Scheduled for an 11AM start and at 11:01 got a phone call that they had parked the truck and were coming up to our apartment. The guys worked very hard and didn't damage anything on the move. Anna only quotes minimums so make sure you know how much work you have to be done.  My problem was underestimating the work load.  Anna originally wanted to send 4 men and I mistakenly decided to save $20 an hour and hire 3 guys.  It probably added two hours to the total day. The movers came on time and worked harder than I could have ever imagined. Our elevator died during the move and the two young movers never complained, but worked their butts off! The condo in Fort Lauderdale where we were moving didn't allow moving trucks to drive close, they make the moving trucks park in the street. The two movers had to carry everything about 300 feet from street to elevator in super windy conditions. Never once did they complain about the distance, heat, or wind. They were professional, hard working, and absolutely amazing. I am now looking for a long distance mover and I'm scared (Dixie Movers are local, don't do interstate moves). So many negative reviews on other moving companies. Dixie Movers was such an amazing experience that I am spoiled! I think this company is outstanding! My experience with Dixie Movers was really superb. From scheduling to confirmation, to the day of the move, every single thing went smoothly. Anne, was a big help with the scheduling and communication prior to the move. On the day of the move, I got a call to let me know they were on their way, and another when they arrived. It was not an easy move for them as we were moving from the 9th floor in a condo building, with a terrorizing HOA office manager, and one freight elevator. In addition, the parking lot and upper deck were under construction, so there were trucks, equipment and workers everywhere. Dennis was managing the crew, he and the other three men were just amazing. All that construction didn't deter Dennis and his crew, they worked cheerfully and efficiently throughout. Dennis was so patient and helpful when we trying to make decisions. His attention to detail is the best. He really made us feel comfortable and confident in their expertise. We were moving out of one condo into another on the same day, and they didn't even want to break for lunch, they just powered through. I cannot say enough great things about Dixie Movers. They are simply the finest! They took such great care with our furniture and belongings. I recently used Dixie Movers to move from Pompano Beach to Coral Springs, and I have to say that I was thoroughly impressed with the service I received. Great moving experience! Messaged them Saturday morning on Yelp messenger. They were super quick to respond and were available same day! Quoted price was fair, we went over on time due to my mis-calculations for how much stuff we had They stuck to the quote with the adjustment of time to the 15 minutes (ended at 5:45 and didn't round up to 6) Price was exactly as stated per hourly charge. We had mostly furniture, boxes and some loose assorted items, they were very careful to pack everything with intent to take care of our belongings. Moved us out of my in-laws (1-story) into our newly purchased home (2-story). There wasn't anything they weren't ready to tackle moving. We also had them unload the bulk/heavy stuff from our POD. As we continued to say "Oh yeah, and that too" they never missed a beat and with a smile always said "No problem!" Again, they took care of our belongings nicely. I'm in the hospitality business, these guys were exceptional in that regard, team was led by Vladimir with two other gentlemen (unfortunately I didn't get their names but they were awesome too!). When driving the truck from point A to B they were extremely careful while driving and took extra caution while driving. We even had them move an older antique American made 3-piece wall unit (super heavy) and they took care of it nicely. They were ready to setup our bed that was stored in the POD with their own tools and executed assembly like pros! I would give them 6 stars if Yelp would let me. I had a logistically complicated move (pick up and pack my elderly mother's stuff, then store it for several months, then deliver part of the load to one location, pick up other items, and deliver the rest of the load and those items to another location) and Dixie was not only with me every step of the way, they even suggested ways to make this easier and to save me money. They were willing to guarantee their quote (no surprise add on fees). On the pick up day, my mother realized after the movers left that they had missed packing the stuff in a kitchen cabinet and called me. I was able to reach someone at Dixie, even though it was a Saturday, and they called the driver, who turned the truck around and went back to get the missed items. Everything was well padded and wrapped. None of the furniture was damaged (we haven't yet unpacked the boxes yet, but they are all in good condition, so the contents should be fine). All the furniture was reassembled and pieces placed exactly where we wanted them; they even re-arranged for us. I was told the movers would arrive at 10 AM. At 9:45 AM, Anna called to tell me they would be there at 10:15 AM. At 10:14 AM, the truck pulled up. It was a scorcher of a day (100 F), but they worked hard without complaining, took care to close the door whenever they went in and out, and even wiped their feet. Don't hesitate to use Dixie Movers. Dixie Movers moved us from South Florida to Tennessee. Scheduling was a breeze and they delivered all the packing materials we needed including for fragile items. We packed as much as we could before moving day. They were on time and professional. They were like a breath of fresh air compared to our prior experience with "The Good Greek," who had one truck and lost items and overcharged. Dixie had two large trucks to pack us and they packed quickly and consistently. They actually taped the packet of screws and bolts to the furniture so they didn't get lost (none of that putting it in your pocket stuff.) Upon moving things from the master, they accidentally snagged the floor, but the company paid for the repair promptly when I reported it. (Practically unheard of to get quality service like that.) When they were unloading in our new home, Mike brought in my plant. We were astonished. My plant made it hundreds of miles! I didn't see any smokers or smoke breaks and they moved our things in from like 10am to 7pm. We couldn't believe it! By the way, our community was on a hill with our home driveway on a hill. If we ever move again, I certainly hope I can hire them again because it is hard to find a great