would start and when it would be completed. Sure enough, on the first day they were there at 8am ready to go. The crew worked 8am to 6pm, Monday through Saturday. Everyone was incredibly polite and they did a fantastic job of cleaning up at the end of every day. The work we needed done was extensive and included gutting the entire kitchen; ripping up the floor and putting down a new subfloor for the new tile floor; moving HVAC vents; installing recessed lights and under-cabinet lights; installing all new cabinets and countertops; installing a tile backsplash; installing our new appliances and getting rid of the ones that we could not donate; and widening the entry way into the kitchen. They worked quickly and took great pride in the quality of their work. Every aspect was done with the utmost care. And on top of that, they even did some additional work for us that had nothing to do with the kitchen. Our bathroom exhaust vent had never worked well and the moisture was causing mold and mildew in our bathroom. We mentioned that to DMV and they said they would fix it without a problem. They put in an exahust vent in the attic and we have not had a problem with moisture since. Their flexibility and willingness to help us, at no cost to us, was so greatly appreciated. Cemmy was in constant contact with us throughout the entire process. There were a couple bumps in the road, as to be expected with any large project. We would text Cemmy with our concerns and he would immediately respond and the issue would be addressed by the next day. They addressed every single concern we had and made sure that we were 100% satisfied with every aspect. They finished on time and everything looks fantastic! We are so happy with the kitchen and the entire experience. It will certainly save us a great deal of time when we can get around to remodeling our bathroom because we already know who to call. read more

DMV did massive amount of work inside my house in March-May this year, including pulling up carpet in two rooms, recarpeting bedroom, and laying Brazilian cherry parquet floor in the living room (including installing subfloor), which they also (at my request) treated with oil (several applications) instead of stain and polyurethane. They also repainted all rooms except bathrooms, wallpapered kitchen, dining room, living room accent wall, replaced backsplash tiles in kitchen, built an oak proscenium arch around and installed drapery rod inside opening between living room and dining room, and replaced bland balustrade room divider by installing antique oak communion rail I imported from the Netherlands, and installed oak wainscot panelling in the dining room. They also replaced front door deadbolt, doorknobs on bedroom door, installed new deadbolt on door from laundry room to garage, removed sliding door and replaced with French door in kitchen, repainted deck, front door, and front window shutters, replaced sidelights with security glass, replaced closet doors in bedroom with mirrored glass sliding doors. They replaced several light fixtures as well, and all three toilets, and mounted several curtain rods. All work was done beautifully, much of it by one extremely talented gentleman (Orlando) who was an absolute joy to have 'underfoot' (I had to move in and live in the house for a few weeks before all work was done). And they cleaned up everything when they were done! Huzzah! Best of all, the prices for all the work were extremely fair, especially for the fine quality. I spent more on mediocre work to get my mother's house presentable for sale than I did having my own new house converted into the house of my dreams! I cannot recommend them too highly! A GREAT REMODELING EXPERIENCE!!! - The DMV Kitchen and Bath staff made our remodel project such a pleasant experience. Our extensive project included the remodel our old office to a waiting room and build new office at our business. We appreciated the fact that the dust and debris were kept to a minimum during demolition and there were never construction items left inside our office. Because all construction was done on evenings and weekends, and we were open thru all construction. Our project manager was always available to respond to any questions or issues that arose. The workers were courteous and did great work. As with any remodel, there were a few challenges, but DMV Kitchen and Bath met those challenges with a positive attitude and always found a solution. There were many times that they went far beyond the call of duty to make sure our vision became a reality and always did their best to stay within our budget. Our office and waiting room is now very beautiful and functional than we could ever have imagined. All our customers love it the new waiting room. And we love our new beautiful office. Our decision to use DMV Kitchen and Bath for the remodeling of 3 bathrooms and a kitchen was one of the best decisions we ever made. When we first met with Oscar and Javier, they were very patient, listened to what we wanted, then made suggestions about how to provide what we wanted. When we had finalized a plan and materials, they gave us a quote and said that the estimate would not change unless we made major changes during the remodeling. True to their word, we made quite a few minor changes and asked them to do some other small tasks not originally requested, but the estimate stayed the same. One thing we really liked was that they don't subcontract anything. Their guys were very knowledgeable, trustworthy, and pleasant and it was always a pleasure having them in our house. They took care to protect the rest of the house while they were working and always cleaned up thoroughly before they left. If we had any issues about anything, Javier and Oscar were always a phone call away. Since the remodeling was finished, we have called on DMV for a few small jobs and they always sent someone over to help us within a day or two. DMV hands down!!! We wanted to renovate our kitchen. We met with a total of 5 contractors to get a quote. DMV came in on the lower side of our budget; we loved their renderings and professionalism so we decided to move forward with them. Our designer, Frank, guided us through the entire process suggesting ideas but also listening to our vision and being open to almost any option, even if it meant ordering from outside their showroom. In the middle our project we were transferred to Javier as our designer. The transfer was seamless and easy. Javier and his team completed our project one day BEFORE the scheduled completion date! Almost unheard of in the construction world. Frank and Javier were consistently prompt with their communication via text, phone, or email. They worked through any problem that arose with haste and experience. I have recommended them to my parents, my neighbors, and co-workers without hesitation. We plan to move forward with them on our masterbath renovation in the future. And most of all I have a BEAUTIFUL, gleaming, modern, and stylish kitchen that aligns with my vision. In late 2022, we used DMV Kitchen and Bath to fully gut and renovate a full bathroom in an old DC rowhouse. We highly recommend them. We worked primarily with Frank on the project. Frank was great through every step of the process. He helped us clarify and finalize our design, dealt with DC permits, and worked with us throughout the project, and he was very responsive to our questions and request for a touch up after the project was complete. When unexpected issues arose, Frank would give us options and help us decide what would best meet our needs. For example, when it became clear the very old water pipes feeding the bathroom needed to be replaced, Frank provided a list of options at various price points and walked us through the implications of each option. Even with a hiccup like that -- happening the day before Thanksgiving -- the project was only briefly delayed. The project was completed within days of the target finish date, even with those unexpected issues arising. We very much enjoyed working with DMV Kitchen and Bath and the team. read more

