My Wife and I have been shopping there for many years and this is my first review. Every time I go…read morethe service has been excellent! Whenever I have a question it's always answered with kindness and professionalism. I realize that some days especially the weekends are very busy and sometimes you have to wait a few minutes until it's your turn which is no big deal. I go there for their plant quality and knowledge. I have never experienced rudeness like some 1and 2 star reviews which I don't understand. So I would definitely recommend this place for any landscaping advice.

I really wanted to love this place and I even started following them on Instagram because their…read moreplants and home decor are genuinely beautiful. It's also super convenient for me since it's just a 2-minute drive away, and I'd happily pay a little more to support a local spot like this. That said, I've been utterly disappointed by the customer service on multiple visits. On one occasion, I asked a question and later realized I was speaking with the owner (I recognized her from Instagram). She came across as very dismissive and annoyed that I was asking for help. On at least three other visits, I've had similar experiences with staff seeming irritated or put out when I asked questions or wanted to check out, but that shouldn't surprise me because culture is set from the top. I've tried giving them several chances because I really do love their products, but the customer experience has consistently been off-putting. I hope they stay around and just improve their outlook on their customers.

They had a lot of knowledge and it was a beautiful day just to walk around and smell the flowers and look at the different kinds of plants and listen to the bells trimming what a great selection and a beautiful experience. Thank you very much Brooke for a great day and memories for my dad and me. Off to Idaho we go, but as soon as we can come back, you can bet we're gonna stop by again. Have a beautiful and blessed day and thanks again

I am a long time resident of Dana Point and love to support local, family run businesses…read more Unfortunately, my experience with Dana Point Nursery has been consistently disappointing, and almost entirely due to customer service. Over the years, I have found the owner, Brooke, to respond to most requests with some variation of "no." Do you carry a particular item? No. Can you order something specific? No. Can I exchange something? No. Can I return an item I purchased just a few hours earlier? No. The most recent example was a simple request for a 10-gallon plastic pot. Last week, I was told they were out of stock and to come back after Friday. When I returned this weekend, they still didn't have one. While walking through the nursery, I noticed a used 10-gallon pot and asked whether I could buy it. The answer was no, and I was told to come back next week. The problem wasn't that they were out of stock. Businesses run out of products all the time. The problem was the complete lack of initiative to help solve the customer's problem. A simple offer to order one when I first visited, or even an attempt to suggest an alternative, would have turned a frustrating experience into a positive one. Instead, I went to Armstrong and bought what I needed there. What makes this particularly disappointing is that Dana Point Nursery depends on the support of the local community. Most people want to support independent businesses, but customer loyalty is earned through helpfulness and service. Unfortunately, after several experiences like this, I have decided to take my business elsewhere.

Great selection of seasonal vegetables, herbs, and flowers, as well as a beautiful succulent section. Terra cotta pots are reasonably priced. Solid selection of soils and mix-ins. Water fountains and list goes on...The price was cheaper than the other nursery that usually I go so it was reasonably priced...The workers were gem...So kind...They were so patient and knowledgeable...This place is one of the places that you can find CITRUS tree but you can bring out to the nursery and you need tell one of the employees to keep it for you aside (due to citrus quarantine). As you know bringing them out could spread problems like citrus greening disease or even pests to other healthy trees...So be cautious! Im happy that they had the tree so no problem to keep it aside till the shopping is done. Citrus pricing was great for example: 7 Gal was $79.99 plus tax and 15 Gal was $249.99. So great bargain. Inside, also is therapy...Gorgeous decoration and they were so selective about every piece they sell so it was an enjoyable shopping experience. Also, i love their return policy they have 1 year exchange or store policy and i attached it for review. I ended up buying lot of cute things that i didnt have plans to buy but its ended up another great selection to my little garden. There is also a big parking lot so no worries to find a place and YES its crowded bit you can manage it easily.
