We really enjoyed working with DJ Salim and his team! He is a preferred vendor at the Palm Event Center where we got married and everything went well as a result. He was able to bring a dhol player and mobile DJ services for the Bharaat, and made the entire experience really fun and lively. He helps with announcements and MC'ing the event, and we were able to provide him with some suggestions for the vibe and specific songs we wanted to play. The lighting, sound quality, and overall vibe throughout the night was perfect. Our guests definitely commented how many bangers he played on the dance floor, particularly towards the end. He's great for a mix of Indian and American music. His pricing was also very reasonable for all of the services he provides. He also had DJ'd other weddings in our family in the past, so that made it easier to trust him and can definitely vouch for how good he is after multiple events over the course of several years. Thanks, DJ Salim! read more

DJ Salim was flexible and super easy to work with. He did a great job of playing all of the songs we requested at the perfect time and paid really good attention to what the crowd was responding to. Would definitely recommend him to everyone. read more

Salim was great DJ for our wedding! He kept the dance floor packed all night which was one of my biggest requests! Everyone loved the music and the vibes. He was kind and professional and kept the mood up through all the wedding events! We highly recommend him! read more

DJ Salim is extremely professional and very responsive. His pricing is competitive to other leading DJs in the Bay Area. He is very knowledgeable and knows how to read the crowd very well. Ours was a Hindu Punjabi - Tamil wedding with a mixed crowd, but he played all the major hits and got a mixed crowd grooving. This is more for the couple/planner/day of coordinator but if something is important to you, i.e., any songs, volume of a song, transition, break time, nature of the flow, def let him know beforehand. Overcommunication and early planning on both ends weeks before the wedding always helps with a smoother flow. Other than that, he will def deliver. We loved the fact that he got Jordan Birdi as his dholi, who was a hit. Salim also brings his own photobooth, which means fewer vendors to deal with :) The whole package deal makes life so much simpler for busy couples working with so many vendors. Our guests loved his mobile baraat too read more

Did our wedding! Amazing job!! Low stress, perfect song selection, varying styles. Seamless experience

Our DJ did a great job bringing positive energy to our wedding and thoughtfully blending Indian and Chinese music throughout the day. Since we had a multicultural wedding, it was important to us that both sides felt represented, and he balanced everything seamlessly. He was great at reading the flow of the event, keeping transitions smooth, and helping create a fun and welcoming atmosphere for all of our guests. He also did an excellent job with introductions for performances and key moments, which helped the event feel polished and organized without being over the top. He was professional, communicative, and easy to work with throughout the planning process, and we'd definitely recommend him for multicultural weddings and events. read more

DJ Salim was amazing at our wedding last september. He did multiple events, sound and lighting and DJ for the reception. Everything went completely smoothly. He handled all the scheduled songs with no problem. The reception dance floor was mind blowing. We had given him a small playlist to go off of, and he took it and ran with it. He completely nailed the vibe we wanted and the dance floor was one of the best we ever experienced. It was perfect having such a good DJ for our wedding night. Cheers!! read more

DJ Salim had a great audio setup for our speeches and performances, and then brought great energy to the open dance floor with his DJing! We were one of the first weddings to host in a new SF venue with raised ceilings and the potential for echo. DJ Salim came early to test the setup and was able to eliminate all echo! Speeches were heard clearly by everyone! For the dance floor, he did a great job mixing some song requests from us with his existing playlists. He just used the best 1-2 minutes of each song, and kept the energy up for the entire time. The dance floor remained packed for the entire time! I highly recommend DJ Salim! read more

Hi DJ Salim, Thank you so much for your hard work and exceptional services. No doubt that the event would not have been the same without you. DJ Salim and his team absolutely KILLED IT at our long overdue wedding reception. He was part of the COVID wedding cancellation madness in early 2020 that we were going through, but he honored his commitment and was very flexible with us over the years. Ultimately his team was extremely professional, on top of their responsibilities, and did a FANTASTIC job at our reception. I got so many compliments from guests at our reception about how amazing the DJ was. We had an Indian-American fusion wedding and he hit all the right notes to get each of the groups in the party to hit the dance-floor. If you're in the market for a wedding DJ who has a great taste in music, can read the crowd very well, and is very professional, look no further! read more

