Champagne & Lace Bridal Centre - 3/4 satin slip dress in Sage

    Champagne & Lace Bridal Centre

    (10 reviews)

SHOP AT YOUR OWN RISK Not enough stress, disappointment, or frustration in your life? Change that…read moreimmediately and look for your dress at Champagne and Disgrace. You will be lied to. You will be disrespected. You will be gas lighted. If you want a knock off gown at designer prices, this is your destination. And don't expect it to fit like the sample, or even be the same fabric or colour. And when it doesn't fit, don't expect a refund (especially after you've signed the refund "waiver"). The owner, Robynn Mcfarlane provides bridesmaids, brides, graduates and moms with the quintessential nightmare shopping experience. Read the other bad reviews and believe them, but whatever you do, don't believe that you are trying on the dress that will be the one that arrives. She orders from China, and you're going to be left in an impossible situation. I suppose the plan is for her to retire beside a lake of brides' tears, and she couldn't care less - as a matter of fact, it would seem that she might actually find some sick satisfaction in it. You'd be better off buying a potato sack because when it doesn't fit right, at least you get to enjoy the potatoes. Shop anywhere but here. PLEASE, SHOP ANYWHERE BUT HERE. (P.S. When R. McUnFairlane disputes this review, her "side of the story" will be riddled with lies.)

After seeing the dress on me she agreed it was not good at all. Robyn was absolutely not rude to me once, her receptionist was. Robyn did offer for me to come have the dress altered at the store, for a price. This felt incredibly offensive as the dress is horrible and she is aware I can't make it to Abby from Burnaby in rush hour after work before they close. I tried twice to pick the dress up and failed. I have now had this dress "fixed" the best it can be by a professional seamstress. This was the second seamstress I had look at the dress. Both agreed the dress does not look as it does in the picture. It sits completely different. The dress is now fitted to me and still looks just terrible. The bride will have an absolutely beautiful wedding day. She completely understands mine, and a few of the other girls, issues with this dress. This will not effect her perfect day as we will make it work for her. I still stand by my previous review and will never purchase another item to this company. The customer is absolutely not always right, however in this case, unfortunately for me, I am.

Sadly, unprofessional experience…read more The staff seemed disinterested and not motivated from the beginning. There were plenty of mix ups. One of the tux's pants were too short above the ankle ( that's after it was measured on the person). All 3 of the tuxedos had missing black studs for the shirt buttons. There were 2 bow ties and one long tie instead of 3 bow ties. Sadly, we did not check the suits on day of pick up as we were there the day before for fittings. Upon returning the suits, no one was interested with the issues and their mix ups or addressing them. One of the staff that fitted the group and added the black studs just walked away without commenting. I do not recommend this company due to lack of service, care and professionalism. I do recommend you... check your suits and try them on the day of pick up to hopefully avoid issues. check each suit bag before dropping them off as they do a cursory check of the suit and the items.

After a really poor experience at a well known Tux Store in Vancouver, we thought we'd try our luck at Debonair and boy are we glad we did. Incredible service (ask for Rafi - he is the best!), great selection and more than fair pricing, we walked out with a tux rental for our wedding and a shirt to keep. We left feeling very confident after Rafi payed such special attention to us, gave us suggestions and made the whole experience an absolute breeze. Honestly we didn't realize how lacking the service / selection was elsewhere until we came here. Thank you Rafi!

Not only did I find my dream wedding dress at Sueño, but I had a wonderful time because of Myra. She was so attentive, so caring and so fun! They have a huge selection of all types of dresses and my dress, hairpiece and earrings were all under $250 and the quality of all three is excellent. I can't possibly recommend them more and we will be heading up from Seattle to shop with Norma and Myra for all of my daughter's High School dances moving forward.

However every time I call to inquire about appointments, or if a certain dress is in stock, I get hung up on. I called three times today, the same woman answered and hung up on me each time. The first time I thought it was a bad connection. By the second and third time it was clear that I was purposely being disconnected. I'm not one to usually write reviews, but I found it really irksome and irritating to be hung up on when I'm just trying to buy a dress. Don't bother trying to call them for any type of customer service, help on an order or help with anything regarding there store. They will answer and hang up. I suggest just going to a different store if the way they treat you on the phone is any indication of how they will in the future. Will not be buying the dress I wanted to from here anymore because of rude staff.

The store is called Indochino Custom Menswear and you would think its only for men right? Nope…read more.. They also do womenwear too. Yes Women can get customed shirts, suits, jackets and you name it. Well they to have to tailor and alternate it a bit more for women than for men. I walked in with an one hour appointment with their designer/specialist. It does take an hour for them to measure me and mark all measurements down. I tried on a suit (top and bottom), a vest, a coat and a shirt. Yes they have some generic size and they would pin you down to get the exact measurements. Then we went on to choose the fabric and the other nick nacks. Nick nacks like things I would not even know would be an option for a woman. Examples would be the types of color, the types of pockets (slanted or straight), The seam, pin hole and etc. After all that is done. They would review your order and then send it off to China to be made. The process was quite fun and educational too. Overall, I had a good experience. The people are friendly here. Customer service was excellent. I was offered water when I was being measured. I suggest going to their store to get measured than trying to do it yourself. Its a lot easier. I ended up ordering a suit, 5 shirts and 1 coat. The coat didn't fit me properly when it arrived. It was slightly too small. If the garment doesn't fit, you have a bout 10 days to bring it back. They had me wore the coat at the showroom and I told them where it was small. They made some adjustment and then sent it back to be remade. The coat arrived and I am very happy.

They have no chairs to offer (save one when asked for) so we were all standing awkwardly close to the mirrors. The woman who works there is capable of making her guests feel uncomfortable. Right off the bat, her first "welcoming" question was, "So have you girls been to other stores? (proceeded to saying) ...because I'm telling you my prices are better" (Pointing towards the cheapest rack). No, she really didn't offer a better deal than the other bridal stores on Columbia Street. She kept insisting during our entire visit that we HAVE to decide "FAST" because the deal will expire soon. She seemed to LACK respect for personal space. She called out the price for each item whenever we inspected a dress a little longer, adding obnoxious comments like "yeah, but that one is more expensive" REPEATEDLY. She asked us if we "have" cellphones so we could leave them out of the dressing rooms (I know why bridal stores are against taking photos of their dresses. Understood). No other store had asked us about our cellphones to leave behind prior to entering the change room--save this one. Those dresses she was advertising to us were not amazing to begin with, they looked mediocre. I have no idea why she didn't bring us to the nicer ones that were clearly there. BRAZEN, for my taste, to the point of everyone cringing. My friends and I were inevitably turned off by this visit. I will NOT recommend this poor place. I truly wish the owners luck, however.

The parking situation was a little bit confusing but other than that, everything went smoothly. Vimo is one of the few places here that offer rentals, which I thought was very cool. There's also discounts offered on previously rented dresses so there are lots of great deals. Mandy was the bridal consultant when I visited and she was super kind and helpful throughout the whole process. Although their website sounds very strict about time limits and trying on only 6 dresses, I never felt rushed at all or pressured to try fewer dresses. There were some really nice options and I even retried a few. I particularly liked that the sizes and styles they carry are more suitable for me. She wanted to come back the week later with her bridesmaid so the sales person said we can put a deposit down to hold the dress for a week. My sister ended up not getting the dress the following week and one week later she got an email saying the credit was expiring the next day. NEVER at any time did the sales person or team at Vimo say there was a time limit on this credit! Super shady practice to do this and leaves such a bitter taste in my mouth. In my opinion, the dresses itself are much too overpriced for the quality.
