This might be literally the worst eyelash place I have ever been to and I've been getting mine done for 10 years. They don't know what they are doing and every time I have gone there the eyelashes start falling out immediately when leaving and last a week at most. They are always crooked and uneven and they never do what I ask for. The owner makes everyone wear a mask too meanwhile she doesn't wear one. They also charge so much and they use really bad quality lashes. Avoid. read more

I was referred by a close friend to get my lashes done with Sandy (I think the Salon owner) before heading on my Romantic Weekend Beach getaway to San Juan. She wasn't available so I was scheduled to with Gabriela. Upon arrival, I was greeted by their sweet hostess, Nyurka who offered me a nice Mimosa while I waited My lashes were wonderful and at last minute I decided on brow tint. I loved them both. The time I spent there was great and lots of awesome women, of all ages, came by for services. I went to the beach for 4 days straight and the pool. My lashes are all intact. The tint, has washed out some, but I got it done 7 days ago, and I do prefer the slightly washed out look. OVERALL I was pleased with the services and plan on going back for a refill and tint. Well, they must've thought I only spoke English because they spoke negatively about another client in front of me. BIG NO, NO. The place is definitely NOT private or discreet. It's a step up from your local MUA, if you will. Not to mention they speak across the room to each other. That same day I was impressed by Gabby's work I had scheduled my next appointment. That same week, I missed my flight and called to cancel. When I called around 9:00am I got a sloppy "hello". The young lady said " I can't talk but I could call you back give me your number." I was calling to cancel. She took my number, NEVER called me back but charged me $60 for a supposedly "No Show". I called and the owner mentioned her policy and claimed I signed a cancellation agreement. I surely didn't... because they had no paper for the printer. I just moved to the area and after driving past this place a few times and reading the reviews decided to try it out. I booked an appointment online for the glam lash set. I hadn't had my lashes done in a while (I don't get them done regularly) and wanted to look cute for Memorial Day weekend. The shop is cute albeit small. There are about 4 lash chairs that are fully open (no individual booths with curtains). They'll ask you what sort of look you're going for if it's your first visit. Danielle did my lashes and they came out great. The Pandora station they have playing is very '00s R&B/pop which is relaxing, but of course you can always use your own headphones. They chat amongst themselves while providing your service which I didn't mind. I also tried the sugar daddy brow treatment which includes a wax and tint. Sandra did a great job masking my subpar microblading. I also have very stubborn brows, but she applied the tint a few times to get them to look decent. I came in one day randomly because I was in the area. I'm so thankful I did! I made an appointment as soon as I spoke to the receptionist as she was so nice! She was knowledgeable about the services and the placed looked awesome. I always say that a great receptionist will keep customers coming. I was hesitant to get my lashes done because of all the horror stories I've heard. Well Sasha did squash those nerves! She took me through the process step by step, analyzed my eye shape, asked me what I wanted and what it would take to get there. I told her that I had gotten my lashes done before and they were quite exactly what I wanted. I wanted full, big, cat eyes. Oh boy, did she give me exactly what I wanted and slayed my face even more by adding that Suga Daddy Eyebrows! I'm so happy I walked in that day because I left looking like a new person. Girls, lashes and brows make your face. You must know that! When making appointments, though, as a courtesy to others, please book exactly what you want done. I had to wait an extra ten to twenty minutes past my appointment time because a lady didn't book a "lash removal" from lashes she got from elsewhere and just booked a full set. Ya know, it's by accident that I realized this place is mediocre. I live in the Heights and was excited to support a new business in the area. I went there twice-- both times for natural eyelash extensions, during one visit also a Sugar Daddy brow. Before Eye Candy, I only got extensions once and that was many years ago in a foreign country so I had no recent experience. The ladies working there were definitely chatty as mentioned in a couple of other reviews, but I honestly didn't care much because they're young, dating....whatever. I just chuckle when the business can comment that clients come in for a spa experience thus no kids policy (which I completely agree with!), but I have to hear all this gossip. haha. But still not a deterring factor for me. They were also about 20-30 