Service: sweet gal took our order over the phone, was patient in helping us decide between 2 pizzas as we were first timers and from out of town. She was also courteous when we arrived. Ambiance: it's roadside dinning. We had our dog with us and it was perfect. They have a row of wooden picnic tables but they felt more like for kids. One of the wooden tables is bigger though. I preferred the iron/metal table which we were able to score. Id say it's very family friendly no frills. Experience: we were very grateful to read all the yelpers review which told us about people who loved the pizza but were so angry about the time it took to be served. Because of that, as we were driving back to the city of Virgin after visiting the horseshoe bend in Paige Arizona, we were able to call in well in advance to place that order. What I put together over the phone was they had time slots mapped out. Upon arriving, I saw a sheet made that helps keep things consistent. It was a sheet with time slots and blank spaces below. The business has an algorithm for how fast they can shell out pizzas and you get what you get for how their flow of customers and size orders for the day. There was hardly a line there but a steady flow people coming to pick up or sit down and eat, so do make sure to CALL AHEAD. Pizzas are MADE TO ORDER, no premade items sitting around. The dough was enjoyable, included leoparding (dough rise marks) and had a slight chew in the bite. It was about 14 inches. We had not ate all day and there was 2 of us. No left overs/to-go. We had the Chicken Bacon Ranch but after arriving/ordering I wished I would have saw the "Hurricane". It's a meatier choice. Apparently the yelpers photos were old and didn't reflect all the current pizzas. I'll include photos of the most up-to-date menu on in this review. I'd definite come back again on my next trip to Zion and The Wave. I'd probably try the hurricane and have one of their specialty lemonades. Looking forward!

The pizza here is ridiculously good. I was in town for the weekend and remembered this place was on a list of one of the best pizza quality in the US. I called in and drove 30 min from St. George. Rolled in first thing as they opened. It's a small wood fired outdoor shack. Both workers were very friendly. I ordered a margarite pizza and siciliano with sausages, and the Nutella pizza. All of them were delicious. My kids loved the Nutella pizza. First off, the quality of the bread, cheese and ingredients is high end. And the price is reasonable. You get so much more for what you pay for. Best pizza easily in Utah and probably the best pizza I've ever had. Worth a long drive for!!

My friends and I called ahead before driving to our cabin for the evening, and it was ready in about 30 mins. The wagon is very cute and the owner was super nice - simple yet effective operation! We got 1/2 Margherita, 1/2 BBQ chicken and it was very yummy/perfect after a long day of exploring the parks!

Always love getting pizza here whenever we are in town to hike in Zion! Their pizza is amazing especially the Margherita pizza with the salt rim! It's so easy to place an order by phone or to just swing by. Their location outdoor with string lights and with a brick oven that gives their pizzas a great Smokey flavor.

This place came highly recommended by a friend, so we went out of our way to pay them a visit. VERY DISAPPOINTED. Ordered a Sicilian and Margarita. The Sicilian only had 5-6 pieces of sausage per slice and there were no salt on the margarita's crust. The crust was not 'airy' like other visitors posted here; kind of chewy. How would I rate this place? Perhaps between Little Caesar and Papa John. For $15 per pizza, completely not worth it. I WILL NEVER go out of my way to visit them again, but if I'm in the neighborhood, I would give them another shot. Best of luck.

THIS PIZZA IS BUSSIINNNNN!!!! I got the margarita pizza with pepperoni ($12) and it was soooo good!! They stop taking orders at 8 PM but they continue making the pizza, I got mine at 9:15. Make sure to order ahead they get really busy. 10/10

Great service, the pizza was ready on time, and it was delish!! And awesome prices! We got 1/2 Chicken bacon ranch and 1/2 Sicilian add pepperoni. The CBR was wayyy better (I was nervous about the bbq sauce on it, but it makes it!) 10/10 for sure. The Sicilian was good, but nothing "special" compared to the CBR. $13 total. Can't beat it!

We called in an order ahead of time. Very nice and kind folks running this small oThey gave us a pick up time and they were ON TIME! So we left with two fresh, hot pizzas (14"). Both were very tasty and satisfying! Plus, they are very inexpensive. If you're tired of dropping big bucks on meals while traveling, you should check out the Pizza Wagon!

