I was sick once in here from a greasy fish and chips (a one off, to be fair) which wasn't dealt with very well by the management which ended my weekly visit to the place, a weekly visit which lasted some years. In recent years, the prices have also escalated way beyond that of other chip shops. It's around £5.30 for a fish supper, and although it is absolutely immense, the portions don't justify the price. Hilarious to note, that when you get chips to take away (which cost around £1.40 or £1.50 or something ridiculous) they actually spray on the vinegar which can only be designed to save pennies on vinegar every day. I don't know. I like the place, it's great, with good ice cream as well I should note, but I can't help but feel that the management are greedy. There used to be 3 or 4 Onesti's in Motherwell, now there are only 2, with this one being the most popular due largely to its location. Thoroughly great food, no arguments, but.. *sigh* I've said enough. They also do home deliveries which get to you in above average condition.

Nice takeaway and quite reputably know in Motherwell for just this. All the school kids walk up on…read morethe weekdays from Dalzell High School and get the usually sausage or fritter foll. I know about the fritter roll and I say yes please, with brown sauce and a nice crispy morning roll, not a bun. Never a bun. I wouldn't go here to many days a week or you may see your waist grow and grow. Onestis are a good quality Italian run chip shop that the town like.

The Lemon & Herb Baked Fish was so flavorful and juicy. I tried a Deep Fried Mars Bar for the first time and loved it (I don't know what it reminds me of, but it's crispy on the outside, gooey on the inside, and hot enough to burn the top of your mouth). The star was definitely the Breaded Haddock. I've had fish and chips around the UK for much cheaper, but at a slightly higher price point you get a perfectly crispy piece of fish with double-fried chips. It's really more about the experience of being in a posh fish shop. It's packed with tourists, so you'll be handed a map of the city at the end -- which I found to be pretty funny given I was living in Edinburgh at the time and came with another local. But it's charming and certainly worth a visit.

i could rave about this place for hours. stumbled into here with my friends on our week long trip…read more we were jet lagged and tired from a day of walking. this first thing was that they are three floors tall and include an elevator for accessibility. the second was that they had fully closed bathroom stalls, each equipped with a sink and were very clean. they also had an accessible AND gender neutral toilet. the overall vibe of the place was fun and they had a lot of space with many tables. for the food, they had a key with all possible allergens, and showed which foods included them or not. the first thing we were asked was if there were any allergies in the party. as someone with many allergies, this was amazing. the wait staff was wonderful and very friendly. the food came quick and was so delicious. we had a few drinks, i got the cider, and they were all so good. we have since then gone again during our week in edinburgh and i am so glad we did.

Adios is housed in the infamously awfully designed St James Retail Park at Hairmyres, East Kilbride…read more(it's painted bright yellow and looks like it belongs in New Mexico given the styling). However don't let that put you off. They do some decently priced lunchtime deals which include a can of Barr's fizzy pop (there are several varieties to choose from) and all of their main meals are reasonably priced too, although certainly not cheap. The food itself is really good, most of the stuff including the fish is cooked fresh to order, so it's not the best place to visit if you really are in a hurry - but the freshly cooked food does mean that the fish is really lovely and the chips are nice and not too greasy either. It's definitely the best chippy I've visited in East Kilbride so far. Yes they do charge for heinz sauce pockets and it is expensive, but you can get the standard chippy red sauce for free! and the brown sauce too!

This was on a Tuesday so it was the BOGOF offer. I also ordered a child's fish nugget meal with black currant fruit shoot. This should have came to £11.94 altogether. On picking up the order my husband told me it came to £13.45. I then opened the order and thought my daughters fish nuggets were more like fish cakes as there was no fish inside, inside it what looked like mashed potato in breadcrumbs. They were tasteless and disgusting. The chips were also very greasy leaving the whole meal inedible. We also received an orange fruit shoot instead of black currant (this isn't a big deal but specifically asked for black currant) The tacos were ok however very small portions for the price paid. I really don't like putting on bad reviews as I know how it can affect small businesses so I chose to call them to let them know. I spoke to a female member of staff and asked about the price. She stated that my fish taco was actually £8 and not £6.95 even though it said £6.95 on their own website menu. She apologised for this but didn't not offer a refund at any point as this was their mistake, she just said i5 was getting changed soon (that doesn't help me) so I then mentioned the fish nuggets and how they had no taste of fish at all and were absolutely horrible and my child wouldn't eat them and how the chips were very greasy. This member of staff then to me "IF YOU DONT LIKE IT THEN DONT COME BACK" and "I BET YOU ARE ON OUR LIST OF PEOPLE WHO COMPLAIN ABOUT EVERYTHING" and "YOURE JUST COMPLAINING ABOUT ONE THING AFTER ANOTHER" I couldn't believe what I was hearing as I had been nothing but polite to her. I then asked if she was the manager and she said no. I was even more gobsmacked that a manager would allow their staff to speak to customers in that way. Needless to say I will never be back and I will make it my business to spread the word about this disgusting place! They couldn't even get our name correct on the order
