There were a few other customers and everyone was chatting pleasantly. I was helped immediately and all of the women were kind to me. I got a gel manicure and the woman helping me was patient as I sorted through the colors and decided to get something different on each hand. I didn't like one of the colors that I had initially picked (the pinks never show up true to the sample!). She took it off and tried another two colors for me until we found the perfect shade. The best part...$25! I decided that I needed a brow wax part way through my manicure and they were happy to oblige. The wax was quick, painless, and probably the best that I had gotten in a while. I was given a spa manicure and pedicure as a going away gift from my cousin and she brought me to this place because she is a regular and Trish was her buddy. We went in and it looked clean and didnt smell "nail salon-ish".. Well ventilated salon. The salon had visible counters for the "tools" sterlization area which was a plus for me since Im big on cleanliness and hygiene on shared tools in a nail salon. Trish was introduced to me assuming she was going to do my manicure and pedicure.. She is a friendly person. However she sent me to a younger gal to start me off I was assuming. Trish looked at my nails and she recommended Shellac at first. Later on she changed her mind perhaps the timing and they suggested regular manicured nails instead. The young lady who did my nails I later found out was her 1st day there and I was being serviced by a newbie in the salon in which I didn't care for. I actually wanted Trish to service me because she always does my cousin's nails. They have the BEST MASSAGE CHAIRS ever! The chairs really gives u a DEEP TISSUE massage way better than a human masseuse! The staff here are all friendly based on observant and it seemed like they have regular clients coming back for more service. The price isnt bad for what you get. I got the $40 feet and hands service. Let's talk about my service with the sweet young lady. She was good at the massages however her white tips and cleaning underneath the nails were POOR imo. She made my left thumb finger semi bleed because she cleaned it too deep with her tool. When you clean it too deep you make the underneath tissue bleed and it was semi painful. The white tips, She used LA COLORS white design polish. The ones I see at the Dollar Tree Store. This is the polish you use for nail art designs. So her labor work on the white tips I wasnt used to. Her tips was also not very "clean" meaning I have blank spots on the "sides" of my white tips. Not very precised per say? Ive had better looking french manicures elsewhere however the gal was sweet - She talked about her engagement and wasnt sure about marriage as yet because she is still young and her fiance is ton yrs older than her. My cousin and I adviced her a man would not change for the better if he is worse now in a "relationship". She said she hopes he will change. I wished her luck prior to em leaving because I can tell she is not ready and is forced to get married at such a young age. If I ever go back to this Salon , I would request Trish the partial owner of this salon for better service. read more

I was really excited to see that they expanded in Millbrae and the renovation looked great! The space is bright and clean. I got a hologram gel manicure and the service was good, my nails looked great for the first 1.5 days but it's been 3 days and I'm experiencing discoloration at the tip. So i met this technician named trish who did not hesitate to accommodate and help me even though she was busy. She did her best to trim and file my nails and made sure it was the length i wanted. I got a mani-pedi here with my friend because I was having a bad day. Trish took care of my manicure (and she made me feel better after my bad day - she's so sweet.. like one of your homegirls). I got the shellac nail polish. It's perfect! One of Trish's ladies took care of my pedicure. I had a broken nail on one of my big toes, and she still managed to make it look whole! :D They don't do shellac on your feet, but they were able to find a color that matched my fingernails. :) The shellac manicure is so perfect. It's been a month, and my nails have grown out. I haven't removed my manicure yet, and it's still perfect! read more

Money grubbing crew. Called at ten to make an appointment for a Brazilian was. They told me to come at 11:30. The main lady boss asks the girl who does wax's if she was almost done with her client. She turns and says about 8 minutes ok? I wasn't ok with that. I ask her directly if she could do the wax and she says she doesn't do them. Then I asked her if the girl who does the wax started that appointment at 11:25 and she said she didn't know. They bank in drop ins. That's fine. I've been here twice. Gel mani + regular pedi. Happy with the results. Like that is close to Safeway, Dean's, UPS, the bank, and coffee, so I can take care of other errands. The space is large and I found it chilly the first time I went, but it was better today. To be fair, I feel this way about 3 other nail salons in Millbrae and San Bruno. As Trish would say I am picky... and I can honestly say Diva Nail salon does their absolute best to give you exactly want you want. I dropped a weight on my toe and they we're able to put a thin layer of acrylic until it grows out. I've been coming to Trish for years and she really does treat her customers like family. I moved here from Seattle about 2 years ago. When I got here I started my hunt for my new nail technician. I had gone to about 30 different spots across the Bay Area. None quite worked out, either I'd get a chip, nail falls off, or the polish was just sloppy. That is until I found this place! I almost selfishly don't want to write a review as I want to keep this gem to myself but I must give credit where credit is due. The first time I went, I went with a coworker who introduced me to the place. I sat down with her to get a full set by Trish, the owner, and she did a stand up job. I left feeling great. My nails looked perfect. Over time the nails did fall off or chip! Does Trisha have some magic glue other places haven't heard of? No. Just PURE TALENT! To top it off, I went back for my fill and having only been there once, Trish remembered my name, who I came in with, and what services I had done the time before. My sister and I tried this place today for the first time. I have to say it was VERY clean, and my nails came out great! I liked that when they did the massage on my hands for my manicure they used oil instead of lotion which the other salons I went to would used. This is the first time I can actually use my hands regular instead of carefully for them to dry since they let the coats dry between each one. The price was $2 more than I usually pay but for the cleanliness and nicest staff it was well work it! read more

