Not to mention the 70 minute session was more like 50-55 minutes of head spa, the rest was us changing and the blow dry. I've been to two other head spa experiences which I loved and comparing Vivi with the other places, I didn't care for Vivi much at all. My mom agreed as well. My MIL has never experienced a head spa so she liked it. In other head spas that I've been to, they included a mini facial. Also, when I left those other places, my hair was extremely clean and soft. My hair was not soft after Vivi which could be due to their usage of low tier products. I think I saw Pantene Pro V on their cart. The only good product they used was Olaplex during the blowdry. The ladies were nice but the service was just so so. I would not come back again.

Negative-The massage overall felt harsh and hurried and the room was chilly. She was not consistent and I could not fully relax. The scalp massage was hard and overdone. I had a headache after which I know is common with massages but the pressure was excessive. I had to tell her to lighten up a couple times. The directions were not clear with what to do during transitions. Positive- warmed eyemask during scalp massage, asked several times if we were okay, and water was warm and comfortable. A couple improvements- slow down during massaging, use a diffuser or scent in the room, warming blanket or bed, try different techniques with scalp and not so hard on the scalp, learn how to give a classic blow out after scalp massage.

I tried a variety of options and purchased packages for sauna and WBC. I was excited for these self-care packages to help me feel better overall. I had some significant joint and muscle discomfort and I was recommended WBC as a complementary therapy. My sessions with Mike were most excellent. They have six levels. After trying level 1 without feeling much effect, I got permission from my doctor to go to level 5 and 6 to improve the results. I would not have chosen this on my own without the ok from professionals. From the start, Brenda called me "crazy" for wanting to go to higher levels and showed intense pushback, both verbally and thru facial expressions, even though it is safe and I had full clearance. I repeatedly told her in person this is okay for me, but she kept pushing back and made my self-care experience extremely awkward and uncomfortable. Just because she is not brave enough to go to higher levels herself, it is inappropriate and annoying for her to dissuade others from doing so. On a side note, even though I did not have any contraindications, I noticed not all contraindications are listed on their website. For my final session, she refused again, even though I told her so many times in person I have the clearance to do so. Did that not register? I even e-mailed her a copy of the clearance. This became increasingly frustrating and I asked for a partial refund on the session that I chose to not ultimately use. In addition, I had a reiki session with her. While this was mostly uneventful, I picked up a smoky smell from her. I cannot say for sure whether she's a smoker, as I have no idea, but I definitely smelled the smokiness, but didn't feel comfortable asking her directly at the time. I just waited for the session to be over and took a shower when I got home. I did enjoy my sauna sessions at this place, especially the music hook-up in the infrared sauna, although there is no hook-up in the dry sauna. Again, it was a wonderful pleasure to see Mike the many times I did. He is a lovely man, even though Brenda said he made an "error in judgment" in letting me try a higher-level WBC. That is bogus. Mike was incredibly professional and consulted with me with care before every session. I'm glad I tried the higher level with him. Keep up the great work, Mike. I wish you continued success, but I had to be honest in sharing my experience with Brenda when you were away on vacation. You are a kind gentleman.

I liked that the massage was on time and they use foot covers before walking into the massage rooms. I was given a bottle of water and ear plugs to tune out from the game room next door. Thankfully I didn't need it. Sandy, my masseuse today was excellent. She recognized how tight I was and gave me the best therapeutic massage ever. The pressure was amazingly great. I did ask for a deep tissue massage. Whatever Sandy did today, relieved the pain in my calf and fixed plantar. The massage was purely magic, I was in pain when I entered and the pain simply dissipated in that 60 min massage. I was given another bottled water at the end of the massage. Sandy also explained what was going and how she fixed it. I am definitely going back, hopefully for some relaxation massage and not for under painful circumstances.
