I sent Nathan a couple of ideas I had about the carrier I served on and the jets I worked on.... What Nathan presented to me was far past my expectations. This man is a true artist. Have gone to two different artist here. First one was ok a little bit darker in colors, but then he left. Started working with new artist and started a new deposit. This artist was a little light so had to go back for a couple sessions that rolled my deposit with each visit. My last appointment i get the email from Divinity on Friday confirm my Monday apt, I show up Monday to find they didn't even have me on a schedule even though i showed them the email. They tried to contact the artist to no avail. I was able to get a hold of him a few days later and he told me something happened between the shop and him so now the artist doesn't work there and I am out my deposit since they say that goes to the artist not the shop. I tried calling the shop and setting up with a new artist but again was told would have to start all over with a deposit. Really look at your options before going here, once you do double check. read more

I've gone here a couple of times. Both artists were good at what they do. My one item to recommend to anyone going in, be inordinately specific with your request and check on on the progress of the tat to make sure you are getting exactly what you want. I'd like to share my experience with this tattoo shop. It started out in July, I emailed and requested an appointment with Dub. A few days later I got a call back and set up a consultation. I went in, we met and went over my plan. I wanted an entire back piece done. He told me it would take at least 10 sessions to get the whole thing finished and we went over the details. Towards the end, he told me he charges $175 an hour. I thought it was a bit steep, but then again, I really wanted the best and expected the best. So, I agreed to the price and then went to the person up front to schedule appointments. I was then told I couldn't get a session until November. So, 5 months from now. Again, I probably should have just went to someone else at that point, but I figured if he's really that good, maybe he's worth the wait. I agreed, paid $100 deposit and we scheduled appts every 2 weeks starting November and ending in April. Well, after 5 months of waiting, I finally came in for my first session. We agreed before that we would do 2 hour sessions. But, as soon as I showed up, before he started, he asked me how much money I had on me. I don't think it's okay to ask people that, but I told him that I had taken out $500 earlier that day. He said "good, that will last us like 3 hours". I probably should have said that I wasn't prepared to spend that much, but I felt uncomfortable and figured for the first session, it should be fine. I had to call my boyfriend to bring an extra $60 so I could tip him. I am a really good tipper and I think it's important. So, I paid him $560 total and waited another 2 weeks. Same thing happened the next time. And I paid him another $500. Well, I didn't expect to be spending that much and it was now December. So, holidays were coming. I figured, I'd skip the third appointment, since we were ahead of schedule and I called 24 hours in advance to let them know. Of course, Dub never gave me a number or way to contact him, except through email, so I talked to the front girl instead. I was told it was fine and that she'd just let him know. But wait! Apparently, he had a problem with it. I got a call back 2 hours later saying that it was NOT fine, and that the $100 deposit will now be theirs and that it will not be used to finish my tattoo and I now would have to make ANOTHER $100 deposit before I could come back to my next appointment. I was really shocked they'd do that after I've litterally spent over $1000 on my tattoo already in just 2 sessions. I should have just told her no, but I said I would pay that with my next pay check, but I had absolutely no money at the moment, which is obviously why I had to cancel my appointment in the first place. But! That I would pay it before my next session, they'd just have to wait a week. Well, apparently that was not okay either. She told me I would have to pay it that moment, or I would lose all of my appointments and would have to wait to see if he had availability later. I was in shock. This was after I had to wait 5 months in the first place AND after spending so much money. I told her I would scrape up some money and just do a 1 hour session with him then. She said it was too late and that the paperwork has already been filed. What the ****?? What is this the FBI? A lawyer?? Where is she filing this paperwork? Is she sending it off to the cops? It makes no sense to me. I emailed my artist and told him that I thought that it was ridiculous and I was not interested in continuing our sessions. He never even bothered to reply. I think that the way they do business is ridiculous and that Dub should not be so greedy and care more about his customers then the $100 deposit. He would have gotten thousands of dollars more from me, instead, I'll give that to a tattoo artist that actually cares. read more