They treat me so well, without making me feel like a burden (that is hard to find in the service industry. I love Diva Nails. Trish and Joan (owners) are very friendly and accomodating. And Trish is a crack up. My mom goes to her for her gels and she does great work. Joan does amazing air brushing. I've gotten pedicures (and a few manicures) from a few different girls there and haven't gotten a bad one yet. Jenny and Terri are my favorites. Love. Love. Love. This salon. I come in during weird times and have never had to wait more than 10 minutes. Most of the time it's just me, another customer and the girls. I love how clean everything is and that you get new stuff. I was in here once at closing and they spray everything down with cleanser. If you get pink and white, ask for the pearl pink. **update 8/24/07** I''m heading to Vegas next week and you know that ugly wax burn I have? Well, it scarred in one section, some of the burned skin fell off so now it's raw and pink. GROSS. Makes me not want to hang out by the pool. Dropping them a star.. Until I get out of my comfort zone and find a different place that's convenient and reasonably priced, I'll use Diva Nails for my eyebrow, lip and occassional bikini wax. It's clean, convenient and Trish and the staff are friendly. The only thing makes me uncomfortable is when they are speaking Vietnamese to each other, I wonder if they are talking about me. hmmmm. Have you seen that Angelah Johnson video on YouTube? Well, she nailed it on the head with this place. I thought I was special when they asked about my bf and all. After watching that video. I guess I'm not. LOL Anyways, I know I should spend the extra money and go to a day spa for the waxing, but when you are trying to save your money for other things, one will endure the chop shop once every so often. I've been good at keeping up my eyebrows, so until last Friday, I haven't gone in since February. They always shape my eyebrows the way I want it. Never too thin, never crooked. However, they are inconsistent when it comes to painful waxes. Somedays they are so painful, it brings tears to my eyes and a really red irritated brow. Other days they are not so painful. I was there last week and my eyebrows and lip was OK. BUT, I have a wax burn mark about an inch long in that section of my inner thigh that attaches to my pelvis (am I making sense?). It's NOT nice. Time for me find other places on yelp about some other hair remove/wax/chop shop places. But as for the pedi/manis - I think they did a really good job when I used to come regularly for my tips and pedicures (which is why I'm giving them 3 stars instead of 2). read more

Yes this place gets busy , yes, sometimes we need to wait especially on a weekend when all of us have some "important" event to attend and we want to look perfect. All I can say is HANDS DOWN. Great Customer service and the fact they know you by name and remember snippets of what you spoke about previously... that's an A in my book. This place is awesome. Im in Millbrae, CA. training for work so I don't get finished until after 5:30. I needed my nails done urgently because a few broke off. You can see how, being in town with business training 8am-5:30 pm this could be quite a hindrance. I found them on Google, called, and the manager said she would stay open for me to come in. They were quick, not at all expensive ($35 in California for a new, full set of acrylics is a great deal to me). All the workers were so nice. They told me if any of my nails fall of- come back and they'll replace free of charge. I will definitely return for a fill before I leave Cali. Great job ladies!! read more

Where oh where to begin. Please do not come here, trust me, spend your hard earn money elsewhere. First off, they do a half ass job on manicures. They don't fully do all the steps for a proper manicure and they don't fully coat your nail with polish. It looks like your manicure has been on for a week. I like to get gel manicures because of the longevity, but when I get it here I can only have it on for 2 weeks maximum because of the "over grown" mani they give me in the first place. Second off, they treat their customers like trash. They instantly start talking about each customer right when they turn away to leave. They don't even wait for you to leave. I know this because I went with a friend who spoke/understands Vietnamese. Third off, if they don't like you they don't value you as a customer. I recently went in as a walk in and the owner told me that they could take me, but I had to wait a little bit. Which, I completely understood. But, what I didn't understand is that why did 5 people who walked in after me, who didn't have an appointment, got their manicures/pedicures before me. I spoke up after two people got helped before I did and the owner just said that it was because they knew what color they wanted and they would be fast. I continued to wait because I really needed to get my nails done. When it finally looked like I was next, the owner went and helped another person who got there after me yet AGAIN! At this point, I had been waiting for an hour and 10 mins. I wasn't going to pay them for this type of service, especially a service that would have been complete shit. I just walked out and didn't look back. I can guarantee that they talked about me. I'm taking my time and money elsewhere, and you should too! read more
