I know the reviews for Kidscrew is varied but while we have a regular general practitioner (GP) for our daughter, there are instances when we haven't been able to secure an appointment. In those cases, Kidscrew has been a valuable resource for us. The staff there are gentle, kind, and professional, and we have found it easy to arrange appointments when necessary. This place has gone downhill in the past few years. We have been doing here for a while and Dr Kulik has been dismissive and rude at both our last two apts. She did not listen to our concerns resulting in us having to go to a walk in the next day and then the hospital with our child. Never again life is to precious to take a chance on our child health. Dr Kulik listen to your patients parents they are with the child more the the 10 minutes your rush into the room and throw out an opinion with out the proper knowledge of the situation. Going to this clinic was the worst experience of my life. My children and I are infinitely worse off after having callous, dismissive, rude doctor there be our pediatrician. I wish I had never walked in the doors. Be warned that you may spend years unravelling the damage this clinic does to you and your children when you escape the gaslighting and judgment of their treatment and realize it is an abnormal atmosphere where money and profit comes first and children's health second. This clinic is a one-of-a-kind facility. You will not find a clinic that has so many specialists under one roof. The interior is colorful and kid friendly with a cute play area for the littles and iPads for the older children. There are a handful of Office Admins at the front, so waiting to check in is very short and you are given a buzzer device while waiting for your appointment. I really appreciate that before my visits I always recieve a digital NDDS or LookSee developmental questionaire through email that my pediatrician reviews at our appointment. The facility is clean. After your appointment, your family can eat amazing ice cream at Dutch Dreams located across the street (behind Kid Crew back entrance). We will not go anywhere else, nothing compares to this clinic. read more

The doctor was dismissive and barely examined my daughter who was on day four of a fever that had caused a febrile seizure two days before. The doctor insisted it was COVID despite a negative home test and despite me saying three children in her daycare had confirmed cases of strep throat. She blew that off and told me kids this age simply don't get that -- which is untrue considering these other children had been swabbed and prescribed antibiotics. So we went home with no answers. Well, a week later my husband is on antibiotics for, you guessed it, strep throat and I have it too. The Toronto Star also published an article about strep throat making the rounds with children. Clearly not impossible. I only wish I'd pushed harder for a strep test but was made to feel stupid for coming. read more

We followed Dr. Kulik from her previous office to her clinic on Bathurst. Dr. Kulik is knowledgeable and helpful. We have always trusted her opinion and advice, and continue to do so with confidence. (If you don't already, follow her on her various social media outlets. She provides very helpful info to parents.) The medical assistant who attended to us - Jessica - was fantastic. She was understanding and very professionally carried out her duties. The front desk staff when we attended our appointment were busy but efficient, and in my case, took time to help out. On calling in, I was assisted very promptly by the person who answered the phone. The admin staff offer great, friendly, and competent service. I should note it was extremely busy in the clinic during our late morning appointment, and it felt somewhat chaotic in the waiting room. That's probably because of the large number of doctors and specialists on site. This won't deter us from continuing on with Kidcrew. And a final note: The clinic is located on a very busy street, one that feels more like a highway. That might make drop offs and pick ups somewhat difficult. We would recommend Kidcrew to others! read more

We moved here from the US and went to Pediatric Associates (which we loved). This place is trying to be it and failing. PA allows you to telephone them even at 3am on a Sunday and speak to somebody - either to book appts or for advice from a nurse. They also have a wonderful portal for booking and viewing records. This place never answers the phone, even just to book/reschedule an appt, although they say you can book by phone, online OR portal. They also respond to emails, a full day later after your child has been suffering, with a template response directing you to their portal. Their website also advertises 'same day sick appts' which is a lie because their template email informs you that you cannot book a sick visit on the portal within 24-36hrs. Very upset we registered our child here because we felt this place would be like PA - able to reach at any time, by all means and that same day appts would be no problem. They also have a fine print notice $80 or $200 fee for last minute cancellations (another thing we have never seen at PA). It seems excessive and like a threat, considering it is a faceless entity when it comes to booking (and I imagine cancelling) appts. read more

They do not see Pts that are not in their own practice however the front staff don't tell you that and instead made a virtual apt for us to see the doctor which was useless as our child needed to be seen in person, meanwhile we missed being seen at other wak in clinic. read more

I took my son for his annual exam, booked many months earlier and confirmed the week before. We arrived 15 minutes before my son's appointment time and waited about 25 minutes in the lobby to be directed to a room. We were then left in the room for over an hour without being seen. My 5-year-old son was very patient, but it was rough for him. At no point did anyone apologize for the delay or check in on us. Finally, an hour and a half after we'd arrived, a different doctor came in to conduct the exam, saying our doctor was "a little delayed" by a virtual appointment and she would do the exam instead, which was a quick once-over, under 10 mins total. I saw our doctor walk past the room when we'd been waiting there for about half an hour already, so the virtual appointment clearly didn't start until long after our appointment time. Again, no apology or anything. If a patient is late, they can be charged an inconvenience fee or have their appointment cancelled, so I thought this was a pretty inconsiderate and hypocritical treatment by KidCrew. read more