minutes late both times I arrived, but I have a high tolerance for waiting, so that also didn't warrant the two stars. So why??? I was going to go in a third time, but they called to push my appointment back because (surprise!) they were running late. Actually appreciated the heads up, but it wasn't going to work for me. They were booked other times I needed, so I went here on Yelp to look up another place to get it done before a trip. And that's when I realized how mediocre their extensions were! When I saw this new lady she's goes "oh my goodness, do your lashes hurt? They look so painful." I ask in response: "Wait. It's not supposed to be kind of uncomfortable??" She laughed and proceeded to take off the lashes done at Eye Candy, and I asked if it's normal for it to be so clumpy when my lashes naturally fall out. She noted that they were gluing an extension to two lashes which is why they were coming off clumpy, looking painful, and no, it's not normal. I never had the Eye Candy lashes on for more than 17 days, followed all the rules, and it was clumping up from day one. Hmm. I still didn't completely turn myself off from Eye Candy until after I walked out with these new lashes. WHOA. What a difference. It felt completely normal. Felt great, looked beautifully fanned out...perfect lashes. And even after two weeks on, they were falling out naturally one at a time; no clumps!! I loved her so much I went back for microblading. Sadly she's moved away. =*( Still wish Eye Candy luck, and maybe I'll try them again for their new dry bar....but right after this post, I'll be searching for a new place. read more

The day before Thanksgiving every single eyelash bar in Northern Jersey was completely book, even my highly recommended Eye Candy Lash Bar in Jersey City. So i called to see if i did a walk-in i might just be able to get them done, but was informed that it wouldn't be possible, but the receptionist took down my information in case someone called and cancelled.(Mind you this is my first time getting my eyelashes done and i informed the receptionist and even asked for a recommendation on what service i should get). Later that day around 3:30 i got a call back from the receptionist informing me that there was an opening at 5:30. walked-in with my child because mind you it is my first time doing this, i do not know how long it will take, and i was not informed they had a NO KIDS ALLOWED POLICY!!. I drove all the way from Cliffside Park to jersey city and the girl that was suppose to do my eyelashes tell's me WITH AN ATTITUDE THAT SHE WILL NOT DO MY EYELASHES. TO RESCHEDULE!!!! LOLLLLL.....Who Ever you were I know you will see this and as i told you, if you have children and you are a FIRM PARENT!! you will know how to control your kid let him be 4 or 5 if you know how to CONTROL YOUR CHILD why would providing a service be an issue. But I thank you for turning me away I found an amazing convenient spa where i took my child for 1 Hour Without being bothered, had an unbelievable experience while getting my fabulous eyelashes done for the holiday. As one who's been to over 10+ locations in NYC for professional eyelash extensions, this place is definitely rated as my worst experience. I can care less about the final product (the lashes) as well as their prices. What I do care of is the experience I get, along with good customer service, and this was not the place for it. Here are a list of disappointments: 1) I set an appointment at 3:00pm and I wasn't seen until 3:30pm for my technician had to eat lunch. Why set an appointment during her lunch break? 2) As I chose the best "look" for lashes, I wanted a more exotic look, and being that I'm Asian, the technician replied "that's a chinky look to choose. You already have chinky eyes". This is absolutely unacceptable. For there are other ways to approach it without using derogatory terms. 3) I was hoping to relax throughout the procedure, however, the entire time the technician and other employees were gossiping (which seem like in my ear) using excessive profanity. As a new client, this is NOT the experience an customer should go through. It is ghetto and unprofessional. 4) As for the eyelashes, I wanted a more dramatic and voluminous look. I was suggested to purchase a set that cost $125 to achieve that look. Unfortunately, I did not received half of what I paid for. Overall, if you'd like have a relaxing experience during any procedure provided at this location, it is not a place for you. read more