moving company. Plus, their pricing is exceptional. Dixie Movers are the best!!! P.S. Dixie Movers had stellar reviews and still exceeded my expectations. Stanley and Ivan were the movers and did an amazing job. I'll tell you more about them in a moment. First, the communication with the office and Brana. She sent a clear email outlining what the charges would be. It was fair and transparent and I agreed. The day of the move Stanley and Ivan arrived and they were pleasant, fast, strong, effective, kind, patient, responsive, friendly, respectful, and thorough. They were careful with my belongings, didn't dally at all, didn't try to upsell me, had the wardrobe boxes I asked for and just honestly did the job extremely well and efficiently. They just worked fast and well. They got to the destination promptly and I can't even begin to tell you how well they did with unloading and doing a highly specialized unpack/storage request. Just good, nice, hard-working guys. When it came time for payment, I did my math based on Brana's quote and when they gave the bill, our numbers matched. Dixie movers provided us with excellent service! From the moment they arrived they made it clear they were clear minded, smart, energetic, professional, and ready to work. They had all the tools that were necessary to accomplish the job. Their truck was large enough to accommodate all the furniture from a two bedroom apartment with space left over. Everything was done as we agreed and nothing needed to be clarified or repeated. Within four hours they moved us into a unit in an adjacent building. These movers demonstrated their experience when they moved most of the furniture without disassembling it. We were happy and impressed by this, as this expedited the project. When it was necessary to disassemble, they paid attention to small but important details (screws from the bed frame, etc) even though there was a large amount of work to be done. Everything was packed and moved carefully and there was no damage at all either to the apartment or furniture. In sum, they worked in the way that work should be done: carefully and quickly. We chose Dixie Movers because they were the highest and most rated south florida moving company on Google and Yelp. From the start, as soon as we contacted them at the begining of their working day at 8am, we received an email back from their manager Brana within minutes. She was very polite and available for conversation any time we called. At times she wasn't available, she called back right away. We received a quote that was very well priced within a day and were very happy with the pricing. We contacted several other movers and nobody was able to beat their quote, even when asked. We therefore went with Dixie movers for our move and very glad we did. At day of arrival, the movers were on time as promised at exactly 8am sharp (even though they had a 50min drive to us) and well within their 30min window (unlike others which have 1-3 hour window of arrival). My experience with Denis and his team was simply amazing! We were moving from a 3-bedroom apartment in Aventura to a 5-bedroom house in Coral Gables. The 3-person crew arrived at my apartment at 8:00 AM and started packing everything right away. Trust me: everything! Around 12:00 PM, 2 more people arrived and they started loading the 2 trucks that were waiting by the garage. At 4:30 PM the trucks were leaving. They then stopped for a quick lunch and, at 6:30 PM, they arrived in our new home. At that time, 4 guys started unloading everything, putting in the right room and unpacking all the furniture. They organized everything very neatly. Boxes with personal objects were left in each room too. Always with friendly faces and kind words. At 9:00 PM they were finished! Nothing damaged, nothing lost, everything in place. And all of that for a very attractive price. I have moved many times in my life and it's never a pleasant experience. This time I have to say the experience was great. Starting with Brana the booking manager who was great at communicating with me before the move started. She made sure that my building had the proper insurance documents and was very responsive whenever I had a question. She did a great job communicating the entire time. The movers Inga and Kiriaa also did a great job. We had some challenges with the building elevator and they managed to get the job done fairly quickly. They took great care in protecting my furniture. They wrapped all my furniture and was very quick too. One of my pieces did not fit in the elevator of the new building and they carried it up three flights of stairs. I am very grateful to them for all the hard work that they did. I do not plan to move again for a long time but I will highly recommend this company to anyone I know that is moving. read more

Alex is a real hero!! He doesn't let you touch anything or lift a finger, always take initiative and go above and beyond. He's so meticulous and detail oriented. He also gave me multiple discounts, saved me money on the tv mounting (he bought me a similar but cheaper one than the expensive one I bought from best buy and helped me return it) and refused to charge me for some extra work (I hired him multiple times to help with the installation and assembling of my furniture). I was so worried since i have a lot of mirrors and crystals. They all came with no scratch. It's very hard to find a moving company with such conscience. My previous experiences were mostly with lazy workers with no common sense that you have to tell them everything that is already obvious and guide them around, that's why I was so impressed with Alex as I know that I can relax and be sure that he would do the right thing without me mention it. read more

From my initial request for a quote to the final trash removal, the team was professional, responsive, and efficient. Anna let me know the crew was running behind and would be 15" late. Denis and Rohit wasted no time on arrival and had carefully packed up my son's furniture (from upstairs) for his studio apartment in 1 hour and 25 minutes. On arrival at the apartment complex where we had a freight elevator reserved, there were two other trucks at the loading dock. Denis took care of having them move their trucks so we could unload. The apartment could not have been further away from the elevator but they never complained or stopped working. The entire move took 4 hours and 25 minutes including the 45 mile drive. We just used Dixie Movers and moved with the most AMAZING crew - Inga, Denis, Rohit and Prashanth. Booking was super easy and quick (no phone calls, no answering tons of questions), the team arrived promptly, and this was by far the easiest and most efficient move we have ever had.
