I showed him the issues I was having with a toilet and two sinks, and he carefully explained what was going on in a way that made complete sense. He stepped back out to his van to coordinate with Laura on pricing, and within minutes had clear, straightforward options with numbers for me on how we could approach the problems. The only "product" used or provided was Roto-Rooter preventative pipe shield. 1 gallon. Walmart sells it for $20. For what I was charged for a 3 minute job, I could have bought a plumbing snake and a years supply of the "product" I was sold. I'm beginning to think the plumbing community is filled with companies who take advantage of customers and charge ridiculous prices for jobs that don't require the cost. I won't use them again after this experience. My drain is fixed and the man was nice but I don't like being raked over the coals financially for minimal work.
