He has declared that we must go back multiple times during this year's trip. We just got in tow and we're going to eat there tonight. The chicken is absolutely amazing! It has such good flavor and wasn't dry at all. The fried plantains and fried rice was also very good but I loved the fried yucca. We got a whole chicken and 2 sides for the two of us and it was way more food than we needed. We were able to have left overs, so it is a great value too!

El Pollon is a pretty good bet for a fast-casual type chicken place…read more The ordering process was you order at the counter and they brought my food as I waited at the counter. There was a bit of a language barrier, but I conveyed my order easy enough. For a fast-casual type restaurant, it had an appropriate ambiance. I went with a quarter chicken and for my two sides, I went with fried yuca and onion rings. The chicken quarter was a bit small, but the sides were generous. Ultimately, I would recommend El Pollon for a fast-casual type restaurant.

We ordered the following takeout flavors buffalo, hot honey and bbq. It was gone before we knew it and we wanted more. Great wings, fried and tender. The buffalo was spicy but not the traditional just tossed in buffalo sauce, there was other spices on it that were great, the bbq was solid a good solid bbq sauced wing, and the hot honey stole the show. Sweet spicy goodness. Everything came with carrots and celery. We also ordered fries. Those were the thinky sliced but fried for a great crunch to softness ratio. Salt and pepper only but overall really good. My only knock to give which I'll still give 5 stars but it was a bit of a pain trying to figure out was the blue cheese and ranch dilemma. We ordered both obviously for a big party and there were smily faces in marker on them. We couldnt tell which was which so we had to spend time opening each trying to figure out whether or not it was ranch or blue cheese.

When you walk in, you walk to the counter and order your food. You are given a number and you can pick a seat. We both ordered the dark meat chicken plate with collard greens and Mac and cheese. The chicken was PIPING HOT! Literally burned my fingers. Surprisingly it was seasoned well and very crispy Greens needed salt but they were good. The Mac and cheese was not good at all. The star of the meal was the biscuit. I wanted another one I had a spiked strawberry lemonade and it was really good! I would definitely eat here again

The Most Disappointing Wings in Destin…read more $22 for 10 tiny, overcooked, baby-sized wings -- no sides, no drink, not even a hint of flavor to justify it. I honestly thought it was a joke when I opened the box. Sadly, it wasn't. We usually get our wings from Merlin's, and they never miss. But a "friend" (who I will not be taking food advice from ever again) convinced us to give Wing Stop in Destin a try. Big mistake. Huge. Between the price, the sad little wings, and the overcooked mess they called dinner, this was one of the most disappointing takeout experiences I've had in years. Save your money and your appetite -- we definitely won't be back.

Now 810, got my food.. will come back in 20 min and finish review from home... ... Ok, I'll make this short and direct, boneless wings flavors were spot on and the cook and temperature was great, the downside these seemed to have more breading and less chicken. Lots of crunch, but ratio is off. Fries, good, kind of crispy but lacking, oil needs to be changed, obvious with all the rushing I saw this isn't the priority. Ordered heavily seasoned, they were not, actually under seasoned. Not bad overall, but had much better Wingstop in the past. The staff here was working hard, but clearly at prime time on a Saturday night they need a manager there on premises. When I walked in a few people told me they had been waiting over an hour. Too much breading, fries didn't taste fresh, doesn't seem to be a staff busting their butt problem.

Can't wait to try their other flavor combos.
