Blocked my mailbox, parked in front of fire hydrant, left black tar all over street front of my house (not the one they were hired for) While I was talking to my wife, some clown sitting in his truck, decided to open his door and start yapping at me about who owns the road ?? I was talking to wife about her work and that guy decided to make an assumption that was 100% incorrect. I had asked another of the guys earlier to just be careful near my yard and that conversation was fine. He was a nice guy and I even brought them over a couple powerades after. Why the other guy decided to be a jerk and create a problem when one didn't exist is beyond me. Then a boss or possibly an owner of EJ Paving, old guy with white hair, shows up with a Methuen PD officer in his EJ work vehicle trying to make me move my car ?? Not sure how that works ?? It must be nice to get that kind of service from police ( who didn't seem to care very much that they were parked directly in front of a fire Hydrant ). I need my driveway done but I will NEVER use EJ Paving and I dont have a single nice thing to say about whoever runs things. Still am really confused as to why the officer is riding around with EJ Paving and acting as hired intimidation though ?? Out of fairness ill say again that my review isn't related to the paving but it IS related to the total lack of professionalism or respect of property surrounding job site. I'm sure they don't care about reviews based on how 2 of the 3 people chose to handle something they created. If I have an issue with something, or someone, I am very capable of handling it like an adult, EJ may want to give it a try given the bad rep they already have. finally, I will say this about the work they do, if you want to see the quality of the work EJ Paving is capable of- take a drive around Archibald Ave and that'll tell you a lot. The owner came by personally, and we talked through the whole job. The job included removal of asphalt, base material and prep, riprap retaining wall and not damaging the current field stone retaining wall. The team did a great job but the unexpected rain storm caused some issues. The owner said he wanted to replace whole driveway but I wasn't sure. It looked great but do to some rain damage I decide to get redone all for FREE!! Great company who cares about the work they do!

This also included a redo of our front yard. The project was still finished on time and still looks wonderful. Last year we had another patio completed and our yard leveled out which gives us another place to sit and enjoy yard games. It also looks great. We found J and R Fine Landscaping to be very responsive on all of our projects including smaller short notice needed yard maintenance projects. Jim Goddard always provided great advice on what we should do and what would look great but he would always work with what we wanted. The plowing of the streets has been fine and those doing the shoveling are doing a fantastic job. They respond to inquiries within 10 minutes if not less. I've even had them get back to me on Federal holidays when I wasn't expecting a response until later that week. We use them for mulch every season, for multiple lawn cleanings at the home we used to live at on Prospect St Andover, leaf removal every season, and large landscaping projects at our prior and current residences. They always do a great job and work start to finish without delays. I honestly don't even get prices from anyone else at this point. Tim will ask me what I want and what my budget is and then tells me what he can accomplish in that price range. It always looks better than what I imagined. Can't recommend them enough!
