The guys maintain three rental houses with pools for me. They are fast, always on time, and I never have to follow up.

I would not under any circumstance recommend this company. They are not licensed or bonded even though they will say they are. They only pose a business license. We were effectively forced to be our own project managers. We continually had to review their "completed" work and have it redone for both safety and aesthetic reasons. They made every part of our project a fight and phone call with the owners to have it completed the way it was laid out in our contract. Worst of all we ended up paying 30% more than the competition for less than subpar work. If I could give them negative stars, I most certainly would. Our pool was over 20 years old and in rough shape. The pool deck was cracked, we had drainage issues and major leaks in our pool lines. Due to the pool line leaks we decided to get the entire backyard redone including the pool. Our project included the following: renovating the existing pool, add a fire pit area and a large composite deck off the pool. We provided Dive In with a scale outline of what we wanted with all the measurements and placement of each component of the project. This was provided to Dive In before they quoted the project. We also had the ground marked out with paint when they took their measurements. As soon as we started work, they began refusing to replace all the lines and the composite deck as stated in our contract. We had to have a phone call with the owners, to get the lines replaced due to the actual condition of the lines during their repair attempts. They even attempted to get us to pay additional for replacing the lines. We then had to go back into negotiations for the contract because they did not want to complete the deck as part of the contract, we also had to omit the fireplace. They stopped work on our project for weeks while this was happening and held our deposit ransom while they consistently tried to make the contract only fit their needs and ignored what we originally asked for. Being really shady during the whole process. Once work recommenced they would show up unannounced and at all times of the day and on the days they were supposed to come they wouldn't show. We ended up needing our spa rebuilt as well, it became evident they had very little to no experience doing this work. They poured a cold joint in the concrete and the plumbing looks like a 5 year old's erector set. We will more than likely have to replace all of their work very soon. Once we got to finally laying the concrete deck Dive In calls to tell us the sq ft changed. Mind you we never changed it, they tell us to shrink our design or pay more money for the additional sq ft. Lee, one of the owners ended up screaming at my husband for refusing to pay them extra and threated to completely stop work unless we did. Jeff the owner calls us back and says we have to pay at least half. It then takes two weeks to get the deck poured because they never ordered the color that we chose for the pool deck finish. The whole experience was an absolute nightmare. Their employees do subpar work at best. We paid roughly 30% more than we would have with anyone else for subpar work and their game is to take your money and try to do as little of the work if any, while you struggle to either get your money back or get them to actually do the work. Jeff and Lee are the most self-serving, dishonest people I have ever encountered in my life. read more

If I could give NO stars, I would. I can't figure out how this company is still in business. (See Update at bottom of this review.) I got involved with them last summer to have a heater installed on our pool. It took them weeks to accomplish. They'd do something small, go away and I'd find myself on the phone calling them to find out when they were going to come back. I actually had to nag them into finishing the job. Completely unreliable. Here I am a year later with a broken heater. Since the parts are still under warranty, I'm forced to deal with them again. I had to shut down the pump as well and now my pool is filling up with muck. Excuse after excuse, they can't make it for one inadequate reason or another. Meanwhile my pool is turning into a pond. By the time they get here, the pool will be closed for the season. I emphatically do not recommend. *Update: Just got a call from a very self-important someone at Dive In who has decided to cut off my warranty because he saw this review. Didn't want to make things right, just wanted to throw his weight around. So apparently they install shoddy equipment AND refuse to back it up when it breaks down. We selected Dive In, Inc. to build our pool and spa. We reviewed their website and checked out online reviews. All was positive, but later we found out that things on the website was not accurate . For example, they said they were a member of the Pool and Spa Professionals, later we found out they were not. We met with the sales person and had a beautiful design starting in February and was told we would have a pool in the ground by June. They suggested we put more money down to keep things moving forward so we did. Than everything went silent. For months, we were not been provided with any updates on the progress of the pool without having to call daily. We were told we in the permitting process but called the county and there was NO record of plans being submitted. We sent emails and left messages for DIve In, inc staff with no response. They have failed to meet timelines they initially outlined for the completion of the pool. If you want a pool completed in any reasonable timeline, DO NOT USE DIve In, Inc. In addition, anytime you would ask questions or call them out on lack of action, they became less cooperative and extremely defensive. They are are deceptive and dishonest. They are unreliable, customer service is minimal, and project management is nonexistent. Do not recommend. In the end, we walked away from using them because of their dishonest and deceptive business practices. Don't believe anything they tell you. read more

Dive in Inc. scammed us. On Tuesday 11/26 I called them to have someone come out and fix a multitude of problems on the pool with Hayward Omni-logic system. I was told it would be a $75 trip fee which would include a diagnosis and any repairs needed that fee would go toward that cost. They never specified a proposal for prices beyond that. They sent a technician out without all the tools he needed to fix the issue. About 30 minutes after the technician (Fred) got there he told me he didn't really know how to fix it, and needed to call the IT department for help, which he couldn't call since they were off until Monday due to the holidays. I asked if we should just reschedule for him to come back out on Monday and he stated he wanted to continue to work on it to see if he could figure it out. Again, I was not aware of any hourly rate of having a technician out there. I checked in again a couple times once I saw it was going nowhere and he still said he wanted to work. After TWO AND A HALF HOURS of him flipping through the owners manual and testing some stuff we finally agreed to to reschedule since nothing was actually fixed. I asked him what I owed him and what needed to be done, he said that he would take care of it and that we would settle up when he came back on MONDAY once everything is fixed. On Monday 12/02 at about 12:00pm I still hadn't heard from Fred and called Dive In Inc. I spoke with Donna, only for them to tell me that he wasn't scheduled to come out and I had a "past due" bill from Friday's service THREE DAYS PRIOR where nothing had been accomplished or fixed that needed to be paid before they could send someone out. I found the bill in my inbox (which they had only sent over an hour prior) for $670 for 2.5 hours worth of labor. I understand that every service comes with a cost, that's fine. However, I could have had my boyfriend come out and flip through a book for two hours for free! I also asked him to reschedule MULTIPLE times, I was told directly by Fred/tech that we wouldn't owe anything until he came back out and "IT WAS ALL FIXED", and that Fred would take care of the scheduling for Monday. After speaking with the accounting department (Grace)/front desk (Donna) and getting nowhere the bill was paid as Mark had taken the entire day off work at the last minute. We called to see what time Fred could come back out only to be told that he HAD GONE HOME FOR THE DAY at 1:00pm. Not only did Fred lie, the company was unhelpful, and we are out nearly $700 dollars with "repair" exactly the same as they found it. Would not recommend this company to ANYONE. read more

AVOID THIS COMPANY LIKE THE PLAGUE! I used them to build my pool and I was quoted a price, during construction I was told they needed $20K more for wall construction because my yard had deep decline. They saw my yard before the quote was given. I was told my pool would take 8 weeks. It took over 1 year. I was told I was getting custom built chaise lounges onto my tanning shelf. They tried to give me chaise lounges out of a box. I asked almost weekly when my lounges would be built. I was always told "we build them later". At the end I was told they didn't know how to build them. I selected a beautiful blue color of pebble finish and I was given a nasty gray color with black accents that they told me would change color after acid washing. Every time I challenged them they insisted colors were the same, but finally admitted that they "gave" me an upgraded pebble tech product as a customer service good will gesture because they took over 1 year to build. PLEASE DON'T MAKE THE MISTAKE I MADE trusting these con artists. read more
