They take their time and make sure that everything is exactly to your liking. From nail length to shape to color to the details of the designs, they are checking in with you every step of the way. The tech who did my beautiful nails this time around was so patient and careful. I really regret not catching their name. I got Gel X nails done in an almond shape with designs. They took the time to mix colors to give the stems more depth. The stems!! Even I wasn't thinking about the stems. It really shows you how passionate they are about their craft. It's situated in a really convenient location. It's a really big and open space, so you never feel cramped. They recently did renovations, and it's got a very minimalist feel to it which I love. Whoever is on aux deserves a raise because it's always so fun in there. My absolute favorite place to get my nails done!

Not happy about that either, but that's a different review. The whole thing was ridiculous. Why didn't she just do as I asked?!?!

This is my "but" I was so disappointed, today, with the constant up selling. It was more pushy than usual. No means no. It doesn't mean keep asking until I coerce you into it. Also, when a client asks if a product has an ingredient, don't just say oh no it doesn't. Thankfully I looked at the packaging and saw all of them had the ingredient I was allergic to. Had I listened to the man who said no it doesn't have it, I would have ended up in the ER. Anaphylactic shock is not something to roll the dice over. I love this salon and location. This is a learning experience. Take the few minutes to hear your client so you can accommodate them properly. And when they say no to the upsell, don't try and make them feel bad. Maybe they only have a certain amount and if they did the higher price service you could be screwed out of a tip. Respect goes a long way. It could even make you get a bigger tip. If you go, your nails will be done excellent. The rest of my babbling is for the owner or manager.

They just got new owners so... but I've learned my lesson. No more.

I usually never comment on the reviews of others and just share my personal reviews; however, I saw…read morethese reviews about Real Tech Nails and therefore, I feel obliged. To begin, I'm slightly over 60 and I used to Model, am in the field of fashion. I'm very, very particular. About 3 yrs ago, this Nail Salon came recommended to me by a friend when I shared that the salon I'd gone to for years was being late for my appts, noisy children were allowed to run about...so that my quiet, quality serviced time was no longer. My first visit was a good one and I thought, "Okay, I could probably come back here"! Well there were a few times in the last few years that I'd need Mani/Pedi while out of town on business (Chicago, Dallas, L.A., Denver, etc.) and had not been 100% satisfied...for various reasons...$$, quality of staff service for the $$, location, etc. Nonetheless, I didn't think it was fair to give a review that wasn't favorable". Real Tech is wonderful! The "man" that the earlier review referred to has to just being MEAN SPIRITED! I'm in the salon at least twice a month without fail and I've seen customers be rude to both owners and they just take it! Women have walked in with nail issues from other salons, wanting Real Tech Nail Salon to "wave a magic wand", when actually these women don't realize that going to get your nails done every few months is not good care and CAN create a process that is more time consuming and cost more; yet they complain, etc.. Well, as a regular client, I wish they'd find some other place to go, because people at Real Tech we say hello, chat with one another (even though we don't know each other). The prices...they actually don't charge us enough!!! Seriously, their quality of work is easily worth $5 to $10 more that are the charges at other salons here in the Overland Park area. As long as they're in business, "I'll be a customer"!! Thank you Mr & Mrs (Owners), I Love How you've maintained my hands, nails & feet!! PS: I was curious, so I just looked at the reviews from one of the people who gave Real Tech Nail Salon 1 Star...this person has traveled from Salon to Salon here in the Olathe/Overland Park area and has not been pleased with or found something wrong with them also. Makes you go Hmmmmmmm #unfairtoallthesebusinesses #ridiculous As a business owner also, I ask, what recourse do WE have against people like this!!! I'm Done!!