DJ Salim kept the dance floor full the whole night! He tastefully incorporated guest song requests and also added songs that pleased our family and friends of different ages and backgrounds. Our wedding got significantly more elaborate during the planning process, but he was never phased and readily accommodated when we had to change the ceremony site to somewhere more remote. The day of, he wired up the sound system manually due to technical limitations of the site. Overall, Salim was extremely easy to work with and we'd wholeheartedly recommend him if you're looking for a wedding DJ! read more

DJ Salim was great! We had a huge crowd, and Salim knew how to hype them up and get them ready, he helped make mixes, worked with the large crowd, read the vibe of the dance floor and really worked with us. We had a packed dance floor until the end especially during the last song, which was my goal. He also wrapped our dance floor and did a great job, we really recommend Salim for your wedding. Great to work with and did a great job! read more

DJ Salim was very easy to work with! He incorporated all of the songs we asked for into his playlist and had the dance floor rocking until the end of our wedding reception. So glad we chose DJ Salim for our wedding!! He was so nice to work with and pulled off every event (Sangeet, Baraat, Ceremony, Reception) so beautifully and seamlessly. Definitely recommend getting DJ Salim and MC Amit. They did a great job at our wedding at the SF Design Center last year! He knocked it out of the park every step of the way: - Pre-wedding: Easy to get a hold of and super responsive (let's be real, not every vendor is...) - Baraat: Their mobile cart kept the decibels high and MC Amit got the crowd pumped up - Ceremony: Clear audio for both the nadaswaram (live musicians) and the priest - Reception: The dance floor stayed packed until the lights came on - Music Selection: We had an Indian / Sri Lankan crowd and wanted Tamil music (not some pre-set Bollywood playlist) The Design Center is challenging venue for acoustics (four stories high!) and he was able to wire everything up to make it work. The only knock is that it was tough to hear the speeches on the second floor. MC Amit is a high energy hype man and is the perfect complement to DJ Salim's sound and lighting skills. read more

DJ Salim and his team gave us a legendary dance floor at our Indian wedding reception! Typically at a lot of these events we always feel there's not enough of a mix between typical English and Indian music, but my god, the team absolutely CRUSHED it. We had a lot of people from many different backgrounds and everybody loved that the music cycled regularly from English to Hindi to even Tamil music. There was something for everyone and it made it so much more fun. You definitely cannot go wrong with DJ Salim and his team. read more

Salim was super easy to work with and did a fantastic job with the music for both our wedding events! He made sure everyone on the dance floor was having a great time, added musical touches to various segments of our events, got the Baraat crowd hyped with some colorful smoke bombs, balanced the wide variety of musical tastes of our guests, and was also gracious enough to let my cousin, who's also a DJ, hop on and spin for a few minutes. Overall, we couldn't be more thankful to Salim & his assistant for all their efforts in making the events a success! read more

There aren't enough words to describe how incredible DJ Salim and his team were for our multi-day Indian wedding. At our Sangeet he ensured the sound quality was excellent for our 10+ family performances and kept the energy way up during our open dance floor. The baraat and ceremony went off without a hitch with his thoughtful music selection, and the reception was lit all night long with his incredible medley of Bollywood, Tamil and English pop songs. All our guests commented on how fun the dancing was all weekend long, and that was 100% because of DJ Salim's attention to detail and talents. Couldn't recommend him more highly!! read more

Had an amazing time working with Salim! He was efficient, quick to respond, and so accommodative of any and all requests we had with playing music. We didn't have to give too much direction to him and he was able to get the crowd hyped with great music. Thank you again for making our event such a success! read more

DJ Salim and his team were amazing and a total hit at our August 2022 wedding at Lake Tahoe. We were really excited to find Salim because as a mixed south Indian-white American couple, we really wanted a DJ who knew what the Indian side of our community wanted. When we spoke with Salim while interviewing DJs, we were pleased that he was very professional, knowledgeable about Indian weddings, and had experience playing for all kinds of wedding events. Salim and his team were easy to work with, so friendly, punctual, and helpful with providing details of what they needed from us to make everything go smoothly. They were great MCs and made everything sound excellent. Our friends and family said the dance party at our reception was fantastic, and we were impressed with how Salim and team played a great selection of the kind of music we'd requested (2000s hiphop and R&B, Reggaeton, Tamil music, and Hindi music). They did often quickly jump from song to song, and we wished they'd let songs play through more, but overall that was a minor issue compared to the great job they did! We're very grateful! read more

