I stopped by Bisbee Table while visiting Bisbee back in February. I had such a great experience…read more The restaurant is really cute and has a cozy, unique atmosphere the fits the character of Bisbee perfectly. It's located in Copper Queen Plaza, which has several little shops and businesses so you can easily walk around and explore. I ordered the pizza and calamari and it was delicious. Everything came out fresh and flavorful. I'll definitely come back here the next time I'm in Bisbee.

I had my dog with me and was told I could sit inside, right by the entrance. Two other tables had just left. All the server asked me is if my dog was friendly. Yes, he was at his best behavior. I ordered a Frick'n chicken sandwich with sweet potato fries. Both were delicious! While I'm not fond of jalapenos, the few on the bun weren't overpowering. The chicken breast was large and the sauce, pickles, tomato slice and onions were plentiful. I got excellent service since it was just me and Hansel. The ambiance is old rustic, with an open ceiling and high rotating fans. I've been here before when the place was crowded and loud, but tonight was a quiet date night with my dog.

Both of us would make the trip back to Bisbee just to eat this again! The chef here certainly knows how to create delicious meals with perfectly balanced flavors. Both of us got a cocktail as well and the bar tender smashed it, they were delicious. We ended the dinner with a crème brûlée and it was a perfect cap to the meal. Some extra surprises we got were the complimentary salad they serve you to get the meal started and a palate cleanser before your main dish of a gelato. Also an incredible, relaxing live musician upstairs played during the meal. I can't recommend Cafe Roka enough, and shout out to our server Laurel for making it such a great experience for us.

We called to make a reservation- if stairs are challenging choose the first floor (more accessible but louder). We were seated on the 3rd floor and it was perfect. Much more quiet and had a musician playing the guitar! Our Server was Laurel and she explained the daily specials and answered questions about the menu. We ordered the sampler which came with artichokes wrapped in bacon, dates and red peppers stuffed with cream cheese. I could have eaten like five more samplers because they were that good. For dinner, I order the Penne pasta with spicy sausage. My husband ordered the lamb meatballs, which came with couscous and chickpeas in a very mild curry sauce, which was perfect even for me. I don't need lamb and I'm not big on curry and I thought his dish was delicious. We had the creme brule for dessert and that was great as well. For drinks I ordered a Matador Rose (tequila, rose, tamarind and grapefruitz) and hubby had the Excalibur (Bourbon, blackberry, bitters). Both were SO good and fairly strong without messing with the flavors.

I'm gonna go on the record with a controversial opinion: Copper Queen is over-hated because it's a…read morehistoric building set in the middle of steep and hostile terrain. You have to climb a hill every time you go to the parking lot. The elevator didn't work during my trip, and judging by the reviews before my own, it probably won't work for you, either. You might have to climb 3 flights of stairs every time you need to go to your room. Yes, the air is thinner--this is about the same elevation as Prescott, or Denver. If you can brave these conditions, you will be rewarded! The atmosphere is as good as it gets, and you really feel like you've been sent back in time. There are so many cool, communal areas--a bar on the first floor, a lounge with a working piano on the second. You'll even find a balcony with some seating and one of the best views in town. It's in the center of downtown, and walking distance from almost anywhere around here you'd want to go. Not to say there isn't any room for improvement. The weather is splendid most of the year, I'm sure, but this uniquely scorching summer overpowered their antiquated AC in the middle of the day. I don't like the old-timey bathtub with the 360 curtain, but I have to admit that it looks cool. There's room for some sort of shelf in the bathroom, but I guess they never got around to that. The inconveniences are forgivable, and if you don't dwell on them so much it really helps immerse you into a sense of rugged Southwestern history.

Even though the hotel was deserted...( I never saw…read moreanother guest) I was assigned a small, dark, room facing an air shaft-with a bed that sat on an aluminum fame no headboard and no internet. What a miserable experience and it soured my whole trip, so much so that I left after one uncomfortable night and went home. It's a non smoking hotel, but the front desk staff sits outside the front door and smokes. When we came back to the hotel after dinner they offered an upgraded room for us to move to. The hostility we felt at check in, the apathy ...the lack of welcoming we experienced was unlike anywhere else I've ever been. Not ONCE were we made to feel welcome. So we left and were told we would not receive a refund for the 2nd night that we did not use- Stay away from this place!

We stumbled upon this place which is a bit further walk than the main part of town. If you head away from the main part (walk up the hill on the main street) you will see it on the right. It seemed to have better (earlier hours) than the other places in town. The sandwiches were surprisingly good. My wife had the Tuna Salad on Mixed Greens ($11.95) and was quite happy with it. I had one of their sandwich specials, which was the turkey, brie, gruyere, and bacon (with a mayo called "prickly pear jalapeno mayo) on excellent grilled focaccia bread. In fact, it was my favorite sandwich of the trip. We ate outside on the patio, which was nice. Although you order at the counter, they bring your food to your table (it was a bit slow) and you bus your table too.
