Took my truck to get a full sound system, I didn't bargain or anything because they seemed knowledgeable and it seemed as if their work was 100% right on. My truck was there for two days when i picked it up and got home I inspected everything out of curiosity and opened my truck up just to find out, what they sold me wasn't even what they installed (they installed cheaper equipment) when i went to confront them the owner tried to be rude and intimidating. 100% dont recommend this scamming money hungry business they'll try to take advantage of anyone who doesn't know about equipment. Even one of the workers there told me the owners son gives them orders to install cheaper things... save your gas and time and money and avoid this place read more

I messaged them asking about an item & they tell me "ok come down" not to mentioned i told them I'm an hour+ drive away & yet they say ok no problem come down & I come here for them to say they don't have an item I message them about & had me come down for nothing. Owner tells me "I didn't know I didn't have it" like as an owner how are you gonna tell someone to come down for the item asked for & not even check if they have it?? honestly worst service ever. i was supposedly getting hooked up ended up even charging me 80 dollars for screws also took there word and bought a new epicenter since they said my epicenter didn't work thats when things started to get sketchy since i knew mine was working perfectly fine before. had to make them show me if my epicenter was working it magically happen to work, didn't even need a new one joseph, son of the OWNER has no type of customer service even wanted to fight me after i confronted him about the issue i wouldn't recommend people to come here worst experience ever joseph will lie to you and talk to you on to buying something you dont even need and if u do come double check there work and make sure they installed what u paid for read more

You will be 100% unhappy if you get your car sound system install here. You will also be unhappy with the defective merchandise. Worst customer service I've ever experienced. Lies after lies. Even the dash kit they sold me for $200 is actually $60 on amazon. That's my fault. Can't blame them for ripping me off. Karma is a mf though. They made it seem like it was being shipped from Italy, straight bullshitters. Seems like they just want to get the job out the way the fastest and send you home. But believe me, you will be coming back again and again to get it fixed. To be totally honest, the swap meet does better work. To prove it just take a look at my 6 by 9s. Just imagine the rest if the work. I ended up paying $260 more to a professional to reverse the damage they did. But found out that my harness hand been cut and I would never be able to put the stick radio back like they told me I would. They completely cut my harness and the wires were just taped together and smashed behind their location.And two days after the installation the amp ended up defective. So take it from my lesson learned and watch yourself there. First off, after the response you gave to my review, shows me a lot about the type of business man you are... a low life who can't take criticism on the reality of the service you provided. Too bad you erased the exact response you gave me, but I understand you had to do that in order to maintain your facade and avoid your true nature as a person being expose in social media. Don't blame you for that. True definition of a weasel. This will be the last time that I write on here because I will no longer dignify your unprofessionalism with any kind of response. I came to DJ Custom Audio to get my stereo wiring and LC7i redone after finding out the hard way, to be careful of who you get to install your equipment, if you know what I mean!! My installer "George" went over all of my equipment and wiring and gave me his recommendations and options for how to proceed. George did a fantastic job. Everything works flawlessly now. First of all the customer service in this place is horrible. I paid for a pac amp pro and instead they installed a LC7 which is cheaper price. When I came home and checked my truck because I was doubting the service I noticed it. Never did he tell me he had installed a different part. So the audio shop I've been frequenting recently closed (Audio Tune off Lakewood Blvd) and I've been looking for a new shop to purchase my audio gear and go to whenever I need help with something. If you know where Audio Tune is or was then you will know Mr Choi closed this shop a couple years back, but I was in no rush to find a stereo shop because of all the hacks out there. I found DJ custom audio roughly 2 months ago and even came in to do a walk-through and talk to the guys. The shop is very clean and they have a very wide variety of audio equipment to choose from. They gave me a quote on a JL Audio subwoofer which was definitely a better deal than anywhere I could find within a 30 mile radius (and I would bet no one out there could beat their prices even if I continued searching). So I decided that I would give them a shot so I came in today two months after they quoted me. The initial salesman I spoke with (Joseph) was not there so I talk to owner Alex and he honored the quote I was given based upon trust and didn't even call Joseph to confirm I was being truthful. This place is legit! They did everything they promised they would do! No hassles and no questions asked. Their finance options are pretty legit for some one on a budget wanting to get started. Walked out with a pioneere dj console and a mackie monitor at a very good price and i mean very good price and i was financed in less the 30 minutes. Would have been shorter but there was an issue with my app but the owner Alex made a call to the company and got things sorted for me. NEVER AGAIN. I came here to buy a 12w7AE which is a JL Audio sub, very high end. I was a little skeptical when I seen they had more dj equipment then car audio and didn't even have a garage to work on your can, they just do it outside under a tent. But they are an authorized JL Audio dealer so I went to them, they installed an isolator which didn't isolate my two separate batteries and they replaced one of my subwoofers. When I came the owner I think his name was Alex was bragging about how much JL audio product his location moved and if I had any issues within the year to just bring the speaker back(a $850 speaker) and he would replace it and send the defective one to jl himself. 8months down the road the speaker stops working and is well within warranty, so I take it back to see if I could get it replace. Of course not he said I have to pay to ship it to JL Audio or he could ship it to them for me if I give him $150. This has got to be a joke. If you check on jl audios website the state that returns should only be made my authorized JL Audio dealers using prepaid freight. But not with this scam artist. So I will NEVER come to them again I am in the process of Contacting JL Audio to see what can be done, there is no way a $850 speaker should stop working within a year. Maybe if you need dj equipment you can go to them but do not trust anything Alex tells you verbally. But as far as car audio installation or buying anything jl, I wouldn't recommend it. DON'T GO TO THIS PLACE!!!! IT'S A SCAM!! I called needing an actuator for a door lock on a 07 Toyota. I spoke to Dave, I explained what I need and provided him with make,model and year of the car.He tells me it'll be $49.99 + tax. I repeatedly ask him if it's only $49.99 plus tax and he says 'yes'. I saw there was a Yelp offer, pay $30 for $50 worth of work so I buy it before getting there (BAD DECISION!). I get there and no one is inside so I wait about 10 mins, finally Dave comes in. I tell him I spoke to him over the phone and tells me 'let me look at your car to see if anything extra is needed' at this point it's sounding like its going to be more than the $49.99 + tax I was quoted. He goes on to tell me that I need this 'wire link' looks like a thin metal wire nothing special, then he tells me it's an ADDITIONAL $20 so now it's $69.99 + tax. I wouldn't of had an issue paying the extra $20 if he would said it in the initial quote. Seems odd that the $20 supposedly 'saved' thru yelp I had to pay extra when I arrived. IF..you choose to go here be ready to have additional charges tacked on. read more