I gave him a very basic idea of what I wanted, and he came up with something better than I could have thought. I had my first tattoo done here 2 years ago. I was getting a tribute to my mom who was losing the battle with breast cancer. I scheduled my appointment with my artist and left my deposit. The day of my appointment I brought my mom, who was very sick at the time. They then told us that she wasn't allowed to come back with me during my session due to shop policy!! (News to me!!!) Not only was it an ordeal getting her there in the first place, but the whole point, which I clearly discussed with my artist, was to have her there with me to share something very special to her and I. My husband ended up having to drive her back home. I was very disappointed and felt trapped having already left my deposit. Now, 2 years later, my tattoo (that never sees the sun) has lost so much color that my new artist has to go over it again. read more

well...you remember tribal tattoos? yup, me too. because i have one on my deltoid and although it was so cool back then, not so much now. my wife had some cover up work done, which turned into a sleeve, which...looks...amazing! so good that she entered in a local tattoo convention. her artist was Nathan, so i too chose Nathan. and he did not disappoint. it starts with a 100 artist fee....he draws it up, see's if you like it, and that benjamin is put towards your tattoo if you decide to go forward. his work station is very clean and he uses tons of sterile procedures to keep you free from infection (the most important aspect in my opinion of any tattoo!). he does have a heavy hand, but the color is saturated! my tattoo looks amazing and you cannot even make out the old tribal i had on there. Nathan takes only cash and he books up fast because he is very good. what i really like is how professional the whole studio is. they have a separate front desk with a "secretary" to make appt's and answer the phone. i also like how they don't allow friends or family in the tattoo area, to keep it clear and avoid potential contamination. and....if you get there too early....it's right next to carolina's mexican food so you can get some good grub before you get inked! a great experience, and touch ups are free up to a year. you know you want it...just do it! read more

I just went in to this tattoo shop because I read that they got good reviews on yelp. Well, it was a big disappointment . The girl I spoke to, platinum blonde short hair was very rude. She made it so difficult for me to get and see anyone. I don't know if because I'm Asian and I'm not good enough to be in there and get a service from them. I feel like I'm being judge and got treated by my skin color and my face. This is very bad business on their part and I will not recommend anyone to go there. How can she treat you any different if she's being racist and judge up upon on how you look??? I don't think this place even deserve a star because of their horrible customer service. Oh btw, her name is Heather and when I called back to ask for her name AND she hung up after I ask if I was talking to her. I've tried two call back several more times and the phone was just ringing. This place is like walking into an art gallery! It is clean and the decor is hip but very welcoming. Even the display for the body jewels was professional and cool. The staff! Let me tell you how frustrating it is to walk into a tattoo shop and be greeted by the quintessential punk asshole...hate it. Not to mention the occasional rock-star mentality of some of these people....Not Here!! They are soooooo nice and sooooo talented, truly ARTISTS!!! So this was my first tattoo, super excited and I went in for a consultation and it was all good, I get there for my appointment a few days later and the drawing was pretty big. My artist downsized it so that it fit how I wanted it to and he did so with no complaints. The tattoo was good and the experience was decent. But holy crap the price. This Divinity tattoo has taken 2 years and 3 artists and still isn't done. I choose Nicole to do a tattoo in memory of my son. She did one flower on my arm. When I called to schedule my second appt to add on to it I was told she was moving away. They suggested Adam. He didnt do as well as Nicole with his flowers and I wanted to have it fixed. They said to call after it heals and he could fix it. After it healed I called to make an appt to have him fix it and was told he moved away! They then suggested Austin. She did a great job fixing it. After that healed I called to make another appt with Austin to add on the last part of this special tattoo because I wanted consistency in the work. I was told her books were closed and I could be on a wait list. Well....months later I got an email saying her books were back open and to send an email telling her what I want. I write a detailed email with pictures. I waited 2 weeks but didnt hear back from anyone so I reached out to her to ask if she even received my email. She finally wrote me back and blew me off saying that since I'm in a rush maybe I'd be happier with someone else. I NEVER said I was in a rush....just looking for a response. I am very disappointed in Divinity Tattoo and their artists and the way they run their business. If you want a tattoo done make sure you get the whole thing in one sitting or else you might get screwed over too! read more
