First impression: this place looks a lot fancier than other tattoo/piercing locations. As in, its open, spacious, has large screen monitors, hardwood floors, earrings in lit up displays, curtained off individual rooms, a nice bathroom etc. I was expecting a very decent experience. Firstly, it took a while before I got someones attention to let them know I was there for an inner conch piercing. Then, the person who gave me the consent form just left to serve another customer which was OK but she never came back to check on me. I had to wait a while longer for someone else to take the form and payment. Its $30 plus tax so It was a lot pricier than my other piercings. This is the most off putting part. I had to wait TWO HOURS when I was told a few minutes. I mean I waited before at another location but they gave me a good time estimate and I could walk around and come back. They don't have free guest wifi either. There was one piercer. I heard a lot of customers around me asking the receptionist to check how many people were in front of them and they were also complaining about the long wait. During piercings and in between patients, the piercer would chat with other employees so it increased waiting even more. Keep in mind I believe the other place had just as many customers but just way higher efficiency. The piercing itself was quite comparable to my others I guess. Everything seemed sterilized and she marked where the piercing would be beforehand. Inner conch hurt the most and healing does suck. I would just much rather have a piercing done well, fast and relatively inexpensive rather than getting the slight perk of a pretty ambiance. read more

Got my ears pierced for the first time here on Wednesday. The piercer was pretty rude, she knew it was my first time getting my ears pierced and did not explain any aftercare steps whatsoever. The piercing jewelry is also ... not great. There were two options, either ugly metal studs and ugly metal hoops. I ended up paying $80 for the studs + piercing, which seems pretty pricy (I also have no idea what metal the studs are made out of, forgot to ask and they didn't explain). All in all, not a great experience at all, ugly expensive jewelry and really rude piecers. read more

Was pretty disappointed. Simple piercing. She didn't measure to make sure they were symmetrical, and I also wanted them as high as possible so lobes wouldn't pull. They are not symmetrical and are way too low on lobe. She seemed in a huge hurry and wasn't professional. read more

I brought my son to the studio for his 17th birthday - he wanted an industrial bar but was very clear that if there was any problem with the ear anatomy that he would get something else. The piercer dismissed one ear but said the other was fine. Pictures of the day show that the bar was pressed against the inside of the ear from the start (which I didn't know was a problem bc I trusted the piercer). They sent us on our way and my son took very good care of it, having no problems until the bar started to dig into the inside of the ear. This was not due to swelling but 100% due to piercer error. We went back in where they proceeded to tell us it wasn't their fault and they would not give us any kind of refund. All they could do was take it out, which they did, and now my son has no piercing and I am out over $100. I highly do NOT recommend Perfect Image. They put my son through pain and stress and disappointment for no reason, and he had explicitly expressed he would get something else if it wouldn't work. We were lied to and now my son is paying the price. Avoid at all costs! read more

Came here and got a cartilage (helix) piercing done while they were doing their summer promo ($30 for any piercing). Piercings are walk-in only, so you might have to wait. There was a group of 3 girls getting their belly buttons pierced before me, so I probably sat around waiting for about 15-20 mins. I was pleasantly surprised by the location, which was a lot larger and brighter than I expected and thankfully looked very clean. I felt at ease going in. In terms of my piercing experience, it was actually excellent. The girl who pierced me was very professional, knowledgeable and friendly, she told me exactly what to expect and made me feel relaxed. The process was super quick and painless. She also gave me advice on products to use to clean the piercing, which can also be purchased here. I've had no problems with the healing so far, and actually had such a good piercing experience that I considered going back again soon afterwards to get my tragus done (but ultimately decided to postpone it.) Overall would recommend this place for piercing! Could be quite pricey if they're not doing the promo, but I believe they continue to do $30 piercings on Wednesdays all year round :D read more

