I love Disney and usually enjoy going to the Disney Store, but my recent experience was really disappointing because of an employee named Joanna (a heavier-set woman with seemingly noticeable lip filler). Unfortunately, she was one of the rudest customer service workers I've ever encountered. I'm not sure if she was having a bad day, but the way she treated me was very rude. Honestly, someone with that attitude should not be working in customer service, especially at a Disney store. When I went up to the register, I was talking with my daughter about the Minnie Bunny promotion where you can get the plush for $16 with a purchase. I mentioned to my daughter that maybe we shouldn't get it because it says "Disney Store 2026" on Minnie's foot. My daughter jokingly said, "That's your sign not to get it." Out of nowhere, Joanne jumped in and said in a very irritated tone, "You're at the Disney STORE so of course it's going to say store." Her tone sounded annoyed and almost angry, which was strange because I wasn't even speaking to her or asking for her opinion. I calmly responded that I had other reasons, and she continued by saying, "When you go to Disneyland it will say 'land.'" The way she said it came across extremely rude. Later she held up the Minnie plush and asked very bluntly, "Do you want it?" I said no, that it was fine. When I went to pay, I tapped my card and asked if the payment went through. She replied with a snarky tone, "I don't know, I'm not on that side--read it." That's when I realized that she was just being mean for no reason. I stayed quiet, waited for her to restart the payment, and finished my purchase. I grabbed my bag and left feeling pretty annoyed. Looking back, I wish I had said something, because no customer deserves to be treated that way. If someone is having a bad day, I understand--but that doesn't mean taking it out on customers and ruining their experience. I was polite the entire time, and there was no reason for the attitude. The company should really speak with her so she understands the importance of being kind to customers. One day that kind of behavior could easily upset the wrong person. Her overall presentation and attitude clearly showed that she was unhappy, and unfortunately it made what should have been a fun Disney visit a negative experience. read more

Folks, this is an outlet store. So prices will be slightly less expensive than what's in the parks & items will be considered 'out of season.' That's how outlet stores work! Very organized and very happy with how much they have to offer! I was recently at Disney and many of the same merchandise there is sold here! So it's a great place to shop right before hitting the parks. Growing up going to the Disney Store was fun, and this is a great alternative for the next generation. OUT-OF-SEASON & OVERPRICED MERCH! My Mom decided to stop by to purchase some Marvel merch and we were flabbergasted with the insane price increase for Mickey ears. The starting price range for Mickey ears is $40, WTH? I feel like I'm on another planet when I step into a Disney store because clearly they don't live in the same reality as the rest of the world. Get this, it's now officially Spring and this store is still selling stuff from Halloween/Fall. To make matters worse, the items were at full price! Hey Disney, at least ensure your merchandise is in-season instead of selling irrelevant products. We spotted a clearance rack and the discount was only $5, why not just go to Walmart for your Disney fix. Service was fine, the attendant at the front was friendly. Super fun and organized store to shop and browse around, but I was unable to locate any Pooh or Piglet item that was decently priced for purchase. I thought of getting a Star Wars' pin set, but the designs were all too cartoon-ish, so I skipped buying that stuff too. I wished the Piglet Plush wasn't $22.95....for such a small, tiny size. Wasn't worth it. Was almost going to take 1 home, but, I'll keep shopping around for better pricing. I had a great time browsing here with the intention of buying a Piglet Plush, but I think for the price that set, I would have been able to find something else from BoxLunch, Ontario Mills, CA. as well. Purchased three Disney jerseys online for full price. Just 2 days after receiving the items in the mail, came into the store to exchange a jersey for a larger size to find out a new promotion for 25% off store wide was being promoted. I had my receipt and asked the register cast member if I could get a price difference or return the item and purchase with a discount. Manager was called over and said I cannot due that. She tried to find the policy stating I can't do that, but it was unclear and not specified. Manager stated the following: No, I cannot return and purchase same item using a discount especially during the same store visit. No, I cannot return any item after using a Disney gift card online. No, i cannot get the promotion of the jerseys or any other item in the store if I don't physically have the coupon or printout even though it states promotion can be used by the promo code in store or online. Not only was the manager being curt and unable to explain other options for me like calling online customer service, she just walked away and left me hanging. After making a big purchase (big or small) it would be expected to get better customer service from a Disney store. Luckily I called Disney store online the next day and they were able to accommodate my difference in a matter of minutes, for that I would give 5 stars, but in store 2 stars due to with customer service. read more

