I hate to leave bad reviews especially during a pandemic that doesn't seem to end but unfortunately Golden Lash was a less than memorable experience for me. I never had gotten eyelash extensions before and after reading the great reviews on Golden Lash, I decided to give them a try. The 40% off for first timers discount also obviously helped me to "take the plunge." The place itself I hate to say is a bit sketchy but I managed to overlook that. It is clean which is a bonus. I don't know her name but a lady was my eyelash technician and she seemed nice enough. She recommended that I go for the higher end lashes since I won't get this discount again and I thought, hey, why not, I might as well treat myself. The time it took for the first appointment was roughly 45 minutes, which is surprising because I've heard it take a lot longer, especially for the first appointment. My eyelashes looked nice enough but not super full afterwards but I didn't think much of it. I adhered to her recommendations of not getting them wet/putting on lotion for 24 hours as well. However, roughly a week later, my eyelashes are basically back to normal. The extensions would literally fall out in clumps, which, after consulting with my girlfriends who get their eyelashes done, isn't normal. In short, I spent a little over $100 including tip (which yes I do know is a fantastic price for lashes). Spent 2 hours for lashes. So the building looks like an apartment building. Top floor, and a little walk later in infront of a door to get these lashes done. The place was clean and quiet once inside. The soothing mood was definitely set. I had to put my belongings and shoes in a plastic bin. She gave me a pillow to lay on and the magic started. Ginger is AMAZING and literally took off my old lashes bc they were too thick (0.20mm) for my fine lashes and the stylist in Miami used too much glue so I had clumps. In October, I decided on Natural lashes because I wanted to look as "natural" as possible (despite all the makeup) on our Big Day. Today I went with slightly longer and more fun Sexy lashes for our upcoming holiday in Cape Town and he did an amazing job once again. He fills in your entire lash line and it looks so voluminous. They're literally perfect. I don't wear lash extensions regularly, but for special occasions, I trust Kevin! P.S. The last set of extensions lasted about 6 weeks. ORIGINAL REVIEW: My makeup artist instructed me to request "wispy" lash extensions for my wedding, and Golden Lash delivered with beautiful, wispy lashes for our Big Day. I received so many compliments on them and even had a few friends ask me whether they were real ... because they were natural enough to seem like they could be my own, but we're just long enough to seem like they couldn't possibly be.