When I found Kidcrew back in 2018, they were amazing. I was blown away by the clinic's setup being so kid-friendly, as it made things easier when taking my daughter to appointments. She loved the play area. It's different now since COVID, since the play area is shut and the toys are all gone. I don't think they could do anything about this, but it is too bad as it changes my daughter's opinion of going. I loved the fact that so many specialists were in one place, and this is still a huge benefit to Kidcrew. They're also directly beside and share the unit with Smile Squad, who are amazing pediatric dentists. I was able to arrange Occupational Therapy and a referral to a developmental pediatrician, get my daughter's teeth taken care of, and establish a great relationship with my daughter's pediatrician, Dr. Erin. Dr. Erin is fantastic. I like her a lot, and I feel she listens to parents/patients and is a wonderful doctor to have. Dr. Lavi assessed my daughter developmentally and she remembers it as a fun play date, which is a sign that he did a great job with her. The reception staff are nice too and have always been professional, though they seem busy all the time so I don't envy them. Over time, I started to see a change in the clinic. At first, it was difficult to get through by phone so I started sending emails. Then my emails would sometimes not get answered, so I would have to send them multiple times. I understand the clinic is busy, but I started to wonder if they might be overwhelmed. I put it down to the pandemic and dealt with it. Dr. Erin is worth it, and so are the specialists. We went in person to see my daughter's OT, until she quit suddenly and with no explanation, appearing to close her practice entirely and suggesting referrals that were not related to Kidcrew. I've had a couple of virtual appointments for simple health concerns with my daughter since then that needed a basic prescription. Once I can get in touch with the clinic and have them book me, everything is smooth, but I rate them only 4 stars because I wonder if they are growing past their capacity. Once, I emailed them asking for my daughter to be wait-listed for a child psychologist to help her with some struggles she was having, and they gave me two options of practitioners. I didn't feel like I had enough information to choose, so I asked for more details about them and never received a response. Also worth knowing: you have to go in person to see your pediatrician a minimum amount in order to access the virtual visits, apparently, even though the website says virtual visits are for everyone. Going in person to see a sub-specialist doesn't count for the in-person requirement, as we went to see the OT but it didn't count toward the relationship with Dr. Erin. I appreciate all the care they have taken with my daughter and I think they are worth seeing if you need specialist care on a regular basis especially. Dr Erin and Dr Lavi are absolutely worth it! I still wonder why the OT left, and why there was no one in place to take on her roster. read more

This doctor is not only dismissive but never gave my son or reminded us of the mandatory vaccines needed as a result my son was almost suspended from school. we made appointment to get vaccines and they had to split it up because he couldn't takeout all at once. she barely look at the damn kid. your lucky if she even gives a smile and this woman has a KIDS PRACTICE!!! she is absolutely dismissive and cold. I returned for the last dose of vaccine for my child and was late due to construction I could not control. I called to let them know and as usual no answer. I got there and they are telling me I have to rebook. I asked to speak with the manger and was told there is none its only dr.kulik and she is busy. a colleague stepped in to help and asked the nurse to see me they agreed and sat me in the room with my child. 2 minutes later the nurse comes not to see me but to kick me out and say they are not assisting me!!!!!!!! of course this made me frustrated and they went off for 30mins to decide if someone was going to give my son the ONE shot he needed. I saw dr.kulik in passing and she was cold as usual and said she will accommodate. that was not the end...I came home to emails about being abusive and aggressive stereotypical words used against black women for speaking up. the "manager" called me to discuss and confirmed her staff felt the tone was rude but never abusive or aggressive which is now discriminatory. STAY AWAY from this place. they office is appealing but the service is dog shit. actually shit is much better. read more

I admit that I am angry, so I probably shouldn't be writing this review right now, but I also know that I was not dealt with compassionately by Kidcrew, so here's my review: When our regular MD was not available, we took our months-old baby to Kidcrew to check him out for whatever was making him snotty and pulling at his ears. At that time we learned about their in-house sleep specialist and we booked an appointment. It was six months in the future, but we kept it on the calendar and intended to go....today. But then my mom had an attack of kidney stones, drove herself into the emerg (parked on the sidewalk in front of the revolving entry doors) and called me short of breath talking about pain and being in the hospital. It was early but I packed up the kids and went to the hospital. Then Kidcrew called and said the doctor was waiting and if we can't make it they will have to charge us $175. After explaining our situation to the doc, the person who phoned told me "you will have to pay for the doctor because there is no more appointments until December." As though that were my fault. So, there. I'll pay Kidcrew $175 because I couldn't honour my side of the contract of making an appointment with them, and there are no more appointments until December. So, I guess I don't feel like I was given compassionate care at Kidcrew. And it's costing me $175. Forewarned, parents of young ones. read more

