Hall of Records - The metal detector guy showed the hubby where a drop box was for tax payments. You can drive up to it.

On a positive note, there was a payment drop box outside in the drive through parking area. Next time, we'll just put a stamp on the envelope!

Man, what wonderful service I received here. Juliet just about held my hand walking me through all the double checking I wanted to do. Patient, kind and professional, she really brought the human touch (without actually touching a human) to this department. Mary Ann, likewise was awesome and helpful. And it's a good thing, as I had them laughing at my corny jokes, Rob, their supervisor, came up to the front counter as well. As it would turn out, Rob and I go the same church, Riverpark Bible Church. Go Riverpark! Anyway, as a result of this trip and the fantastic service, I learned that I need to take advantage of a 'Homeowner's Exemption Form' that essentially with reduce the value from which the property is taxed about 7K. Hot Dog! Thank you good Lord for the good people you plugged me in with today who further helped me to ensure my interests! I might have missed it were it not for their awesome service! In way of encouragement to you, Juliet, and the staff, your extra attention was so greatly appreciated! Keep up the good work! -G

Hall of Records - Oh, no! Not standing in that long line to pay property taxes.

Hall of Records - Undoubtedly the ugliest statue in Fresno - very striking, but certainly not beautiful.

My husband and I finally had our green card interview in this office. Our appointment was very…read moreearly in the morning and there were only a few other people there with appointments. Parking is available right in front of the building which you can pay for by credit card or cash. Security staff was friendly but remember to have your appointment invite ready to show them, in order to get into the building. Security was a metal detector and x-ray scanner just like at the airport, and we also had to remove our shoes. You check in on the first floor, just past security, are given a number, then take the elevator to the second floor waiting room. We waited a short time in the waiting room before an officer entered the waiting room, called our number, and led us to our interview room. It looks like for other types of visits, your number will appear on a TV screen (just like the DMV) and you simply approach one of the counters in the waiting room. Our actual interview was maybe 10 minutes and pleasant enough. We brought any and all documentation we could think of for our case, but only ended up showing our mortgage paperwork. Our case was approved on the spot. Overall it was a pretty easy visit and we didn't have a negative experience with anyone working there. Also note that as of November 2021 everyone is still wearing masks in this office so plan to bring one.

This is an appointment-only office that serves Fresno and the surrounding areas…read more I've had a few different appointments in here as part of my immigration process. The USCIS website is fairly user friendly and has a lot of useful information. There's a decent amount of parking around the building, most of it metered so bring quarters. There are also a few different parking lots within a quarter-mile walk if it's busy. They don't seem to be super strict about arrival times: as long as you have an appointment letter they'll check you in then you'll wait to be called regardless of what you're there for. Inside it's a modern building, really clean. Inside the door there's a guard who checks your appointment letter (so be sure to bring that) and ID. There's security to enter the building - an x-ray scanner for personal items and a walk-through metal detector. I was asked to remove my shoes. Then there's another check-in point where they'll put you in the system and tell you where to go. The waiting room I've been in for appointments here is pretty big and spacious, with two restrooms and screens around to display which number is being served (like at a deli). They're not strict about cell phone use (as in using your phone in your hand, not calls) but I usually bring a book. As government buildings go it's a pleasant enough place to wait, but as with all government service buildings I think everyone would probably feel less anxious about waiting if they were to play some quiet music. I've found the staff to be professional, courteous and helpful here, from security to check-in to processing.
