do not go to diva nails in milbrae. i went in and got seen soon after because there were only two clients. one lady was doing my pedicure and i am very ticklish so i asked her to do the out part of my foot and she did it for two seconds. my outer portion was still ruff and i said you can do more. she didn't so i got a half ass job. then she started a pedicure next to me. why didn't she do my manicure???? ill tell you why....because they want to suck your money. i think the lady with glasses was in charge (the owner). she spoke from across the room with my credit card asking how much tips i want to leave. first of all how unprofessional is that!! i said $2.00 because im only tipping one person plus i wanted to hear their reaction and boy did i. i understand the vietnamese language. i lived with them and because im white she would never of known it. but all of a sudden they started laughing and turning aroud to look at me. before you know it they all were laughing. they were talking about me on how cheap they thought i was. i could of gave the owner a tip too. but not after their words and action. these bitches never know but they cannot even wait for a client to leave. to talk shit. i was pissed. the owner gave the pedicure worker the two dollars and she was sitting right in front of me on the chair to my right doing another ladys manicure when she received it she gave me a dirty look and the bitch didnt say thank you. i should of asked for it back. bitches. these ladies talk hella shit about the customers. do not go there. go somewhere else where they appreciate you. do you know the owner should never get tips. read more

As I walk in I see stacks of boxes everywhere that should have been an indication not to go here. My pedicure was nice but the chairs were not comfortable whatsoever. Then I moved onto my gel manicure and at first Trish was shaping them and did a fine job but I needed two of my nails to be fixed because they were uneven so another nail technician comes over and changes the shape of all of my nails. I am very disappointed with this manicure and that the technician didn't listen to me after telling her several times what I wanted but she used the excuse "everyone shapes nails different". The new salon is beautiful and spacious. I used to go get my nails don at Tanforan at DaVi, but the ladies here are much nicer and way more friendly. The space is beautiful and so are the Comoros options. I love the new pedicure chairs. The owner is so nice too! HORRIBLE. PLEASE READ BEFORE YOU GO TO THIS SALON. I don't like to start off the New Year with bad reviews, but I don't want other customers to experience poor service and pure DISRESPECT that I received at this salon. If I could give them 0 stars, I would most certainly do so. My friend and I came in here late Saturday afternoon to get our shellac manicures done just in time for New Year celebrations. I previously had red shellac on and was careful to take it off at home before coming here. My friend and I were seated side by side and we were chatting away not paying much attention to what was happening. Both manicure ladies did not inquire how we wanted our nails shaped, what length and etc. 5 minutes into it, my lady told me to go wash my hands and that I was ready to have my polish put on. I looked at my nails and I was horrified, not only was it misshaped, with remains of old clear nail polish but she has not even touched the cuticles! Red Flag #1. I politely asked for her to remove the cuticle to which she told me "go home and put lotion on" and began to rudely talk in Vietnamese to her boss (Trisha) who was sitting next to me. I asked her again and she rolled her eyes and worked on it for a little bit while glaring at me and obviously talking about me in a different language to her boss. TALK ABOUT RUDE! Next, I went and washed my hands and she began applying the polishes for my French-tips. Everytime I would try to look at my nails, I would get growled at by her, telling me to stick my hands back under the UV light. Red Flag #2. Finally when I got a glimpse of my nails, I was horrified even further. My french tips looked like someone took a think marker and just smudged thick white lines across my nails. I like my french tips thin, delicate and very feminine, and I politely told her that I did not like it and if she could please touch it up to make it what I am asking for. Red Flag #3 - more talking in Vietnamese followed by rolling of the eyes and dirty looks. Finally she finished it and I was told that I am done and i can pay. I did not get a hand massage or a hot towel that they usually do. Mind you, my friend's lady was not even done removing her cuticles, while my lady was rushing me out of the chair to get to the next customer. In fact, she finished my nails and another customer's nails during the time that it took her co-worker to do my friend's nails. Obviously poor work ethic. But it gets even worse. As I sat down next to my friend and began looking at my hands, I saw that there were still remains of red shellac that I did not remove still on the sides of each nail, that the manicurist failed to remove. Not wanting to deal with the rude manners of the lady who serviced me, I went up straight to the manager and showed her the poor job that was done. She told me that it was not her fault and that they could not do anything. I was blown away! A Nail Salon that cannot remove nail polish? They must be in the wrong business if that is the case. After seeing how upset I was, she offered to redo my nails herself. I agreed and we sat down again. The lady who helped me before (too bad I did not get her name), began talking to me as to why I did not like it, I showed her the remains of red shellac and said that she rushed me out of the chair and obviously did a poor job, to which i was blatantly called "you are a liar." She then proceed to obviously talk about me to her manager who was now redoing my nails. I asked her to please not talk about me in a different language that I could not understand and she said "you wish" and continued glaring at me and talking to her manager. Trisha, the manager, did not stop her or try to fix the situation, but instead just kept working on my nails. NO CLASS, NO TACT, AND HORRIBLE SERVICE. The situation should have been nipped in the bud and the manager should have checked the manicurist then and there because no customer should be addressed like that ever, but she chose not to. Red Flag #4. Trisha finished my nails and I was happy with how it looked. I even ended up tipping her because I felt bad for the experience even though I was the customer who was poorly treated. The nails did not last even 2 days. The next day, I saw several cracks and chips on the nails and had to go to a different salon to get them re-done. Moral of the story is: If you do not want to waste 2 hours and 30$+ on manicure that does not last you even 2 days, then FIND ANOTHER SALON. Not only will you be wasting your money and time here, but you will also be INSULTED. My friend witnessed it all and was blown away by the poor service that we received. This place should be put out of business, since they have NO RESPECT for their customers. read more