Ok, so this place is not exactly the place you want to end up in frequently. But overall, I've only access their after hours clinic and it is amazing. So a few things about this place - they have an after-hours clinic and you can book an appointment to see the pediatricians here, which makes things a lot easier for parents. Did I mention that their waiting room is like a kid's paradise, they have a pretty good sized play structure, a separate "clubhouse" for pretend play and ipads so the kiddies waiting can burn off some energy, while they wait to be seen. The quality of care seems to be pretty good. I've been pretty satisfied with the level of care we have received for my little one. So much so that we are considering switching, because the hours of our current pediatrician is not really working for us. Note: Paid underground parking is found, the access to the garage is next to the Dollarama off Vaughan Road, it is very easy to miss. $1.25/half hour - paid at the meter and leave the receipt on your dashboard. read more

I feel both of my children have received excellent care at Kidcrew. Dr. Kulik is knowledgeable and caring. In fact, we followed Dr. Kulik from her previous office to Kidcrew. I like being able to set up appointments via email. There have been several occasions where they were able to fit my child in for a last minute appointment due to an illness. I'm happy with the staff as well as Dr. Kulik. There are times when the office seems super busy but I have never felt that the quality of my children's care was ever affected by that. read more

When my daughter was first born in 2019 coming here was no problem, probably because this is the time where they give them all the injections that are essentially a paycheque for them. But if the last year I've called them twice about my daughter having a fever for more than 3 days and they offered me a virtual appointment. I guess I understand the covid precautions but at the same time I don't because they're denying children service and giving them meaningless service over the phone they would rather I bring a child with a cold or infection to the hospital to expose them to so many other things than to just do their job and help the children. If I had a child on adhd or antidepressants they would be quick to make room for them though because again this is a paycheque.. antibiotics, an ear exam or chest examination to determine an infection is barely profitable for them. It's sad how some healthcare providers acted like victims throughout the pandemic but where is the help from them? A 3 year old with a few for 3 days straight gets a virtual appointment lol that's literally criminal and the whole office is putting the child at risk, there is no hope for Canadian health care. read more

I waited 6 months for the clinic staff to connect with me regarding a referral for my son. The referral was made in January and after calling several times and being sent to voicemail, I finally spoke to a person today. The staff member told me that the gastro doc has no available appointments and she does not know when they will have any appointments as they make their own schedule and have not opened it up yet. She said the GI doc is only in 1 day per month. I left countless messages over the last few months, I have sent emails and had my doctors office follow up with them twice. When I first spoke with the woman today she thought the referral was sent earlier this month (which was the most recent time my doctors office called to check on the referral), I told her the referral was sent in January and when she looked closely she realized it had been there for months. I am requesting a referral to another clinic, such poor service. read more

Thankfully we don't visit often, but whenever we do, the experience is always amazing. It's busy, but so extremely efficient. We have never waited long for our appointment. Dr. Kulik is such a great doctor. Really taking the time to listen to any concerns and give her honest opinions on the health of our girls. Extremely disappointed with the care I received. They did not return phone calls or emails, they claimed they did not receive results when the results clearly said they sent to them and then I manually emailed the results and the receptionist confirmed they were received and they dropped the ball on booking his follow up after the first appointment. They also never passed on my concerns to the doctor. I received a call 4 months after my initial appointment to ask if my son had completed a test ordered (which they had received results to 3.5 earlier) and saying they need to book a follow up even though the Dr. had already transferred him to Sick Kids. Dr. Dina never replied to my email or phone calls - which I know they received because I was on the phone with the receptionist as I wrote it and she confirmed it was received, documented and passed on. For a clinic that advertises they value their patients and patient care, they completed neglected my child. read more

I really want to love this clinic but am unfortunately feeling very unhappy and now looking for a new doctor for my child. As people have mentioned, the space is well thought out, the hours are amazing, and the access to specialists is great. However, we have been really unsatisfied with the care. I am all for efficiency but this place feels like a factory. The doctors barely acknowledge us or (and most concerning) our child, appointments are minutes long, and I feel like any questions I have are met with annoyance and the shortest answer possible. Again, I know that the doctors are busy but it would literally take 30 seconds to say a proper hello, take a good look at my child, and ask a question or two about how everything is going. They seem to rely on parents to identify any problems and I wonder how many concerns are getting missed due to indifferent and rushed appointments. read more