This is a top notch establishment. Their customer service is unbeatable and the pizza is mouth watering delicious. We got pizza two nights in a row the two nights we were in hurricane, that's how insanely good it was. Call ahead to reserve your pizza time cause it's popular and the slots fill up fast. The pizza was ready right when they said it would be and they brought it right to our car. The crust is the perfect amount of chew and crisp to it and their menu is creative and delicious. Do your tastebuds a favor and eat this pizza! Be careful when putting the place in Apple Maps cause it is farther down the street than the address says and is closer to the wagon museum, past the Sinclair gas station.

Unassuming small brown pizza food truck serves up world-class pizzas. The crust is cooked to perfection, and would make Kenji of serious eats proud. While everything is pretty amazing (basil picked before your eyes), my favorite aspect of their take on wood-fired pizza is moderation. There is a nice char on the crust that isn't overbearing, the pizza is thin and crispy, but not overdone. It's a hard balance to achieve, but they knocked it out of the park! read more

Almost 3 million people from around the world come to Southern Utah to visit Zion National Park - a national treasure of the United States since 1919. For rock climbers, Zion National Park is second to none. Touchstone, Moonlight Buttress, Spaceshot, and Prodigal Son are the most popular climbs inside Zion. For campers, camping in Zion is the highlight of any camping trip, and Zion has been rated the best place to camp in the mountain states for many years. Another good reason to visit Zion National Park is you can go through the town of Hurricane on your way and stop by the Pizza Wagon - a local treasure by all means. Equally you can stop in again on your way out too. As any pizza connoisseur knows, there's pizza (national chain garbage), then there's pizza (the good stuff worthy to be called pizza). Just as champagne can only be from the Champagne region of France and all other wannabe's must call their version of champagne "sparkling wine", the terms of appellation should apply to pizza as well. To emphasize this, owner Todd Hailstone spent time in Italy studying "pizzaology". Todd told me that in Italy each region has laws regarding pizza dough recipes, and that in order to be legally called pizza, the dough must conform to a set of ingredients as well as the amounts of those ingredients that must be in the dough. Todd's pizza dough recipe is a product of his studies and would most likely qualify for VPN or Verace Pizza Napoletana ("true Neapolitan pizza") status. I wish pizza here in the US were regulated the same way. At the Pizza Wagon, you can order your favorite pizza or you can choose one of the specialty pizzas from their chalk-drawn menu. One of their pizzas you won't find anywhere else is the Italian Cowboy - red sauce, sweet barbeque bacon, red onion, black pepper, and mozzarella cheese. All their pizzas come out of the 900 degree wood-fired oven bubbling with excitement. I mean literally bubbling. There's something about a smoky and hot pizza done the old fashioned way that just excites the senses. Except for Chicago-style pizzas, all the best pizzas are done this way. Luckily for the city of Hurricane and the passersby, we can enjoy this addictive street vendor's authentic pizzas and not break the bank. By definition, the Pizza Wagon is a form of Zion: The ideal pizza envisaged by Pizzadom and its followers. read more

What an incredible find! What I really liked about their pizza was that they offered half and half. I had half Greek and half Margarita. The Greek was unique in that it was covered in fresh cucumbers instead of mozzarella cheese. I loved the freshness of it. The other half featured real block mozzarella cheese and was delicious. Amazing prices here too. I appreciate that they used ecofriendly plates and napkins too. Thank you! Will definitely get pizza here again next time I travel through. read more

Our group of friends rented a house in La Verkin and stopped at Pizza Wagon to pick up dinner to go. We ordered 3 cheese, Margherita, Italian cowboy, Sicilian, Hawaiian luau, and pepperoni. Their pizzas are WOW. They are delicious, tasty, with fresh ingredients, and wood fired...what more does anyone need. We were not able to finish everything so we packed it up for lunch on our hike to the narrows and it was still super yummy then. If you are on your way to or from Zion you must stop at this place and enjoy their great pizzas. read more

After reading the reading reviews and hearing about this place from friends, we decided to check it out. I called and ordered a 3 cheese pizza and a hawaiian luau pizza. My husband was able to stop and get them on his way home. It was only $15 for the two pizzas. They were both really good. The crust was cooked just the way I like it! I would much rather get pizza from here than anywhere else in the Hurricane area! read more

