I like different artists for their visions and interpretation of why this tattoo needs to be there at this time. There is an artist for everyone there. Its wonderfull to have it all in one spot. I've decided to get a partial sleeve, at a higher age range than typical for a lady these days. My fingers invariably keep landing on their site as a place I know will take great care of me and give me a first class tattoo that will give me pride to look at for the rest of my life. I'll be booking my consultation with someone soon guys! Well done on your success.

The Faith & Glory Collective are a small group of tattoo artists that banded together to form their…read moreown shop after years and years of working for larger, well known companies. The idea, as it was explained to me is simple, "Do what you love." The shop is in downtown Kitchener just above a 20/20 Optical which sounds like an odd place but the space is perfect. There isn't a lot of walk in traffic but you can always show up without an appointment and if they're busy they'll book you in right there. Calling ahead is always your best option as these gentlemen can have a waiting list. There are four artists (plus an apprentice) that call this place home and each one has his own style. Just taking a look around the shop is a good indication of how well rounded they are as the walls are covered in sketches and drawings all done by the shop artists. Sometimes they have prints for sale of these pieces. The shop itself is open, well lit and clean as a whistle. Everything is sterilized and packaged properly. Counters and work stations are constantly wiped down, cleaned and cleaned again. There is a relaxed and comfortable atmosphere that seems inviting and positive. I think it's just a natural side effect of enjoying your work. There isn't much in the way of parking so you might have to hunt for a spot at a parking lot close by (a block or so away at best, two or three at worst).

Electric Lounge Tattoo - This was my first ever tattoo. Electric Lounge did such a great job. Cost about $100!!

I would never recommend this studio. My best friend and I got matching tattoos on our fingers…read more(lock and key). While I do appreciate that hand tattoos are a bit of their own anomaly, and I totally respect the decision not to do touch ups on them. However, my bigger concern is that the tattoo JUST healed, and there are blank spaces in the lines - and the lines themselves are uneven - that's not a wear issue, that's an inexperienced artist issue. These lines are not smooth. There are too thin and "bumpy" in places. I have many other tattoos, and I know how to after care for them. The sitting (for both myself, and my friend) happened on November 8. Today is the 18. It hasn't even been 10 days and most of this tattoo (and the other party's) is non-existent. For the money that was spent (more than the shop minimum), this quality is negligible at best, which is concerning. The shop came with high reviews on Instagram, so I had higher expectations. If we had an apprentice, I understand that there is a learning curve, but would have appreciated being told in advance, as we likely would not have booked, under those circumstances. Sadly, the bad experience started at the door, which should have been our tell-tale sign; the girl at the desk (who turned out to be our artist), did not seem to realize we had an appointment; stencils and workstation were not prepared. Nor did she apologize for our wait OR even introduce herself. She did not even provide after care advice (granted, I am heavily tattooed, so it's easily assumed I know what to do, but my counterpart has minimal ink, so she would have benefitted from this knowledge). To top everything off, when I reached out to the studio, they could not be bothered to reply. Overall, I'd have to say that the experience my friend and I had at electric lounge was not a great one, and I'm not willing to give them any more of my money.

The second i stepped in the doors i new i loved this place. It was very welcoming and I peaked at another clients work she was having done and it was incredible. When I told them it was my birthday and I really wanted a tattoo but the other parlour didn't work out, they were so nice and offered to squeeze me in during the artists lunch break. One of the best customer service experiences i've ever had. I get complimented on my tattoo all the time, everybody including myself loves it!! I will definitely be booking my second tattoo with them!!

I highly recommend this tattoo shop as it is now our go-to. Their tattoo machines are also very quiet which makes the tattoo experience a lot nicer.

"Treasure Island" - a ship, a beach, some animals, from elbow down an underwater segment. Gord didn't use Pinterest so I sent him photos. Still didn't manage to come up with anything that wasn't a direct trace from the pics I sent. Each "appointment" was less than a minute, just him showing me the exact pics I'd already sent, poorly sketched onto an iPad. Then I spent, literally, 13 hours in his studio. Between smoke breaks, taking care of his needy dogs and then a 3h wait while he searched the studio top to bottom for his machine, deciding he'd been robbed and spewing conspiracies all the while. He made me feel extremely unsafe. I wanted to leave, but feared that he would have a full-on mental health breakdown. The only reason I let him put ink into me is that I'd been there for 6 hours waiting and didn't want to lose my deposit. Finally this quite literally insane man located his equipment. But now it's time for another 45 minute smoke break. All the while lecturing me on the many ways in which covid is not real. He kept coaxing me to remove my face mask, but he's antivax. Stencil time! After an hour of being stenciled, I look in the mirror and... the sleeve that I wanted to reach my fingers didn't reach my elbow. He told me it would look better that way. At least I can find another artist to add to it. At around 4pm he decided he was hungry and so disappeared for another 2h to make himself a meal, then walked around eating in front of me as I clenched my every muscle in fear. Once in the chair it was business, the guy got it done. Not what I wanted, but he did... something. I won't say the tattoo itself is bad. It's what I was expecting, but not remotely what I wanted. Didn't leave till 1am. Only inked for 3h. I spent NINE HOURS doing NOTHING. I cannot believe I spent $600 for a literal traumatic experience. I am literally in fear of this person having access to others' skin. Oh, and he's very racist. He said to my face that Black people "don't actually know what they want for a tattoo so I don't do them". Same with religious people and other POC. Also told me a story of a woman wanting a tribute to her daughter who ended her life. He said no, that she'd regret it because she was still grieving. This man is sick mentally and socially. Unless you want something to talk about at therapy, avoid this psychopath at all costs. Be prepared to seek another artist immediately afterward to fix everything he did wrong.