I'll start by saying it's not my first time getting lashes. I usually go to Mimo Lash in Hoboken but wanted to give these people a try. Appointment was at 12 pm I didn't leave until 3:17 pm took forever and then some because supposedly I got the "glamour set". Paid $208 for the first set here in eyelash candy bar. Don't know for what, since they're prices don't reflect that price and the very next DAY AFTER getting my eyelashes done, almost all of them fell out. I called to ask for a refund or a re-do and was given an attitude about the rules and laws of getting your eyelashes done. I explained multiple times that it's not my first time getting lashes and I know how to care for them and was just confused as to why they kept falling out just ONE DAY after getting serviced. I just kept getting blamed and they even went as far as blaming Hoboken for "damaging" my lashes. Needless to say, I went back to Mimo lash in Hoboken. I have added a picture for reference. The top picture is ONE DAY after getting the "glamour set" at eyelash candy bar and the bottom picture is 13 DAYS after getting lashes at Mimo Lash in Hoboken for only $60! I have to go tomorrow on my 14th day for my two week refill and look at the difference. They even have a Groupon for $90 for first timers plus a free two week refill. If they damaged my eyelashes so much I'm not sure what kind of witchcraft they used to make my lashes look so good and last so well after two weeks!!! Another negative about this place is that I had customers walk in during the session at eyelash candy bar and literally in my face because they "wanted information and want to see how it's done". No sort of privacy and only 4 beds and two workers so if you're a walk in... good luck waiting 2-3 hours to get services! At Mimo Lash, they have curtains for privacy and your own section so not everyone walking in is in your face and spa music for relaxation. Workers open up sterile equipment in front of you and if you walk in the most you'll wait is 10 minutes because they have the staff and the beds. I understand everyone has a different experience but for the price I paid and the service I got it's not worth it. Plus the unnecessary attitude and the blaming after requesting a second opinion as to why they fell out was also a downfall. The picture and my wallet speak for themselves. I love this place! it's a quint, cute salon in the middle of Jersey City Heights. It was pretty easy setting up an appointment on their website and I didnt have to wait which is great. I've never had my eyebrows tinted and let me just say Gabriella went beyond my expectations, she did an amazing job! It was quick and painless and just the right color and shape. they look natural :) The price is not bad at all and actually, I saw microblading for only $500 which is a deal! What can I say...this place is chic, comfy and definitely pink!! Sandra ( the owner), Gabby and Sasha are the bomb!! I got my lashes refilled by Sandra 2 weeks ago and again today with Gabby. My lashes are short to nothing but fabulous. I originally got my full set in NYC in a lash place by my office but could never seem to coordinate a time to get in. I called and made an appointment for next day and Sandra was happy to assist me. My refill was better than my original first set( which was not bad from the other place) and literally made an instant decision to continue my business there. The ladies are definitely very skilled and make you feel at home. Eyelash extensions not your thing, well they offer lash perms, micro blading, makeup, teeth whitening and facials. I consulted with Gabby about micro padding and was sold!! Place is convenient to get to and they have metered parking on the street. You can tip with a credit card( awesome) but they prefer cash. I had been going to another place, which had practically ruined my lashes by attaching entirely too many fake lashes to each of my real ones, creating breakage and eyelash loss. After reading the reviews, I decided to check this place out. They were professional, walked me through my options given the state of my original lashes and set expectations. To start off I waited so long for such a simple service with an appointment, eyebrow tinting. Secondly, they were gossiping about a client who had just had a service done with the owner. To specify, they spoke about her pores & possible lip injections. I cannot grasp the lack of professionalism in such a small place. LOVE LOVE LOVE LOVE this place! The atmosphere is fantastic , and they really treat you like royalty here. Champagne , baked goods, comfortable pillows and blankets and more! The staff makes sure to go above and beyond to make sure you not only look great but leave satisfied. The place is super clean and they really do take pride in what they do. I never feel like they are rushing through my eyelashes like most places do. The process takes a while but is high quality and without a doubt worth it. The prices are reasonable and worth it just for the amazing experience you get when going. I always leave there in a great mood. I would highly recommend this place. I went for for deep pore extraction, the place is very nice and comfortable but the facial is not really satisfying . I didnt see the facial cleaning deep , the lady just went over few places on my facial and did the mask for not even 10minutes , I would say whole thing finished for 20minutes ... I wish she cleaned really deep as it mentioned !!!! For the price of 85$ I should get a really good cleaning :( read more
