Bear is the absolute best! They are the artist that has tattooed me the most. Their work is impeccable, their creativity and style is undeniable, and their attitude is so positive and inviting. Their room is such a vibe; it's easy to relax there while getting your piece done. Especially felt safe and seen going to a QTBIPOC artist like Bear. read more

I definitely recommend this place! It didn't take long for me to get taken care of, even as a walk in on a Saturday. The staff were kind and helpful. They have a beautiful variety of jewelry options, but I just went in for a plain ol' horseshoe septum. Took longer to drive there than the piercing process itself. I got pierced by Reagan who was knowledgeable, sweet, and quick! I couldn't have asked for a better experience. read more

First time getting anything done at the hole look!!! Kailee helped me out and changed the tops of my dermals! She was very patient and very sweet:) I would 100% recommend not only the hole look but Kailee as well! Loved everything about it! I will definitely be back! read more

Took my teen here for ear piercings and had a great experience. Very clean, lots of selections for jewelry, highly recommended. Will definitely go back. read more

Literally the best experience I could've asked for. I did the walk in approach, definitely get there at opening, there was already a line on a Tuesday (cuz they're that awesome). Once inside even though the person at the counter was SUPER busy and had A LOT of people (I wish I got her name, but it was this morning -7/18), she was still very polite, attentive, patient and knowledgeable--with incredible multi-tasking skills. Then when I went back for the actual appt later in the day, again, everyone was so friendly. Reagan was so nice and answered all of my questions, she was also the best moral support and again very knowledgeable. Blake did the actual piercing and he was so nice and he had a very soothing voice and demeanor and that was much appreciated. Overall: incredible experience, yes there is a wait, yes it takes time, yes it's not cheap. But that is because these are quality employees in a quality shop with quality education. Would 1,000% recommend and worth any amount of wait time :) --thanks everyone! read more

John and entire staff at The Hole Look were incredible. It was my first time getting a tattoo and John walked me through all the pros and cons of location and size. Everyone there was so friendly and made the experience so relaxed and awesome. I would recommend this place to anyone! read more

Reed is amazing. Great detail and professionalism. Highly recommend waiting to get on his books.

Madison did a nose and helix piercing for me. She is absolutely amazing and professional. I've had my nose pierced 3 times , this being my fourth and it was by far the most painless due to her technique . Also , Christina (I think that is her name, she has blonde hair) was very helpful in assisting me in picking out jewelry. And oh the jewelry!!!!! The jewelry there is absolutely amazing!!!! I am form NY and I have never seen such an amazing selection of jewelry. The only downside is it makes it hard to select and you'll want to buy everything !!! Overall, I had an amazing experience and will be going back for other piercing read more

Since my last visit The Hole Look has gone from warm, welcoming, and "making you feel like an old friend" to feeling very cliquey, unfriendly, like they're just trying to get you in and out and don't give a crap about anything but the basics, and just overall awful customer service. The prior staff members that have stuck around are still warm, welcome, and as friendly as can be. The newer staff doesn't give off the same vibe in the slightest. The previous staff was willing to answer any questions even before you get there. The new staff doesn't seem to want to give you anything until you come in and hand them your card. I'll definitely be switching to a new shop. read more

Piercers are wonderful, all the piercings that I have received from this shop have healed well and the selection of jewelry is good, albeit on the more expensive side so be aware if you want the sparkle you will pay extra. Remember to tip the piercer! And reserve a spot early! Piercing slots fill up super fast and walk ins don't always end in a piercing appointment from my experience read more

So me being the rebellious one, I wanted to get my nosed pierced on a whim.. so I came here and the gals working were so sweet and professional, they clearly walked me through the entire event. And I would highly recommend coming here for piercings and tattoos.. great team read more

I have been coming to Hole Look for years! From the piercing side (the whole story is tmi but let me say, they're incredible) to the employees who help with lingerie, they are experts! They always help me figure out what I want and how to use it, or where I want it... They are the best. They have a great selection of lingerie in various sizes, their tattoo artists are skilled and considerate, their piercers make sure you're taken care of... Hole Look is where it's at. read more

Wonderful! Fantastic! Lively environment! Fast friendly customer service. And some of the greatest artists I've met. Pricing is average and fair for the quality of work! Must go for piercings, tattoos and tattoo removal! It's simply a no brainer! read more

I have come here for exotic dancewear and piercings. Blake pierced my nipples and after my augmentation I will be returning to him to get them repierced. I had no healing complications, my body didn't reject it, and they're straight. Very happy with them. I also got my tongue done here and this is the one place I trust HOLE-heartedly read more

I have gotten three piercings done here. My septum, industrial, and the side of my nose. They all healed really nice and they provided me good knowledge on how to care for my piercing. Friendly atmosphere and friendly employees. read more

