From the start, the Liner was not installed correctly and hasn't been in place, even though the company has come three or four times to try to fix it. However, the problem persists, and every time I contact them, they give me excuses like waiting for warmer weather to work. Now they tell me I need to fill the pool with water for them to come check it, but I can't do that because the work they did is of poor quality and not properly done. I'm very frustrated, as I paid a significant amount to renovate my pool, and I'm still dealing with the same unresolved issue. I've sent multiple emails, and every time they respond with promises of a solution that never come through. The lack of honesty and the quality of the work have left me with no choice but to find another company to fix the problem and take legal action to get reimbursed for the repair costs. Despite multiple calls and emails, they were largely unresponsive. When we finally reached them, they agreed to a monthly maintenance plan. However, beyond superficial cleaning, they failed to resolve major issues. The pool loses water, makes strange noises, and the hot tub empties itself. They sent a cleaner who had no clue how to diagnose or explain the issue. On my second call, a manager named John promised a resolution but only offered vague updates. He also addressed me inappropriately, calling me "brother," then abruptly ended the call. In summary, YammyPool has ignored critical issues, provided no solutions, and continues to charge us while leaving the system malfunctioning. We expect a prompt, professional resolution or we will escalate further.

Repeatedly said they would show up, no call no show. Finally showed up- Monday- again no notice)…read moreand opened but said water was too cloudy so they would come back to vacuum more later. They use my equipment, which is no problem- except they (I am sure inadvertently) took my vacuum head. A few hours later, pump stopped and water rushing out. Called that night, was told they would come tomorrow- no call no show Tuesday. Showed up Wednesday, didn't have the part, tried to find it locally, said would have to order it and arrive next week. We ordered it on Amazon and had it in 48 hours, fix that one ourselves on Saturday. Leaks in other places still there, called Monday can you please come finish fixing equipment and return vacuum head. Woman answering the phone with extremely indignant. "That's not possible, we use our own equipment", me: " well, they used my net", her: " it must've just been out there somewhere", me: " it was in the bin with all of the pool equipment, including the vacuum head. Two poles were used, one was left with the net on it, the other was empty." She would "let them know", never heard from anyone again.

We still need to complete landscaping before we can close our permit. At this point, if you are assessing Hilltop, I think it's safe to consider them. Write down the names and contacts that the people you are dealing with. It gets confusing over time. For example our Project Manager sent us some initial kick off emails and answered a few questions but after that we are dealing with different people to resolve our issues. The Project Manager was not part of our issue resolution. Some of the people we dealt with early on in the process e.g. permitting you will ended up dealing with them again, later part of the process. 8/8 Update: Salt Cell installed. Hilltop sent someone in pretty quick (same day) after we reported the issue. They also sent another trainer few days later per our request to show us the salt cell operations and cleaned out our filter (pretty dirty from the additional pavers work that had to be done). Failed Electrical because fence repair was not done (no one told us that this has to be done before scheduling electrical inspection). Hilltop took responsibility and resent inspector few days after we had fence work done. Passed inspection once the fence was done. 7/29 Update: We were told we are ready for Pool School so we scheduled it. Turn out there was no salt cell installed. This was not communicated to us ahead of time until the Pool Technician is at our house. Frustrating nevertheless. 6/28 Update: Hilltop sent Pavers subcontractor back a couple of times to repair our pavers. Work was completed to our satisfaction. The time loss of course is not recoverable but our priority is quality. ----- Before 6/28 - The design team did a good job working with us meeting our impervious restriction. I am appreciative of that. The installation of our in ground pool started on March 11th. Payments have been made in full but project is still not done as of today, July 8th. Pavers were installed beautifully the first time but we were told that they had to be removed for bonding inspection. Pavers redo has been a nightmare. Unleveled pavers, sharp and broken edges, poor quality overall. We expected better from Hilltop. We reported the issues to the company and were told they will redo pavers and get this right. Came home from vacation, expecting a nice rework. Unfortunately, we were once again disappointed because they were not redone at all - even though we were told it was while we were away. Due diligence and communication have been poor. Today, we once again reported the issues to the owner of the company and project supervisor. I will update review and let you know if the company follow through with a redo and takes care of things like the owner said they would the last time.
