Since it was my first visit, they created my account on the spot and made the whole process smooth. I went for a layered haircut to shorten my hair a bit. I showed the stylist a reference picture, and she completely understood the look I wanted. The session started with a nice hair wash, followed by the cut and blow-dry. The stylist did a great job -- my hair feels light, fresh, and styled just how I envisioned. They also offered tea, coffee, or other drinks as a kind gesture, which I really appreciated. The entire service took about 45 minutes on a Sunday, and I walked out happy with the result. The total cost came to $99 including tax, which felt a bit pricey to me for a haircut. However, the experience and quality were good enough that I'd consider going back -- hopefully when they have some offers for their regular clients!

I said not to worry about trimming my existing bangs but at the end of my appointment (which took less than 40 minutes including hair washing and styling - was it a race? fastest cut I've ever had and it shows) the stylist said "let me just trim them a little bit" and she botched them. They are so jagged and uneven and there is nothing I can do to hide what she did. They're already so short that they can't be trimmed any more to even them up without making them look even weirder. I spent over an hour trying to find a way to style my new cut that would make it look less uneven (all over, not just the bangs) and it can't be done. I guess I just have to let it grow out. I wish I'd said something while I was still at the salon but I thought maybe it would just take some getting used to and that I'd like it more after I styled it myself. No such luck, it's awful. Now I know why other hair stylists take so much longer to cut my hair - it's because they don't want to rush and do a sloppy job. The people in the salon were nice and I came in with an idea of what I wanted for color. Leo explained the color wheel and how they were going to blend the demarcation line and tone my roots. It must've been a busy day because they ran out of hot water for washing hair. When it came time to apply the color I feel like Leo was very hands off as another stylist applied the color under his instruction. I saw a lot of old balayages with toner that blended beautifully with a nice gradient on Leo's IG but I feel like I didn't necessarily get that same treatment. As I sat in the chair two other customers came in and I feel like his focus was on the other two girls so much so that he asked me if it was okay that he doesn't style my hair and stated "but you won't leave the salon with wet hair" I was very surprised but they at least blew dry my hair after rinsing the color out. $200ish with tip and a month and half later the state of my hair is as pictured even after following strict instructions to use color safe shampoo and washing infrequently with no heat tools. Overall a disappointing experience for me.

The whole appointment (wash, cut, dry and style) took about an hour and cost $95 (I have relatively long hair, I believe they quote a price range to account for length). The salon itself was busy and a bit loud. It is very bright (likely because they do hair and makeup) and felt more like a party rather than a relaxing place/spa. They have a ton of staff so I was taken back right away. When I went, both men and women were there for haircuts and someone was getting their makeup done. I would absolutely go back and go to Senait again.