DMV remodeled our full bath in October 2017 in Gaithersburg. Jose managed the work and the two-man team was consistent, conscientious and careful. DMV was open to my edits to the contract and I was particularly happy with the specificity of the materials spec'd out in writing from the start. The job began as agreed, which turned out to be a full month sooner than the other option I was considering. We experienced no surprises. Communications were facilitated through Jose as the on-site folks were very quiet. For the features I was picky about (e.g., height of shower head and shower wall niche), I stuck my head in and asked when those things were under construction and they were all placed accurately. There was one interruption in the work when our team had to go for 1 or 2 days to a kitchen job that preceded ours and had been stalled by a cabinet delivery. I felt I would have also wanted that treatment (original team back to finish something), so I didn't begrudge it. Our job completed on time and the workmanship was impeccable. read more

We love our renovation, and the DMV team was great. About the team - Cemmy, our design specialist and main point of contact, spent a lot of time with us to get the design and finishes right. He was always extremely responsive throughout the project and has remained so even now that everything is done. Javier, our project manager, was enjoyable to work with and helpful in discussing the technical aspects of the renovation. He gave us confidence that the job would go well. The rest of their team was extremely hardworking and polite and left a clean job site. They did very good work and went the extra mile by fixing issues outside of the scope of our contract for free. I also appreciated that they brought in a structural engineer to weigh in on our removal of a supporting wall and performed additional work to help bring our basement up to code. DMV Kitchen and Bath did such a quality job on our new kitchen and flooring. Our kitcehn looks like something out of a magazine. The crew always arrived on time and cleaned up after themselves which was a huge plus considering the project was located in the middle of our home! I had no idea wanted, I didn't know what colors I wanted, or even the type of flooring. To say that my life has improved since hiring DMV to do my master bathroom suite would be an understatement. Our bathroom is amazing. Ivan Nogales was fantastic to work with, he walked us through every consideration at the beginning and was very flexible and responsive to our needs.
