Raymond is the best!!…read more My wife and I are so so thankful to have had Raymond DJ for our wedding. We had our own custom tracks, scripts, and playlists, and had several meetings with Raymond in preparation for the big day. Raymond is extremely professional and experienced, and working with him was super smooth and a great pleasure! On the day of our wedding, Raymond absolutely NAILED it! He exceeded our expectations and everything went absolutely perfectly. Raymond's MC skills are also incredibly impressive! He really brought the life and energy to our event, especially for our reception and dance party, and we couldn't thank him enough for it! Raymond is so creative with finding ways to get everyone up on their feet and in a great mood! Our wedding honestly would not have been anywhere near as awesome if it wasn't for Raymond. We hired him for night one, our welcome party, and originally expected the vibe to be pretty chill. We figured there might be some dancing, but that he would mostly be MCing and providing background music. Instead, he read the crowd so well that he somehow got everyone onto the dance floor at a party that was not even supposed to be our big dancing event. One moment perfectly sums up how good he is. During my maid of honor's speech, she mentioned that I love One Direction and Zayn Malik. Immediately afterward, Raffi played "What Makes You Beautiful," and it was SUCH a hit. I had never put that song on any request list and honestly would not even have thought to ask for it, but in the moment it was exactly the right song. That is Raffi's superpower. He actually listens to what is happening in the room, understands the crowd, and knows what people want to hear before you even realize it yourself. We are also an Indian couple, and even though Raffi is not specifically an Indian DJ, he mixed Indian and Western music together seamlessly. At one point we had people doing bhangra on the dance floor and everyone was SO excited. He absolutely understood the assignment. He also has a fantastic announcer voice and MC presence, while still feeling natural and fun rather than over-the-top. And beyond being talented, he is just such a kind guy and incredibly easy to work with. He took a welcome party that we expected to be relatively chill and turned it into one of the most fun nights of our wedding weekend. I genuinely cannot recommend DJ Raffi more highly.

As planners, we always appreciate working with vendors who are talented, reliable, collaborative, and easy to communicate with, and Raffi was all of that and more. We would absolutely recommend him and the Sound In Motion team to couples looking for an incredible DJ and a smooth, fun guest experience!

DJ Devere was amazing and absolutely crushed it as our wedding DJ and MC!…read more We came to him with a very specific vision to recreate our experience at Coachella--a mix of custom song requests and a blend of genres from EDM, Drum and Bass Dubstep, K-pop, and R&B--and he more than delivered! It was a blast. The dancefloor was full all night and we essentially tore the roof off of our wedding venue. He also custom-remixed a couple songs for us that allowed us to seamlessly transition from our grand entrance to wedding dance and then after for our grand exit. All flawless. Beyond the music, he was fantastic as our MC, keeping the events flowing effortlessly and maintaining incredible energy throughout the night. Not only was he an excellent communicator during the planning process, but he even helped us secure a photo booth vendor. Every step of the way, he handled my VERY specific requests with patience, creativity, and zero judgment. On the wedding day, he truly facilitated the entire event from start to finish. He kept everything running smoothly behind the scenes while still bringing such fun, warm energy to every moment. Our ceremony music was flawless, transitions were seamless, and the dancing portion of the night was exactly what I envisioned (dancing is my FAVORITE part of weddings, so this was very important to me!). He absolutely nailed the announcements and kept the vibe consistent and elevated. We received compliments about how fun the dancing portion was, and Edgar played a huge part in that. He read the room perfectly and knew exactly how to keep the energy high without ever feeling forced. It was important for us to have diversity among our vendors, but also to have someone who intuitively understood the music preferences of my Filipino family. At the same time, Edgar's music knowledge spans everything, including the genres I love most, which made the night feel both culturally familiar and uniquely tailored to us. Professional, fun, attentive, and genuinely talented, Edgar helped make our wedding unforgettable and I would absolutely recommend him to anyone looking for DJ services for ANY event!!! By the end of the conversation, it genuinely felt like we were talking to a friend. DJ Jeremy was well prepared and well-spoken on our initial call, and we could tell he's extremely experienced in what he does. After we signed the contract, DJ Jeremy and his business partner and wife Jeannine sent over comprehensive guides of what they needed from us prior to our wedding date. It was very helpful to have organized requests and made it easy to share everything I was envisioning for wedding day, from ceremony music to cake cutting music to of course the dance floor music. He was extremely detail oriented, double checking with us on the exact timing of some of our selected songs (e.g. playing a song right as we had our first kiss). On the day of, it was so nice to hear all the fun music we chose throughout the day, like for cocktail hour and dinner. Jeremy even secretly coordinated ahead of time with one of our bridesmaids to play a snippet of a surprise song during one of the toasts, which was a very fun surprise. Jeannine was a fantastic MC, hyping up the crowd and making sure we moved according to the timeline. And of course, DJ Jeremy did a spectacular job with the dance floor music, assessing the audience and transitioning songs seamlessly. One of the best choices he made was adding one additional "last song" that was on my must-play list, which was a huge hit with everyone - he knew my audience better than I did.