We absolutely loved having DJ Salim at our Hindu and Western blended wedding! He and his team did an incredible job MCing the event, made sure the songs and sound quality were on point, provided clip-in and handheld mics as needed, and made the atmosphere feel so festive. We are so glad we hired DJ Salim for our wedding! We had an Indian-Western fusion wedding in the morning with a lunch reception after. DJ Salim explained how a baraat works to a mostly non-Indian crowd and got them to bring so much energy for it! Also, we were a little unsure about whether our 1pm dance floor would get much love, but it was actually packed all afternoon long, thanks to DJ Salim! He took the time and effort to understand what we wanted and was great at reading the room. Highly recommend! read more

DJ Salim provided sound, lighting and DJ service for the baraat, ceremony and reception at my wedding in Half Moon Bay, CA in August 2019. I am a very happy customer and he exceeded my expectations. It was seamless to work with him; from booking his services, to coordinating our music selection and day of logistics, he was quite easy and straightforward to work with. We set up calls prior to the day of to curate our playlist for the baraat and the reception, and not only did he play what we requested, he also was able to creatively mix our choices with the latest beats. During the baraat, he and his team did a great job energizing a crowd of nearly 400 - the mobile baraat cart with amplified sound was a hit! If you are planning a South Asian wedding in the Bay Area, you cannot go wrong choosing Salim. read more

We hired DJ Salim for our wedding reception and he held down the party on the dance floor...the WHOLE night! He was very receptive to our list of songs and we appreciated the range of songs he played outside of our list: Hindi songs during buffet service and the gradual transition into hip hop once the dance floor opened up. I would highly recommend DJ Salim to anyone looking to turn up at their next function! read more

DJ Salim and his team were the absolute best to work with for my Indian fusion wedding ceremony and reception! He was incredibly quick to reply, super organized, and followed through on every one of my asks & timeline changes/needs! He came equipped with clip in & handheld mics, super fun lights, and a massive variety of songs that made our (very long!) dance party last until the very last second. I can't recommend him enough - you won't regret hiring him for your event! read more

Look no further if you're looking for a DJ who is easy to work with, creative and knows what the guests want. And it helps when a DJ loves his art. So glad we hired DJ Salim. He is very talented and worked our son's fusion wedding events effortlessly. He has an amazing range of song choices that fit every mood of the evening. We took his advice of adding a mobile baraat and boy, what a difference that made! He and the dhol player engaged with the groomsmen and it just made everything amazing. Glad we chose him. read more

Couldn't have asked for a better Sangeet and Baraat. A magical way to kick off summer, and every single guest was raving about not just the song selection and timing and atmosphere, but how much energy the dhol added to any song! And Salim is a blast to work with - helped us with some song mixing for Sangeet dances, always responded in a timely fashion, and made us feel immediately at ease. Can't wait to work with him again in the future read more

Salim was an awesome DJ for my wedding day. Easy to work with, wonderfully priced and flexible with last minute changes. Anyone who is having a full fledged Indian wedding knows that it's complex and has many intricacies especially when it comes to traditions and family - and especially in relation to music and sound. Salim knew exactly what to play for my South Indian wedding when we mentioned it to him - for the two hour ceremony. He also closely followed my timeline and notes for the entire day. That's the other thing - he worked the entire DAY of my wedding with his team - again at a reasonable price point I couldn't find anywhere else. He also added up lights and DJ lighting that were a beautiful touch to my lunch and dinner receptions. Thanks Salim! read more

DJ Salim is absolutely amazing! From the very beginning he was responsive and very easy to work with! From coordinating songs, logistics, and performances, he made the process easy for us. He provided lighting and music service at our sangeet, baraat, wedding ceremony, and reception. At every event, out guests loved the music and song selections. Everyone had a great time dancing at the baraat, sangeet and reception! I had actually worked with DJ Salim 13 years ago when he was the DJ at my sweet 16 and even then everyone loved the music. He has been in the industry for a long time therefore has been to our venue before and has also worked with our wedding planner & decorator before. I've known Salim for for more than 10 years and have organized many not-for-profit events where he and his team have DJ'd including hosting Jay Sean and other superstars. Salim is professional, extremely good at communication and just on top of his music and technology. Earlier this year, I got engaged and called Salim to help out with my engagement party. He came by our house (where the events was held) ahead of time and made sure he was going to be all set and gauged how much sound he needed to provide. On the evening of the engagement party, he set up 2 hours ahead of time, and played chart topping tunes all night long. All the guests loved his taste and I didn't once have to worry about sound / music for the night. Thank you, Salim! read more