After much searching I have finally found a place to get my nails done all the time! I usually go to California Nail Salon but it started getting a drag to go out there and find parking. So i found this place when I was with my sister (she lives in Millbrae). This place is actually REALLY REALLY NICE and CLEAN. You would actually think it was a higher end salon that cost like $50 for a pedicure, but its costs only $22. The people who work there and the owner are all very very friendly too. As much as I like Trish, I had to find a new salon when I would go in for a fill it was hit and miss. Sometimes she would do a great job but then the last 3-4 times I was not happy at all. My niece turned me on to this place and I've had gel manicures done here, not often, only a few times . . . but was impressed with the professionalism of the owner, Trish, and her command of the staff, e.g. she somehow keeps a simultaneous eye on all the jobs being done. I've loved my mani's and once, when one of the manicurists was doing my nails, she was making the rounds and did a quick check, making sure that the beautician kept my nails under the light a bit longer. I also loved that even though they don't make a practice of pushing cuticles back, in my case she did exactly that, explaining "I'm doing this only because you need it," which sadly was true :-) Their prices are more reasonable than elsewhere in the area, the salon is clean and given the interior alley location, it's also relatively quiet. read more

Finally writing my review after a few visits. The first visit was great the staff was nice, clean place and although they were busy they still had time to get a shellac polish and a pedicure. However a couple of nails did chip aftere having explained to them that I'm very rough with my nails and in the past have found if they did the tips a bit thicker it would last longer. Regardless, Trisha took me right away and fixed the nails. Although it was inconvienent to have to go back and spend the time there, I was indecisive if I wanted to try again. I did however try again and have been happy with the job done and they lasted longer than I expected. I also agree with the other yelpers that they do clean (I was there before closing and watched them cleaning the sir filters and so forth) and their massage chair is much better than most, plus I like their little feet/ankle adjustable stands when getting your pedicure it's much more comfortable. I forgot to add that the price was reasonable and now closer to we're I live, for the shellac polish it's $25 and if you get a pedicure at the same time it's $20. So $45 total not including tip is a great price since I have paid more at other places and the least expensive was a special for $20... Overall I would recommend the salon especially since I am so very picky about my nails, or services with limited time to waste.... read more

Decent nail salon. When I get manicure/pedicures, its my time to relax and unwind. I don't like to stare at clutter and horrible wall decor. This place is a step up. It has nice decor and up to date equipment and chairs. Although, the chair massage was not all that. The ladies are very pleasant. Not talking to each other back and forth like other shops. The only thing that actually bothered me was the smell. It was to stuffy with no air circulation and overwhelming candle and air freshener scents. read more

I went to Diva Nails about 3 weeks ago for my first time. The atmosphere was very relaxing and pleasant. I had an acrylic fill which was ok. The lady was nice. The polish started fading after a week and the acrylic started to lift from my natural nails which normally would not. I also had a pedicure. The massage was nice and she did a good job on the polish. Unfortunately, she did not remove the dry skin or "clean" my nails as other salons usually do. Went and had a mani and pedi last week. Let me just say they completed both services in under 1/2 hour. I have never had so little time spent on these services, especially a pedi. My manicure consisted of a 1 minute soak, quick cuticle push back, quickie massage, and color. Now I don't want to sit forever, but really, 1/2 hour? I gave them 1 star because their massage chairs are great!! Also, is there a salon out there that doesn't have their staff talk to each other in their own language. Most customers find it rude. . Hands down the best nail salon in the Bay Area! I was tired of the salon I use to go to, so I decided to try new places in millbrae, San Bruno and Burlingame. Since then I have been going to Diva Nail salon and have no interest in going anywhere else. I always get acrylics and occasionally a pedicure and have never had a problem. Trish is absolutely amazing with my acrylics. I have had just about everyone give me a pedicure there and they are all very talented! The salon is very clean, everyone is so nice and friendly and actually have conversations with me unlike any salon I've been to in the past. This is definitely my dream salon! I went twice today to get my nails done, first she asked me to come later cause no time at noon, she set my appointment at 5 pm. I went back at 5 and waited for 35 min and nothing happened. I have been to the salon twice. On my last visit, I had a terrible experience with the owner. She was very rude and aggressive. She did a terrible job of a manicure. She treats you as you are very lucky that she is willing to do your nails as though she is doing this for free. I am a paying customer and deserve to be treated with some respect and professionalism. And if you tell her how you would like your nails to be done, she gives you a dirty look and starts speaking to the workers in Vietnamese. Avoid that nails salon at all costs. I stumbled across this nail shop one day on my lunch because I desperately needed my nails done and I knew I would have no time after work, first of all when I walked in everyone acknowledged me right away and were very helpful on what I needed, then Trish started a conversation with me getting to know me and where I worked etc. they had me out of there in less than a hour and I was still able to grab lunch! No rush jobs and massage your hands with care when you get a manicure.