I have been here to get my belly and ear pierced couple of times now. Turns out, they switch piercers frequently. I have had bad experiences with the attitude and rudeness of the people working at the front desks. I came here on Wednesday to get my nose stud changed. I had such a terrible experience. I bought a stud and a ring and I requested to get my current stud switched with the rings. First off, she didn't sterilize the jewelry. Huge warning signs here. I have been to other piercing parlors downtown Toronto and all their jewelry came in a prepackaged bag, sterilized. For me, I watched the people at the front touch it with their bare hands put it in a bag as if it were clean for me. I assumed the piercer would sterilize it before putting it on me. But don't assume that here. I went into the piercing room, was told rudely to sit down. The piercer throws on some gloves and quite literally harshly pulled my old jewelry out of my nose and told me that it shouldn't be hurting. Before i even had a chance to collect myself (it was really, really painful). She forced the new, sterilized jewelry into my nose. At that point, i was in tears. She also made huge remarks about how they (previous piercers) don't use the same jewelry here. I suppose she had to prove that their jewelries were better by deliberately and forcefully switch my piercing? I left in pain. I felt like/know that she really doesn't care about me or my piercing and just wanted to "get it over with", a good example of poor customer service. Overall, I should have listened to all the people who told me to avoid PI Waterloo. Don't expect any kind of care. Do not take your chances despite their convenient location. I suggest taking the time to go somewhere decent instead. Probably never returning here ever again and I won't recommend a friend this place. read more

I've had my 2 piercings done with Perfect Image and the first was my belly button and I was happy with that. The girl who pierced me was nice and patient. It was my first body piercing so I was nervous. My second piercing was my nipple and I got this guy with the long beard with tattoos. I don't know if he hates his life or job but he's miserable and rude. I was more nervous about this piercing than belly button and he wouldn't let anyone that day be accompanied by their friends. Almost EVERY one who came in for a piercing brought a friend for support and no one was allowed in. I get if there's no room...but there's plenty of room in there and my friend was with me in the room when I got my belly button pierced. I was shaking out of nerves for this piercing and he just bluntly told me to stand still and sit and he pierced it right away without letting me see his markings for placement. No comfort, no aftercare talk except for wash with unscented soap for 6weeks. I'm just disappointed with the experience. The piercing in the end is fine but I won't go back regardless of the $30 deal offer. I'll spend extra money for better experience and expertise. read more

this place is absolutely horrible I do not recommend going there ever. They are so rude and they judge you so much. The male piercer here with the long beard is always so rude. He changed my tongue piercing a while ago and was making me feel stupid the whole time because I didn't stick my tongue out enough. He pierced my helix and I ended up having to go to get it fixed at a different parlour and turns out he used the wrong jewelry and pierced a bad spot. Jesse from Thrive said it looked like whoever did the piercing was inexperienced. I just went with my friend and he basically insulted her out of getting anything done that day. But the biggest thing is that he is such a jerk to the customers. The girl with him at the counter looked super apologetic as we were leaving. I have gotten five piercings done at perfect image and I used to love it but I will never go back as long as he is the one working. If you go there and he is your piercer I seriously recommend you backup and go somewhere else. read more

I went in to buy some jewelry for my navel piercing. It is rather shallow so I was looking for a small captive bead ring and a barbell with a shorter post. The woman behind the counter seemed bored with my questions and acted like I was an inconvenience....rude. I asked her if they had more stock in the shop and she said yes then made no move to find it or show it to me....even more rude. I bought 2 pieces and they came to $50 before taxes PLUS they charged a $1 DEBIT FEE and absolutely DID NOT inform me about this extra charge....not cool on principle alone, and that's probably a violation of some consumer rule. I thought it was a sneaky cash grab to cover the cost of their debit machine.....lame. They are located by the 2 Waterloo Universities and those kids don't carry cash! Their body jewelry selection was limited and expensive, weird considering they specialize in PIERCING, however the quality was good on the pieces I bought. I do like what I bought but won't go back due to their bad customer service and practices, incredibly rude staff and pathetic selection of body jewelry. I should have walked out. read more

