I dont think I've been to the DMV for at least 4-6 years especially that location. I actually only waited about 20 minutes before I got called up to Window #9 and a representative named, Michelle helped me. We learned that we both Had the SAME exact birthday. I had started out addressing a concern to her about these 2 random guys wearing masks (hazmat type) and uniforms who were outside recording people and getting in their faces as youre walking in and a lot of us gals were VERY uncomfortable. Not sure who those guys were there but it was unnerving. Michelle apologized (not her fault) and made me feel heard. She went and told several coworkers and her supervisor about those guys. She even told me to go out the back exit to avoid them. I saw the Supervisor actually addressing those guys and telling them to stay away from people who were trying to come inside. Michelle was very sweet and soft spoken and just so easy to talk to and it made my experience very pleasant besides those guys recording people outside.

The day of your appointment you get an email to check in ahead of time and get your number and then you walk in, take a seat and wait to be called up. Took 10 minutes to be called up and they pulled up my application from my confirmation code and verified my info, then gave me a temporary license and told me to wait in line for my photo. Both agents that assisted me were very nice and helpful because I usually get anxious about government appointments. In total, it took 30 minutes for everything and I even had parking up close.

The fact that my Father was not getting oxygen every time I would go in (which was every day) his tank was empty. So they sent yet another report which is basically the same as the first, just a different date on it. They stated nothing was wrong when they went in, which is total BS. This Department is a joke. It's put here to make people believe that they have recourse when their loved ones are not being taken care of in these Nursing Facilities. I was there every single day with my Dad and saw all kinds of nurses who did not know their jobs, who would lie to my face after I'd seen them do something with my own two eyes. Keep your loved ones out of these places. They are government run just like this Department of Health. They work together and are not going to admit it when somebody screws up and kills your family member. The doctor Alex Chan who works at the Nursing Facility gave my Father a heart medication which said right on it that it could cause small bowel obstruction. My Dad wound up in the ER with guess what? A small bowel obstruction. They told me there was nothing they could do for him, but pull the plug. My family had to come in and pull the plug on a Father who still had 90% of his mind, could still get up and walk and talk, unlike the others who are allowed to sit around brain dead and drooling. Yet "nothing was wrong" according to this California Department of Health. Don't waste your time with these people. They will just send you an old report hoping you don't read the date on it and not even bother to go to the facility unless you call them on it. They are ignorant, incompetent and a waste of your time. Beth Berk plays the role, but was busted this time. You might as well resign Beth, you're not helping anybody.

It was decorated like a 1950s diner, resplendent with a self-serve coffee bar, filtered water fountain for hot and cold water and plenty of refreshments. The room was air-conditioned with a cute little table in the middle and plenty of seating despite the small space. It's perfect if you're planning to stay and wait. It was early in the day, so I took a walk around since it's in the heart of Old Town, near all sorts of wonderful little businesses. As such, they gave me a call upon service completion.

The librarian read 3 books that were part of the Lunar Year genre and in between had some mini interactive song activities. Love that my daughter participated. At the end of storytime they crafted a Snake and that was definitely my 3yo favorite. It's nice that the public libraries provide these kinds of free activities for the kids. My daughter did a great job listening though at times it was a bit challenging to hear. Would love to join in another Storytime event. Plenty of free parking.
