The Tallman family and their Ops guys Zane and Wayne, took good care of us with both the design/install of our pool, spa and water feature, but also with occasional maintenance needs that have come up over the last few years. Customer service is at the heart of Eddie's business and we're glad we went with them as fiberglass requires a lot less care and has an amazing warranty compared to our prior experience with gunite pools, while costing less than a gunite pool when all is said and done. Went to the office to inquire about having someone come look at my property to see if a pool is possible in my backyard. Spoke with James. He said he needed a copy of my property plans. I got those the next day and emaild them to the office. After no response, I called. The person who answered said that James was at lunch and he would have him call back. I have yet to receive any correspondence. Called another pool company, they came out the next day and a week later I had a 3d rendering and a contract. read more

Tallman pools is a joke. My first contact with them was over a month ago, went to the plant and met with Chris. He told me that the work couldn't be done. I called back a couple of weeks later to verify and Chris stated that he had misspoken and the work could be done. The company then came to my property to measure the space and pool layout. They said I needed a retaining wall and said they would send me a quote and pics of some styles. Then they went silent. I emailed, called and text Chris and got no response. I called the office & spoke to James who claimed he was the sales manager and stated Chris was out but could assist me in Chris' absence. He never followed up as promised. When Chris returned a week later he said that James was NOT a sales manager and that he would have the quote to me that same day. Never heard a thing back. If this is the type of customer service & lies they are providing before you sign the contract, what does that say about their service after they have your money? BEWARE! read more

The person took my information down and said he would email me the quotes and that they will booked out till March of next year which is fine by me. My project was to find a negative edge fiberglass pool that I could install on a tile deck elevated 18' at a new beach house in North Carolina. Code required the bottom of the structure that houses the pool to be 10' above the mean hide tide line. After talking to several manufacturers who weren't interested in the business I ran across Ed Tallman, owner of Tallman Pools in Georgia. He was intrigued with the project and after many calls and drawings, he manufactured a custom pool with a dropped edge on one side that I could finish perfectly with tile to create the infinity edge. If you ever consider getting a pool, start with Tallman Pools of Jonesboro, GA. My wife and I had debated for years about whether or not we should get a pool. We have never owned a pool and were intimidated by the thought of having to care for one. After doing lots of research on different types of pools we decided that a fiberglass pool with a salt water system would be the way to go. We took a leap of faith and drove over to the Tallman factory to see what they had to offer. After visiting the factory and meeting Edward, we decided to have Tallman Pools come out to our house to explain the process and give us some ideas on design. Since we were close to their location, they explained that they could do all the excavation, installation, grading, and concrete work as well. We were thrilled to find out that we could to deal with one company through the entire process. After hearing everything that they could do for us, we decided to take the plunge and become new pool owners. We decided to go with a 14x34 pool, the San Lucas. Because of the slope in our backyard, we had to have a small retaining wall installed as well. Not only did the wall turn out great, it significantly enhanced the look of the pool area. Edward, Ed Sr., Michele, and Anne were extremely helpful explaining every step of the process. They even sent us a "thank you" basket after the pool was completed!! My husband and I were planning on giving our backyard a new facelift with a new patio. The idea of a pool came up in the planning. It seemed a bit far fetched for our budget and size of our backyard (it is quite small) until we found out about the Assisted Installation Program by Tallman Pools. Their warehouse is located in Jonesboro, just 20 minutes south of Atlanta, so we made it a family trip to pick out our new pool and find out what assisted installation entailed. Tallman Pools provides you with their custom fiberglass shell. From there you can customize your pool with a salt or chlorine system, custom lights, heat pump, etc. They will give you a delivery date and you are in charge of organizing the contractors that are involved for excavation, electricity, and pouring the concrete around the border of the pool. Ed, the owner personally gave us a tour of his facility and kept telling us that once we have our contractors lined up to make sure to call him for detailed instructions. We opted for a 10' x 17' pool that is the perfect size for our backyard, a salt system, and two custom lights. Installation date was set for Monday, May 20th. The weekend prior, the excavator came to dig. They had been in contact with Ed Tallman to get all the specs that they needed. Unfortunately, we were a bit delayed by heavy rain, so that come Monday morning we were still digging before the pool arrived. The crew at Tallman Pools was very relaxed about our delay and super helpful with the entire process to get the pool off the truck and in its final location as getting there I am sure was not the norm. The path to the backyard is rather small and required quite a few extra hands and expertise. Shortly after the guys from Tallman Pools left, the electrician came to install the pump and salt water system. Up until this point, I had no idea how often Ed Tallman actually talked to every contractor that we had chosen. I have to be honest, when he first told us in our initial meeting, I was sure that he just says that to end a good sales pitch. I was completely wrong. He actually genuinely means it. I know this myself as he greatly helped us find a new contractor for the pouring of our concrete border as the one we had contracted with had a family emergency. I am sure that if it hadn't been for Ed we would still be waiting for the concrete to be poured. I never had a pool before, so the use of the pump, the salt water system and cleaning the pool was foreign to me. Tallman Pools send one of his associates out immediately for a demonstration and again told us not to hesitate to call if we needed help. I have no hesitation at all to do so. Overall, the installation of the pool was a breeze, Tallman Pools super helpful and it saved us a lot of money!
