Yelp needs to catch up with the TripAdvisor and Google reviews for this place. Literally a hole-in-the-wall pizza place. Even though it was nearing closing hour on a weekday, we saw plenty of locals come by and order takeout. The place is pretty small and unassuming, but what it lacks in decor, it more than makes up for in their Neopolitan pizza.
Lots of pizza to choose from! Their menu was on printed on standard size printer paper and entirely in Italian (better brush up on that Italian). We each ordered a pizza and the pizza chef/instructor (note certifications on the wall) started kneading the pizza dough by hand right in front of us. The pizzas were served hot and fresh out of the oven on pieces of cardboard pizza boxes, which didn't matter, because this was THE BEST pizza we had in Italy. The crust was perfectly charred, cheeses gooey, and the tomato sauce so flavorful. It was AMAZEBALLS! Did I mention each pizza was under ten euros?!?
If you're looking for Neopolitan pizza in Florence, this place is legit. I would recommend ordering to go since the place space is limited, but feel free to stick around and watch the pizza master at his craft. read more
