I decided to get my first pair of tattoos from Sydney after following her work on Instagram for a while. Their shop is immaculate and there's dozens of art pieces hanging on every wall. I definitely dig their aesthetic here. Sydney did a great job of making me feel comfortable in an otherwise uncomfortable experience for many people. Everyone seems to be really nice and friendly here. As for the art itself, you can see that she did an amazing job. I was on the table for less than an hour and it cost less than I expected. Super clean and open environment. Rachel, the piercer, was wonderful to work with, and made the process of getting my first piercing quick and easy. She walked me through the process before even getting the area clean, to make sure I knew exactly what to expect and what would be going on, which alleviated so much anxiety. She was fully honest with me about which pieces of jewelry would work for me, and it never felt like she was trying to push a more expensive piece or anything like that- I never doubted she had my best interest in mind the whole time. The jewelry stocked here is high quality and affordable, and I have had no issues with the piercing, jewelry or the cleaning solution she provided to keep the piercing clean. I was on the hunt for an artist available while my friend was in town and it so happened that one of the artists, Tanner, had an opening. I think making the appointment in person is more efficient because of their deposit requirement and more direct communication. Everyone at the stop was very nice and welcoming, and the shop was very clean. Would recommended! I've been getting tattooed for 20yrs and this was the most underwhelming experience I've had since that time. Tanner was supposed to be the artist to do the work. Well, we didn't get there. Paid my deposit and was told that around a day before that I would get a call to come in and go over the art as to make any changes. That never happened. Day of, I receive a text stating his car broke down and needed to push the appointment back an hour or so. Needed to find a ride. Not my problem but it really was no problem, we got a lot of snow that day so I understood. This was around noon. FFW to 5-6 hours later, with zero communication in that time, he tells me his phone and car are broke. What happened to the ride bro? You couldn't communicate that? Uber doesn't exist? Guess you couldn't get a ride or borrow a phone? I had two appointments with this guy. An appointment for each hand. He wanted to do both at the next appointment. I declined because I work with my hands and wanted two separate appointments in order to give healing time, and because obviously he's unreliable. Well, I was offered my deposit back. He said I'll Venmo it over, which was over a month ago. Still waiting on that deposit there Tanner? Tell ya what, keep it and buy yourself a clue bro. Your communication is reminiscent of a toddler and your professionalism is pedestrian at best. I took the day off work only to sit around and wait for something, anything. When I reached out to Tanner days later to ask why he ghosted me he told me "I wasn't his only client". I may not be his only client but I took time out of my life to research several shops in town to pick this one, took the day off, and waited 2 months for the appointment only to be out the deposit and tattoo. Anyway, cheers and keep doing what your doing I'm sure you'll go far! Getting a tattoo is a big deal, it's on your body forever. The last thing someone will want is a tattoo that reminds them of a negative experience. I would never recommend this shop, especially Tanner. read more

The shop is clean and the atmosphere while getting a tattoo is nice. I picked this place out from a recommendation of my co-worker . This review is more for the artist I picked and not the entire shop . I booked my appointment with christian weeks in advance , I took off work , planned my flight , booked a hotel , rented a car just for this appointment. Prior to this appointment he had already done one tattoo for me , which I was very pleased with , hence why I booked another session with him. We talked about the area I wanted to have the art put on , he told me to bring some pictures of what I wanted and he would get me fixed up . I would like to say up front I have no idea of tattoo etiquette . I'm new to getting artwork so I'm not aware of things not to do to piss off your artist . Let me add that the first tattoo he did on me was in march .It took several hours just to put the outline on me . He told me he was going out of town for several months for work doing tattoos . I had no problem with that and was not told it would be inappropriate to have another artist do the color .I went on vacation to Georgia a few months later and had another artist color in my original tattoo (which turned out great by the way ), thanks to Stan. I went early to my appointment at the shop after being flown in to anchorage , Christian walked up to me shook my hand looked at my tattoo turned around walked to the cash register with no explanation and threw my deposit on the counter . Keep in mind this appointment was for a completely different area of my body and I've already spent thousands at this shop . The man at the register who I'm going to assume was the owner not only agreed with the way he treated me but referred me to go to another shop for my artwork . I was in tears standing there with no clue what happened , made to feel like a fool .I explained to the guy behind the counter I had flown in for this appointment , booked weeks in advance , rented a hotel room , and a car . There was no apology or offer for another artist to help me , instead I was told to go elsewhere . I was and still am completely shocked by the way I was treated . I reached out to the shop afterwards by phone and email to speak with the owner about what happened. This appointment was a week ago and I still have not heard back from the owner . That's not the way I would run a business and I certainly would not have someone working for me that acted like a child , slung money at a repeat customer and gave no explanation after all the trouble I went to for this appointment . The artist obviously has an ego issue and is aloud to act however he deems appropriate to his clients . Overall this was one of the most embarrassing , unprofessional appointments I've ever been to . I will pick a much more professional artist in the future . Be warned if you use Christian he has a bad temper and thinks highly enough of himself that your time and money don't mean anything .