Being from nyc we all think were pizza experts. I'm no different. I've tried many different kinds from many different places. Pizza wagon deserves 5 stars. There's not much in terms of food in hurricane UT. This place would make a killing if it were set up on the streets of manhattan. Crust is crunchy and airy. Sauce is good. Toppings and choices are simple but good. The price is amazing and the taste is almost as good. I had the Greek and the luau. Both were very good. All this coming from a street vendor. Well done pizza wagon. This has got to be the best pizza in town. read more

Amazing, fresh, wood fire pizza! Only open thur - sun noon to 8, but with za this good and so reasonably priced you can't complain. When we stopped is was a dad and his two kids and the kids were putting the pizza together for the dad to cook. I could eat here every day. read more

Amazing pizza, incredible value. Not only is it the best pizza around, the prices are very reasonable and the wagon-folk are super friendly. ### PRO TIP: CALL AHEAD ### 435 327 2503 They do a *lot* of phone order business - the wait time when busy can be an hour or more. That said, it's possible to drive up during slow times and be eating in just a few minutes. Super YUM! read more

We stopped on our way back from Zion after reading the other reviews. They're all accurate - pizza was very tasty and very reasonably priced. The oven is just like one in Italy and gets up to 750 to 1000 degrees and powered by real wood. Family owned business and they're super nice. We'll be back for more next time we're through here. read more

We were camping nearby and decided to yelp for an inexpensive place to eat nearby. How lucky to have found this place. 16" pizzas for less than $10, ready in 10 minutes and wonderfully delicious! We enjoyed sitting at the picnic table out front and eating our fresh, hot pizas. The wood - fired crust is absolutely fantastic. If I lived in this area, this would be the ONLY pizza place I would order from. read more

So glad that we noticed this place on Yelp because the pizza was really dreamy. Honestly, gonna miss this pizza when we head home because it was really really fantastic and made by people who seem to really love their jobs. Pay close attention to their hours, and it might be helpful to call ahead or put in your order early because they put time and love into it which may take a bit. Also note, that this is located outdoors in a parking lot- which is actually really nice if you go near sunset hour (so pretty). Definitely try to eat some of this pizza if you can :) you won't regret it. read more

This place is off the side of the road, we stopped by on the way to Zion National Park. The pizza here is fantastic, and well worth the wait. The quality of the pizza here is comparable to well known brick oven restaurants, such as Grimaldi's and Patsy's (for those who live on the east coast). The prices are very reasonable (much less then the aforementioned chains!), and if you come during lunch you'll get a dollar off. Since it was relatively windy when we stopped by, we chose to eat in our car; however there is a bench and table if you wish to eat outside. The employees of the restaurant were very friendly to us as well. I'm glad to see a small business with a unique concept (road-side brick oven pizza) succeeding. read more

As for the food, everything was exceptional. I really enjoyed the cheesy Riggatti bread. The creamy marinara sauce it was paired with was delicious and unlike anything I have ever tasted. I liked the chicken bacon ranch pizza as well. Wood-fired pizza has such a unique taste and I really enjoyed Riggatti's take on it!

i saw the yelp feedback and decided to go to this place for pizza and discovered that this business is a roadside food stand located in a parking lot.... it was cold outside but we ordered three pies. while waiting and watching the pizzas being made from scratch, I spoke to the man operating the oven. he told me about the secrets to great pizzas and had some wise words about family and life in southern utah. we grabbed the pizzas and walked back across the road to our hotel. when i took my first bite i was amazed at the incredible fresh flavor, crispy and slightly chewy crust and the perfect ratio of sauce to ingredients to crust. if you find yourself in hurricane, you owe it to yourself to try dixie pizza. read more

Wood fire pizza oven this will get you four star by itself. They put the pizza over the firewood at the end to get the wood chip flavor around the edge. The amount of toppings are fair. I had the Hawaiian Pizza, my favorite. This is simply a one cart operation. Do they have a health permit? At $8 with tax $9, this is fair. I like this place. It is simply not love. read more
