This is a newly opened Pediatric practice that has an after hours clinic every night from 6 to 10…read morepm. The name of the after-hours walk in is called Kid E Care. My daughter is complaining of a sore throat so we're here to see if she has Strep like her sisters had a few weeks ago. Fortunately, they have a rapid strep test so we'll find out if she'll also need antibiotics. We arrived @ 6:45 and were seen by the nurse about 15 minutes later, after an exam, a rapid strep test (negative) and a sticker we were home and in bed before 8 pm. So an hour and 15 minutes including drive time is pretty good. There was only 1 doc and 1 nurse on call so it took longer to look at 3 patients than I would have expected, but they did take more time with my daughter than a traditional churn n burn doctor would have (which was nice for her). The clinic director told me that their objective is to have their patients seen quickly as they don't want to have lots of sick kids in their waiting room. There's not really any toys for the kids to use in the waiting room so bring your own or bring some books. This is now our go to place for after hours pediatrics....great location, friendly staff, efficient.

And even though we find one, we believe it's still hard to book an appointment. This clinic is open 6 days a week, and it's just right behind a church. The parking spots are limited, but still can do street side parking. There are 2 people at the front desk, they were friendly. The waiting time was not that long, about 15-20 mins. The pediatric doctors were really experienced, and they explained the issues and gave detailed instructions of the meds, also answered my questions patiently, even though there were more kids waiting. The pharmacy is connected to the doctor's computer, doctor sent the prescription right to the pharmacy, we picked up meds right after step out the checking room. It's fast and convenient. The pharmacist would explained the meds again as other pharmacists do. This clinic is located at the downtown of Richmond Hill. Easy to get to. We had a great experience in here.

Parking: free around the plaza, on a small side street Reception: friendly to neutral no attitude Waiting room: chairs, tv playing treehouse, some simple toys Rooms: 6, it's a bit tired and too clinical for kids Doctors: friendly and know their stuff Pharmacy: avg dispensing fee Hours: last check in is before 6pm(closes at 7pm) Misc: cannot throw diapers in rooms, can eat snacks here. Our other Doctors office was rude, and hurtful, especially to a new mom trying to navigate this new world in the middle of a pandemic. They were rude, pushy, and didn't really explain anything very well. When a friend suggested Purely Peds to me, we jumped on the chance to get out of that nightmare! But never in a million years did I think we would find a place so caring and compassionate. You can tell that these people went into business because they LOVE what they do- They recently switched to a bigger and beautiful building. The drive is pretty far but oh, so worth it! We never leave the office crying or feeling like we're bad parents- they explain everything very in-depth and detailed. They have the time and patience to listen and help with ANY concern you may have- and never make you feel like your dumb or a burden for asking! They have a very fair price to make this private office so affordable- haha babies are expensive. But I can't explain how grateful and happy I am, knowing that Naomi is in such great hands! She is the most important thing in our lives so she gets the best- I wouldn't have it any other way. Has your child's doctor ever made you cry? Or feel unimportant or over worried? We have been with her since she started her practice, when I was pregnant with my baby in 2017. Whenever I have a worry or concern, they are always there and answer immediately to any concerns. The minimal feee every month is so worth it just for the peace of mind of having a Dr on call. It has taken course to get other drs to call back while I wait with a sick baby or I literally have to go to er while waiting for other drs to call back. Not at purely Peds. Dr. Contreras has been a family pediatrician for over 20 years for us and I cannot imagine sending…read moremy loved ones anywhere else. He is a physician that treats his patients with respect and love- not to mention that he is also very knowledgeable and truly an expert in his field. I have noticed that his diagnoses have been correct before even a confirmatory test. He has a lot of passion for medicine and goes above and beyond to make sure that his patients are healthy- I would be an example of that. At times when I was the sickest, I was always fortunate enough to have Dr. Contreras office to go to and he really makes you feel like you are a part of his family. Michelle is also an exceptional nurse and an even better human being, that works in his other office near William Osler Etobicoke Hospital. She is by far the most organized and helpful sidekick to his practice! I would definitely recommend Dr. Contreras to anyone looking for a pediatrician.

The check in process was quick and efficient. The nurse who administered my shot was lovely and helped me to feel as relaxed as possible during the jab (needles make me nervous lol). Parking was validated on my way out and I was all done! My second dose is already booked here for September but fingers crossed I can get in earlier with the new accelerated plan.

My daughter had a baby a Cortelluci hospital in Vaughan 3 months ago and it was absolutely amazing experience in all units.