So me and my boyfriend went here to get piercings in december of 2017 and I got my cartlige (helix) and my rook pierced and he got his 2 ear holes pierced and we have had only problems ever since!! My helix was healing and it looked constantly swollen until it was 1 year later and I realized that it's pierced CROOKED and my ear constantly looks fat because of it, then there was my rook problem about 7 months after the piercing there was so much pain that when I slept on the side it was pierced on I would cry, I had to go to the doctor and get steroid cream. Now onto my boyfriends piercings, just regular old ear piercings, what can go wrong right? WRONG. He got pierced with those earings that they use for my cartlidge which is infact wrong and they wouldnt allow us to use any other jewlery and i have pierced multiple people and ears before I know thats wrong. Well since he had to leave those guage earings in now hes gone through hundreds of dollars worth of earings because the HOLE IS TO BIG FOR NORMAL EARINGS and the holes are so big the backings get stuck INSIDE HIS DAMN EAR. He had no intent to every strech them and I think this place and workers are very unproffesional and I would LOVE a refund. The reason in writing this now is because he just lost one of the 200$ dollar earings I bought him. This is complete crap do not go here. Also the 30$ wednesdays are BS. He spent 120$ for 2 regular a** ear piercings on that cheap day, and me I spent the same for two and we didnt pick out no fancy jewlery which they wouldnt even let us do regardless. Saw on Instagram they posted about having time for walk ins so I went to the shop and asked if they still had time available. After showing them what I wanted the one guy called over someone else who asked me some questions about the tattoo and then said he would draw something up. I ended up sitting in the lounge area for almost 2 hours, with not one person saying a word to me regarding my tattoo that was supposedly "being drawn up" or if I had been looked after already. When I went to the guy who I assumed was drawing up something to let him know I'd be leaving, he was sketching something that looked like it was for someone else and acted as if he had no idea I'd even asked for a tattoo let alone had been sitting there waiting to be called to the chair for over an hour. Very unprofessional in my opinion as someone could have at the least said something along the lines of "sorry! Still drawing!" or even asked who I was waiting for? so I'd have an idea of what was even going on.... read more

#1 They made me pay for my tattoo in advance, saying it would take three hours, it only took two hours but I still paid over $350. #2 Ashley refused to do a piercing the way I wanted it so I ended up very unhappy with it, she said no piercer in the city would do it the way I wanted, but when I spoke to Brock later once it started getting covered by scar tissue, he said he has done it the way I wanted and would've done it for me. #3 Finally, my sister went to get her nose pierced with our mother and they said 14 years old was too young, even though her fourteen year old friend got her nose pierced there a few weeks beforehand. It worked out for the best, she ended up going to Tora's which is way better for a first piercing with all the information Deacon gives. read more

I got my nose pierced here. It looks like a nice place, and is set up really nicely, but that's the only nice thing about it. The guy who pierced my nose was SO rude and was BARELY informing at all. This made the experience worse . I also couldn't have anyone in the room with me which was ridiculous cause I needed moral support and was TERRIFIED like most people.I also did not get to pick the type of metal or the jewelry I wanted other than just picking between a ring or a stud. Plus, they force their aftercare products on you when you could easily find them at your local drugstore. Please don't pick Perfect Image as your first choice.. read more

I got my belly button done in march and I've been cleaning it regularly with Spectro gel just like the piercer told me to do, then I learned two months later that I should have been doing salt and water rinses and I was never told to. Today in June my belly button rejected and I went to another piercer to find out that the person who did my belly button did not do it properly or deep enough. read more

The service was, overall, good enough and everyone who worked there were fairly nice. However, I did have some issues that I wasn't so happy with. After getting my lip pierced here, the piercer either didn't put the ball on the jewellery correctly, or maybe it was simply defective, but it fell off later the same day on my walk to work so I returned and instead of offering to replace it, I was told that I would need to purchase a new one... After spending all that money on getting it pierced to begin with? Really? I've also bought replacement jewellery from here before for both my tragus and my nose (purchased at the same time) and the gem in the one for my tragus fell out and got washed down the drain a couple of days later which was upsetting because I was told by the girl behind the desk that the jewellery was solid and also because it was expensive! Not worth it. Since then, I have taken to buying cheap replacement jewellery at Harmony uptown. It's a good price and I haven't had a single issue with things becoming loose, falling out, or breaking. I would return to Perfect Image only because their staff is pretty friendly and their piercers are generally pretty good at their job. read more
