    Pizza by the slice

DJ's is a great option for a casual pizza place with a family friendly sports bar kind of vibe. We thought their 10 inch pizza was the perfect size for two, but also love that they sell pizza by the slice! (And it's super reasonably priced- we also heard they have a lunch combo for a slice of pizza and a pop!) We had the chicken bacon ranch pizza and asked for it well done- the crust was moderately crispy, we would've probably liked a little bit crispier, but overall, it was really good! The cheese stix were also great, and I loved their ranch (which is a deciding factor for me ) We sat outside and service was a little slow at times, but it was a Saturday afternoon and we had no where to be, so it was alright. The pizza was definitely better than the other spots around with the same casual vibe, so we'll definitely be back!

I've been here several times, just keep forgetting to review it! I come here with my boyfriend as our Friday night pizza date spot. There's so much parking, there's no reason you would have to park far at all since it's in a strip mall type place. Plenty of seating indoors at high and low top tables. There's bar seating, and I am most excited to come in the summer to enjoy their nice outdoor seating! This place has never disappointed! It is consistently one of the best pizza places I've ever been to. Keep in mind, we order almost the same thing every single time we go, but still, it's always good. And the prices are good too! The most we ever spend with an XL pizza, breadsticks, and drinks is like $45 The staff is always friendly and fairly prompt even when it's pretty busy. I don't think we have ever waited longer than like 20 minutes for a table and like 30 minutes for food. Highly recommend!

We liked the option to sit inside or outside. We tried the crack sticks and they were good. The pizza and subs were very good too.

The food is always good, I think the wait staff is above average in friendliness and I especially like the meatball appetizer (polpetti al forno). I don't typically get pizza here but it's pretty good. The arrancini is also good. Decent beer selections if wine isn't your thing, and if you're near the north side of Hudsonville this is a great spot to try and worth driving to if you're not so close either!

I suppose the food is fine enough, but I've had several subpar experiences with their mussels here. It's not a hipster establishment, but the prices do make one question this restaurant's lore. I cannot reconcile the high price with the lack of quantity, regardless of "quality." Truly, I always come back because it's close to home and albeit sounds good, but Pepino's happy hour menu can't be beat imo. They also have nice pasta and it's only $10 on Thursdays instead of $15-23. I understand that Licari's is upscale Sicilian, but I think I prefer establishments that deliver on food and price rather than just talking a big game. Sorry Licari's. $30+ dollars for a salad and a drink is a bit much... I did see some happy hour special for bruschetta and a drink for $15. However, I probably won't come back to try it.

Good sandwiches as well; sloppy Joe was best of the group. Fries were great. They no longer have pizza, but they don't seem to lack for options. Everything reasonably priced. I was alone sitting at the bar trying to figure out which beer I wanted to try. The lady didn't ask what type of beers I like or offer any suggestions. I drank the cranberry seltzer, which was OK. Had a nice flavor and I felt like I was drinking Ocean Spray Cranberry juice. I will say the man who came on around 5 or 6 was super nice and attentive, but by that time I had given up and was planning my exit. 3. Employee Conversation-I overheard the employees talking about a large group who frequented the bar. I felt the employees were speaking a bit negatively about the group. I wish they had known there audience b/c I was part of that group. 4. Food-You have to order at the bar, which is cool. I can not speak to the food, b/c I didn't order any. Rather than listen to the employees talk about people who spend money in their establishment I went to Culvers down the street where they may talk about me but at least I don't know it. 5. The menu does not match what is on line. Prior to going there I looked at their on line menu and what I saw online did not match onsite. Perhaps if the bartender had been more invtiting I may have been more inclined to ask questions, but she didn't seem very interested in talking with me. Online they talk about doing a cool partnership with the funeral home to raise money for a cool veteran fund, I would have gotten that if I had felt more comfortable asking questions. 6.-Overall my experience was meh. I don't intend on returning, but in talking with other people they really seem to enjoy this place. From what I have heard the pizza is really good, I do like a good Chicago Style Pizza. I am sticking with my three stars. This is just my experience, I am all about supporting local businesses. I overheard the owner or manager telling someone they have a property in South Haven. South Haven has a piece of my heart as do local breweries. I hope I caught the place on a bad day and I hope more the SH establishement has friendlier staff.
