What can I say? This place is top notch. After suffering from a considerable amount of hair loss…read moredue to Hashimotos and great stress, I was fed up. After researching reviews and testimonials of wig salons in my area, I settled on Abba, as it seemed like the most logical choice that would meet my needs. I drove from San Antonio to Austin to meet with Sal. I expressed to her my concerns and she quickly brought back some toppers for me to try. We tried on a couple and then finally decided on a length. Then we went through and picked a color. I needed a base color so that my hairdresser was able to dye it back at my regular salon. I waited a week and drove back to see and get fitted for my topper. We tried it on and I wanted to cry. I spend so much time trying to cover my thinning hair with headbands, bobby pins and Such, that I couldn't believe how easy this was. Waaaaay too easy. I knew immediately my new topper and I were going to have a wonderful relationship. Sal cut my hair and steamed it out, and showed me how to care for it. She made herself available for any questions should my hairdresser have in regards to coloring it. The entire shop was wonderful, these women really really rock. Please go here if you are looking for hair. I would like to add, it's been 3 weeks since I have gotten my topper. You guys! I will wear this piece even after all my hair grows in. I wore it for 2 days before i finally had to tell my group of girlfriends I was wearing a topper. They couldn't believe it. I wore it around my mom for a week before I finally had to tell her. I get compliments daily on my hair. That is NO lie! My husband was blown away. This is the best investment I have made for myself in a long time!

There's a sign right on Kramer Road for the business, but it looks a lot like a residential home with a gate guard. There were four doors to choose from as none of them had any signage. This is definitely an upscale wig store and you can pay hundreds even thousands of dollars for the wigs here. You will be seated in a private room that is very well lit with a big mirror in front of you so that you can see clearly as to what you are trying on. The lady who helped my wife was helpful and polite, but we did not find anything that worked for her.

As a man…read morestepping into a ladies wig shop, I can't begin to tell you how far out of my comfort zone I was in. I was truely about to walk in to another dimension. And as soon as I walked through that door, I was just blown away by what I saw and I was compelled to yelp this new reality even though I have absolutely no experience in this field. So here goes. This business is located in an older small strip center with 3 other businesses. It is located right on Airport Boulevard by MLK with 15 parking spaces. Needless to say, this is primarily a ladies wig shop, but they do have a smidge of men's hair pieces. As soon as you walk through the door, you are immediately taken aback by the hundreds of mannequin heads staring back at you sporting every imaginable hairstyle. It's enough to make you stop in your tracks thinking you've entered the twilight zone. The shop is about the size of a small efficiency apartment, but it is crammed full of wigs on heads of every conceivable make and design. They have both synthetic and human hair wigs. The quality of the hair pieces here are of great quality and it's easy to drop over $100 or more on a wig here, especially on real hair. My wife decided on a $80 synthetic wig as the perfect choice. The owner was very knowledgeable, patient and helpful. The pictures explain it all. I may not be back, but my wife will.

It is however not on the store front/ street side of the strip mall. It is tucked in the back and can easily be missed. I stopped in after my appointment. While this beauty supply is fairly small and isn't your typical sized beauty supply, they carry most of your basic hair needs and the extraordinary customer service makes up for it. I am not sure if it was the owner I spoke with while there but, she is very knowledgeable of all the products in question. I was looking for a good braid spray. She walked me over to the section and gave a brief background on all of the sprays she had in stock and the effects each ingredient has on your hair. This was quite impressive! It shows she orders products that are helpful and won't actually damage our hair. They also have the roll on body oils we love, some perfumes, and coffee grounds to freshen the nose after smelling all of the lovely scents. I am happy to have a beauty supply closer to me. I will definitely return soon!
