I went to get a tattoo and I wasn't happy because it wasn't exactly like my picture I brought in . it was a tattoo of a rosary on my finger . I liked the tattoo but I wanted it to be more connected like my picture . the tattoo artists told me if they added more dots it would fall out after a period of time and they really didn't want to do it . but I was told when I went for my appointment so I really didn't have much time to think about the change I was expecting it to at least look attached . so I called the shop and told them how I felt . they told me to go in and made an appointment for me . so when I went in all the tattoo artist was suppose to do is add two more dots on the inside of my finger and they never told me that I would be charged again the same price as when I went in the first so I got charge 135 dollars for two dots the same amount as the orginal cost for the tattoo . so I ended up paying 270 for a tattoo that should of only cost me 135 at no time did anyone tell me there as going to be a charge . absolutely pissed off the girl told me oh the guy never told me no not even the girl at the front desk when she made my appointment. I feel like I got ripped off as nobody told me about paying again . I thought because she never did it like I wanted I could go back and add the two dots at no cost . as I was not totally satisfied with my tattoo . no it's really weird nobody seemed to want me to know until after I got the tattoo the girl told me she was coming with me ?? and the girl said it's going to be 135 dollars for two dots . Steve is always willing to hear ideas and give an honest opinion- no "whatever you want, wherever you want it" crap. If he loves your design idea he'll share his enthusiasm to get started. If he thinks it would be better in a different spot or with a different approach, he'll be blunt and tell you how it is. You can trust that his main goal is to be sure you walk away in love with your new ink, and I'm so glad I listened to him about the placement of my first tattoo! As for specialty- look at his portfolio! He does amazing detail and line work and his coloring is spectacular. I find them much better than the salons in the mall across the street. Price is reasonable too - especially compared to what I'm used to paying back in T.O. It was my first time here and the experience left me pretty unsatisfied. My haircut felt very…read morerushed, which I think was because the barber had a long time client waiting so he just wanted to be done with me, and my haircut definitely shows. The most important (and only time consuming) part of my cut is a skin fade, but the guy spent maybe all of 10 minutes on it. He worked very quickly and didn't seem like he was bothering with details, and as a result my 2 sides are uneven with each other, as well as not being uniform. In addition, the guy never pulled out a mirror to show me the back of my head, and either didn't notice or care about my baby hairs, which I had wanted trimmed. I realized both these things after I left the shop so I guess I should have asked but at any decent barbershop this is standard practice. no offer was made for product/styling. Also, I don't care for conversation with my barbers but this guy didn't try to say a single word to me. As for any pros, the place itself is nice, small but well lit, and clean. There's a paid parking lot right across the street. Price is okay, $20 for regular cut $17 for students. I'm willing to believe that this place is decent and i just had a bad experience due to the number of positive reviews I've seen on Facebook. However, I am not encouraged by what seemed like a clear example of not caring about new customers because a long time client is in.