First time getting my ears pierced with a needle. And the environment was chill, professional and clean. I got a helix piercing. After one day, it stopped hurting (except when I accidentally bump on it) I have had my piercing for a few days now and is feeling good. It was $50 plus the saline solution plus tip for the piercer (total around $68) piercer was cool and nice. Would recommend highly. I will go back when I want to change my piercing eventually. read more

The Hole Look - Piercing Near Me - Anchorage, Alaska

Awesome place for both tattoos and piercings. I've gotten multiple piercings here over the years and it's been a great experience every time. The studio is clean and comfortable so you don't feel like you're in a hospital or somewhere like that. The staff is friendly and professional and will answer any questions or concerns you have. The pricing for both the jewelry and the piercing itself are very reasonable. Right now I'm working on a tattoo with James and he has been fantastic. He is very detail-oriented and works hard to ensure you're 100% satisfied with what you're getting. I gave him some reference photos of what I had in mind and he sketched a beautiful unique piece. He's fun to talk to while he's working and he tells you exactly what he's doing so you know what's going on. I definitely recommend The Hole Look if you're in Anchorage and look for a piercing and/or tattoo. read more

Stopped by to have my Jewelry re-inserted the staff makes you feel very comfortable. I would highly recommend The Hole Look!

Madison did my daughter's piercing and she is amazing!!!! I highly highly highly recommend this place.

Their "walk-in" service is not really walk-in. It's more of a walk-in to make an appointment. We were first in line at 12:00. Even got there at 11:00 just to make sure we were first. When checking us in, the front desk person said, "How does an appointment at 2:00 sound?" We left without getting pierced. We don't have time to wait around and come back at 2:00. We came for a walk-in (and waited a long time to be first in line) and that's what we thought we would get. We took our business to another place that does real walk-ins. We walked in, got pierced, paid, and walked out. Easy. read more

Madison did an AMAZING job with my tragus piercing! She was meticulous in explaining the piercing steps from start to finish - it made the process so professional but yet comforting. I received the same professional and friendly vibe from her colleague Blake as well. He gave a thorough explanation of the different types of jewelry that would fit best with my personal preference - thanks, Blake! Would definitely go back to this shop if ever I visit Anchorage again! read more

I'm not new to getting pierced but it's been a long time. Came here to have 2 holes reopened and 4 new piercings. Blake took good care of me. Had a great conversation while he prepared my ears and the hardware. Made it as painless as possible. I will definitely be back for future piercings and my next tattoo. read more

The Hole Look - Lower piercings about an hour after they were done. Red but have healed very well. Sooooo happy with how they look and healed. - Piercing Near Me - Anchorage, Alaska

Absolutely love this place. I've gotten all my tattoos done here, and every one has been great! Had tattoos done by James, Shara, and Kevin, and all three of them have been incredible to work with. the people behind the front desk are equally friendly and fun to be around, so coming in is never awkward or a downer. Great atmosphere, and more recently, great precautions and measures against covid-19. read more

Super kind staff, very clean, and they handled my dramatic teenager's fear of needles during her nose piercing with grace. I would definitely recommend them!!! read more

If you are a person who is thinking about walking in, good luck. I would recommend an appointment. We walked in on a Saturday, didn't expect to be assisted with our request that day, and was told they were booked within the first 30 mins of opening. Understandable. The lady up front recommended us to come in before 12 when they open for walk ins tomorrow. We showed up 15-20 mins the next day prior to the doors opening (mind you, there were 4 people in line and we were 5th) and STILL was told they were booked. It was the craziest thing. There was lack of empathy with the people up front and it didn't make sense how the whole day could've been booked when we were one of the few who showed up prior to the doors opening. The reason they gave us was it could've been emergency situations. I understand and fully empathize with emergencies. However, if it was an emergency, they'd be right there front and center ready to get taken care of. Or go to the doctor. IDK. This review is targeted to the future walk-ins. Good luck :) read more

The Hole Look is very clean inside and is very cool! I went in there to get my forward helix pierced. Blake is very nice and informative about the operation. He answered all my questions and gave me tips to how to have the healing process go smoothly. It has been two months and is going very well. Overall, the healing process is better than I expected. I will definitely get my ears pierced here from now on! The room where I got them pierced, reminded me of a hospital check up room. The tools were also sterilized, which is a must for me. While a friend and I had to wait a while in the waiting room, I had no problem waiting. But I do highly recommend going here to getting pierced here. :) read more

Minus stars..... Not impressed. AT ALL. Called for info on piercing-drove into to town 30 mins later to be told the piercer wasn't there after all. Happened twice. Not worth the time to try again--won't be going back there. read more

