On our second visit I was not as impressed as I was on our first visit. After reading my review…read morefrom about a year ago I ordered the pork papusa and did not really care for it this time around. It was soggy and pretty bland. And the same with the chicken quesadilla. It just had chicken it it, if there was cheese or veggies I could not taste or see them, again kind of bland. My son-in-law did enjoy his chicken enchiladas and it was a huge serving. The chips, salsa and beans with cheese they brought to the table, complimentary were good. Service was just OK. It took about 30 minutes to get our food once we ordered, we had to ask for more water a couple of times. The restaurant is a clean, bright and has a welcoming atmosphere with outdoor and indoor seating. Plenty of parking. Best part of my experience was the virgin Pina colada I had to go. It was served with whipped cream and cherries in a little bucket. It was pretty tasty.

This is a great addition to the Colonial Gardens family. We started with the chips and salsa,…read more which also comes with a warm bean dip. Amazing. The salsa is fresh and flavorful and the beans were delicious with fresh cheese on top. We had two rounds and were full before the food came! We ordered margaritas next, one jalapeno and one skinny. They are made with reposado, giving them a smoky, deep flavor. Delicious, spicy, sweet. We ordered the seafood tower to share, wanting to try something new. The seafood was fresh and well-prepared. Obviously we were so full of chips we couldn't finish it, but the leftovers will be enjoyed I'm sure. I wish we'd saved room for dessert, as those options looked phenomenal. Next time! Great service, great value. We will be back!

We were able to sit, visit, order and eat, have birhday cake (which we brought), open presents and not feel rushed or pressured tp leave the establishment. There are 4 resturants, a cheesecake vendor and a full bar insde the open air building all sharing the same dining space. My husband and I went back this afternoon for an early dinner . Over the two days we shared, nachos (loaded with bacon, chicken, cheese, and chives) a hamburger and fries, korean bbq and hibachi chicken. All were extremely tasty, with the exception of the Korean bbq, which was just OK. We went back for the hibachi chicken it was good good. You prder at onw of the 4 counters ,pay and are given a number to pur on your table. They then bring the food to your table. The chef from the hibachi vendor came to check on us adter we were eating to see of we were satisfied. That was kind. Both days they were out of egg rolls. Street parking and a lot off of third street behind the building

I haven't tried every restaurant in the Louisville StrEATery, but I have been generally unimpressed…read moreevery time I've stepped inside. It feels like someone tried to make a ghost kitchen into a tourist attraction. Not a good combo. To steal from another review: who is this for? One positive though: I love that they provide sanitary wipes at each table to wipe it down yourself. Some could argue that should be the server's job- and it definitely should be, but it's nice to be able to do it to my standards.

SHAME ON YOU! A…read moreblind man was told to leave his guide dog outside. Twelve years ago, my dear friend began breeding Goldendoodles: to produce dogs capable of changing lives and they did (Many Many Lives) One of those puppies is Ozzy. Ozzy isn't "just a dog." He is a highly trained guide dog by Custom Canines Service Dog Academy who gives his person, Kevin Kraly, the independence that many of us take for granted every single day. He is Kevin's eyes. His partner. His freedom. Recently, Kevin and Ozzy attempted to enter THIS restaurant together. Instead of being welcomed, they were turned away. They were asked for identification for Ozzy. They were told they could only dine outside only there was no outside dining . They were even told Kevin could come inside if he tied Ozzy up outside and left him there. Imagine being told to leave your eyes at the door. Let.that.sink.in. A blind man was told to leave his guide dog outside. Even after the law regarding service animals was shown and explained, entry was still denied. This isn't simply poor customer service. This is a reminder that many people with disabilities still face barriers that should not exist in 2026. The Americans with Disabilities Act protects the right of service dog teams to access businesses open to the public. These protections exist because guide dogs are not pets--they are essential medical assistance animals that allow their handlers to navigate the world safely and independently. No one should have to fight for basic access because they are blind. No one should have to defend the legitimacy of their guide dog. And no one should ever be told to leave their eyes outside.
