I have been hesitant to try no chip manicure just because it seems as bad as acrylics in terms of nail damage. I finally gave it a try after seeing a groupon deal at this place. Diva nails is located inside Sunseekers spa. The place looks run down plus I would never go tanning (skin cancer, people!)...but Blanca's little spot in this shop doesn't look too shabby. Blanca did an excellent job on my french manicure. The paraffin wax that was included in the package was kind of a joke, but I am not going to complain. I've been getting tons of compliments from my friends about them. She runs her own shop so she's very busy and booked everyday. Blanca offered me a $20 spa pedicure coupon that could be used until September. Now I kind of wish she would offer the same deal on the gel mani again because I would definitely return for that. I LOVE BLANCA AT DIVA NAILS! Her gelish manicures last twice as long as others due to her attention to detail. You never get that little 'shelf' of dried polish above the cuticle that's so tempting to pick at. She takes her time and is sweet and personable to speak to. Diva nails has recently moved. Blanca is now inside CJ's Spa at 95th and Nall behind Kokopelli's Mexican restaurant. Her prices have not changed, but the salon is less dated, you'll be happy to know. Same Blanca, same awesome manicure, better salon. A visit to Blanca is the way I treat myself. She's worth it. :) read more

So glad I found Blanca! I went here with a Groupon and have become a fan. I'm addicted to gel polish for my nails and was paying an absurd amount to maintain them at Polished downtown. And when I want a social, urban mani/pedi with friends, Polished is still at the top of my list (I mean, you can bring your own booze!) But Diva Nails fits into my routine much better. So lots of girls at work get their "nails" done. I had never had mine done. I bought a Groupon for a gel manicure and now I am hooked. Blanca is the best! I pre-book my appointments on-line, which is so convenient and I get my preferred time! Her schedule is booked out in advance - I know this - so I have booked appointments for 3 months in the future. Being new to "nails" I had no idea what to expect and decided I wanted to have fun with them some of the time. Blanca has done "designs" for me including a breast cancer awareness, Monster University's Mike, and this week - Kansas City Chiefs. My nails always look great for at least 2 weeks. I have complements every week at the stores in the checkout lines! "Wow - love your nails" "Your nails are amazing" "Oh my gosh look how fun your nails are!" Before I knew that I needed to pre-book my appointments I ventured to a couple other nail salons, and there was no comparison. Chipping, the gel shelf that makes you want to pick at it. Blanca also did my first pedicure for when I was attending a breast cancer dinner and raffle. She made the breast cancer ribbon on my big toes out of little gems, and they lasted weeks! This is a one-woman nail salon inside a tanning shop; there's no signage on the building for the nail place, so just look for the tanning sign. Nothing particularly fancy, but she did a nice job on my gel nails. She also has a pedicure tub/chair, which I didn't try, but I intend to next time. She does not take walk-ins and she books up fairly quickly, so call well in advance. read more

Blanca is as pleasant as she is talented. I had quit gel manicures years ago because they ruined my nails, but Blanca manages to do a beautiful long-lasting gel manicure without hurting my nails. Her pedicures are every bit as good too. Could not recommend her more highly. read more

I really enjoyed my experience at Diva Nails. I bought a Groupon for a basic gel manicure and used it before my wedding. Blanca did a great job and I will absolutely return. She is very reasonably priced and doesn't rush. I have been to other nail salons where it seems they are trying to get you out of there as soon as possible... which of course leads to a sloppy job. Blanca makes sure each coat of polish is perfect before moving on to the next step. She operates inside Sunseekers Tanning Salon, and even though the salon itself isn't beautiful, I will return because Blanca does a very nice job with nails. read more

I had an expired Groupon so I had to pay the difference for a basic manicure, but Bianca did an excellent job and upgraded me for no extra charge. She also gave me her business card with deals for future services at discounted prices. She is busy; her schedule fills up quickly so you have to plan ahead. I will definitely go back. read more

Per the reviews, this sounds like a great place. However, their customer service/focus is the worst. I purchased a groupon and 2 months prior to the expiration date, they had no appointment times available. And were unwilling to extend the expiration date so that it the full groupon could be used. I guess they don't need new customers as they certainly made themselves unavailable. read more

Purchased a groupon. Very difficult to schedule an appointment, and very disappointing I was unable to schedule my pedicure and manicure in the same day. Overall, I have felt that the service is unfriendly, rude and inflexible. I wish I had never purchased the groupon and now am stuck with it. read more

I called this place nearly a month out from the expiration for a groupon and they do not have ANY availability to get in within the next 26 days. They also said that you can only get what you paid for the groupon in value, as opposed to extending the offering (like most other businesses that set their cap too high on Groupon). I feel that this is a very poor way to run a business. It is certainly not my fault they they sold too many groupons and do not run their business properly. While I never write reviews, I can definitely tell you that they will not be getting any (more) of my money. They should do what's right and extend the offer since they do not have the staff to accomodate the demand. read more