I went in today to get my tragus and conch piercing. I was greeted as soon as I walked in and the ladies at the front desk were able to help me with all of the questions I had. Although there was a little bit of a wait, it was worth it because of the nice clean environment. I also didn't suspect to just get right in. The prices weren't bad, I thought it was going to be pretty pricey, but $100 for two piercings is great. The room was incredibly clean and I felt that everything was sanitized well. Taryl was very sweet and brought me water when I almost passed out. She let me sit for a couple of minutes which I felt was really nice since I have been pushed out at other places. 10/10 would recommend. read more

Too begin, I use to get my piercings from BPU. But after I decided to get my cheeks pierced I figured I'd ask BPU for a price. So I did. They want $150.00 a piece for each cheek. . A little much but I was wiling. So I call around and The Hole Look has pricing for $75.00 for each cheek. Yes! You bet I took that. Not only are the prices from BPU crazy. But The Hole Looks service is WAY friendlier!! I will continue to get pierced from The Hole Look. Teryl was my piercer and I'll stay with her. read more

After reading reviews I'll probably never go anywhere else. I took my step daughter for a piercing (got one myself) and the guy was a pro. The front staff was super nice and knowledgeable. Better than BPU for sure, they seem to consistently have an attitude problem. The Hole Look was reasonable, clean, and friendly! read more

This place is mediocre to me. It's not bad and prices are cheaper than other places such as jewelry and piercing. Can't say anything about tattoos. One thing I appreciate is they're a lot more friendlier than body piercing unlimited. I got my industrial here and cartilage. They used a needle for the cartilage. Which is better than a gun. It just got infected really quick :( Location is accessible :) It doesn't smell the best and feel the cleanest until you enter their piercing rooms. read more

At first I was unsure how my experience would be here since I was unable to make an appointment and had no idea what to expect. I can easily say that this place blew me out of the water! I was getting both of my nipples pierced and the staff was super friendly from the moment I walked in. I was pierced by Blake. Not only was he incredibly professional, he answered all of my questions thoroughly!! He is also super nice-perfect to chat with!! From now on this will be my go to place for all my piercing needs. Thank you so much Hole Look!!!!! read more

My mom and I walked in today and we're greeted by a very clean studio. We both asked to get our nose pierced and the girl at the front desk was very helpful and professional. We were brought back into one of the rooms with 15 mins. The gentleman who pierced us was very friendly and made sure everything was sterile and we were comfortable. Will definitely be recommending this studio to others. read more

I hate needles. But I have commemorated past important life events with piercings and this was my first experience with a professional (Claire's doesn't count). The woman at the front of the shop was very helpful in explaining what I could expect, showing me jewelry, and helping me decide if I wanted to go rook or conch this go around. Once I finally made a belabored decision, I waited my turn and Blake took me to his sterile office and calmed me down some more. He explained everything, communicated to make me feel comfortable, and even let me hang out after the process getting me water and ice and chatting for about thirty minutes--when I started to get the spins (I mentioned I hate needles, remember?) which is normal for me--until I finally came back down to normal. The piercing itself (I did both ears) was quick, less pain than anticipated, and didn't even swell. It's feeling great today and I don't anticipate any issues. Thanks to a fantastic professional! read more

The Hole Look - Fresh conch piercing by Blake, second day. - Piercing Near Me - Anchorage, Alaska

Last week, my friend was visiting Anchorage from California and we both decided to get piercings done on a whim. The shop itself is super cute and clean on the inside, and is much bigger than it looks on the outside! The customer service was excellent when calling to ask about what piercing techniques they use (needle and then forceps or the tube thing depending on what's getting pierced), and the front desk was always up front about what time Blake would be leaving that day and when he would take his last clients. I believe we were his last clients on both days we went. We went on two separate days. The first day there was one group ahead of us and we were seen within 30 minutes (they don't take appointments). My friend got her third lobe piercings done and I got my conch and tragus pierced. On the second day there were two groups ahead of us and it took about an hour, I got my VCH done. All piercings are perfect and healing wonderfully. Blake was very knowledgeable, professional, personable, funny, and CLEAN! He also measured all of the piercings placements to make sure they were symmetrical which is awesome and made my OCD heart very happy! I had a triple helix and a forward triple helix done previously and she did not measure (just eyeballed which turned out ok, but I prefer the measuring!) I am actually pushing up my timeline to get my second lobe piercing (and last piercing ever....probably haha) because I'm moving to Denver in October but I want Blake to do the piercing! Highly highly recommend this place if you want to get pierced in Anchorage. read more

Charlie is the JAM! I came in to fill in some area for my half sleeve. It was on a whim and I didn't have much time and my budget was $400. He did the damn thing. Worked with me, stayed in my budget and had me out of the seat in time to scoop my dad from the airport! I wanted to get a tattoo before I left Alaska this week and he was an awesome choice. Completely freehand. He's very professional, super talented and interesting. The staff at this place is out of this world. I was super impressed with how they ran the place like a business and not just another tattoo joint. 10 stars. Will be going back if I ever visit Alaska again. read more