Let me just begin by saying that Dave genuinely cares about his customers unlike many other shops in the area that will just install your product and let you go on your way. I came in with the intent of installing a 2-Way Alarm for my car. I called ahead of time to get a quote on a specific model + Install and Dave definitely gave me a price that beat about 4 other shops i've called before hand by nearly $60. Before installing my alarm, Dave asked me a few questions just to see if he needed to know anything about the car and i simply answered that my power locks weren't working. He said that during the installation, he'd definitely tell me what happened to it or what went wrong. During the alarm installation, i waited in the waiting area equipped with comfortable couches and flat screen with Netflix installed. Planet Motorsports knows how to make the customers feel at home while waiting for their installation to be finished. About an hour and a half later, Dave comes out to tell me that my power relay control was shot and i had to buy a new one, but until then, i had to manually lock the doors and then arm the alarm. he offered to install it completely for free as long as i purchased the relay myself. another hour later, i come back with a new relay and he installs it without hesitation under 10 minutes at no charge and without any problems. Whether you're looking to get a tint, a new stereo, or a security system, planet motorsports is your place. I saw an add on offerup for an Alpine indash priced cheaper than everywhere in LA, I contacted AJ and he was so welcoming, I came down to the shop and picked up the stereo installed with an infinity turbo kit for my G35. Nice friendly family like atmosphere, I was approved on snap and I'll be doing payments " 100 days same as cash wow " , the installation is done perfectly and now I have a 2020 model Alpine apple car play 7" Indash. They also have a giant screen where I was watching soccer while waiting.