I use to love this store. We left feeling not so magical today. I get it is the holidays, but the lack of customer service today amazed me. The usual "have a magical day" was not fixing anything today. My daughter accidentally left her mini Doc McStuffins doll in the store. We realized it 15 min later and went back. Instead of helping, a of the employees kept saying was, someone must have thought it was theirs". Really? Not, let me help you find it or let's see if we can find it" They walkied over to the back to ask. Joanna at the front, just told us to walk around and look. I have had a similar incident a few years ago with a different kid at a different Disney store and they went out of their way to help. I was very disappointed in how the situation was handled. There's always a line to get in no matter what time I visit the mall, which seems to move really slow due to lots of big parties due of course to parents shopping with their kids. Once you make it inside, the store has been arranged in a way that flows nicely and makes it easy to maintain social distancing. As far as selection and prices, this location is pretty standard and has a decent selection and mix of products available. All of the staff are extremely kind and welcoming, wishing everyone that comes within 12 feet magical days. read more

I highly recommend if you are using a Disney gift card to stay far away from this Disney store. The cast members are clueless and will charge you for an item and remove the charges from your gift card and than tell you that there is not enough on gift card to make the purchase. When you get home you check transactions and notice they took money off the gift card(the total of the item you were going to buy in store) and you go home with no items as you were told the gift card was not correct amount. Re-train the so called Cast members because this is totally unacceptable to charge customers for items and they do not get the product. read more

I observe their pleasant greetings and friendly demeanor with each customers. Brenda also helped me with my purchase at the register . She follow through with my requests for a gift receipts . I really like anything Disney. Although my kids have outgrown the Disney Store, I still appreciate all of the cute clothes and toys. I guess I'm still a kid at heart! This store really does have some adorable things. They always have great discounts on their shirts and stuffed animals. The employees at the store are very friendly. At the same time, they are also incredibly understaffed. I feel so bad for the employees when I'm here. Everything is in a bit of a mess, and they can't seem to get organized in the midst of the chaos. Someone mentioned in a previous review that many of the items seem used or damaged, and I completely agree. I've actually seen parents open packages, let their kids play with the toys so they can shop in silence, and then put the toys back before they leave. This makes me want to run out of the store screaming, and that's on a good day. Other than the complete chaos, this store has a really nice staff and some cute things. Oh my Disney! Like many Disney Stores, they can be a really hot mess. Kids running around and their parents allowing for them to pick up merchandise and placing them on another display. So yes, there is a little bit of a mess at this store. But the one thing I liked about the last visit, is that one of the Cast Members was talking to a little boy and found out the family was shopping for his birthday! She asked if he was shy and OK with getting attention. He shyly was OK with it and she stepped away for a moment. She came back and lead him and his father to the middle of the store and made a robust announcement that it was a special day for one of the guests. She had the entire store wish the little boy an happy birthday with a round of applause! Good job to that Cast Member taking the same customer service model they have at the parks and resorts into the store! That's what Disney is all about, the experience! The staff does not attempt to control the lines at check out so people just walked in front of others... the staff is not very polite and if they bring something from the back they wont let you look at it ... mine is chipped, if I wasn't allowed to look at it the least they could have done is look for me! I called and the reply was bring it back to the store for a full refund, this item was not on sale, and the store is about 45 mins away! This is not a happy solution for this! I love this store; I always bring the grandkids and buy them something whenever they visit. They always have a sale going on and you can definitely find cheap clearance items if you look for them. The line gets a bit long because of COVID restrictions but I'd rather wait in line than go into a packed store where everyone pushes you around like it was before Covid. I continue to shop here simple because the pins are affordable but tbh, it's not as fun of an experience as literally any other Disney store I've been in. The staff are kinda rude. Be forewarned that this is an outlet store. When I inquired about Disney encanto merchandise for my daughter, I was told that this store would not receive any for a year because it's an outlet. Hands down the only reason I come to the Ontario Mills outlets. They have the BEST inventory of Disney Park merchandise especially on clearance. I've found coffee cups, crocs, shirts, ears, etc. from the park on clearance here. Plus they have amazing customer service even with kids running around everywhere and tons of people trying to move through the store. Do not be mistaken though, not everything in the store is on sale. This is a regular Disney store who typically has a good clearance section. Emphasize on section. Many of the toys/items you find throughout the store are regular priced or on sale slightly like any other Disney store in a mall. Also they no longer give backs, which is tricky when you're making large purchases. They charge about 1$ per each Disney reusable bag that you need if you chose to buy bags. The prices of the bags vary by size honestly but the basic blue bags are the cheapest. You can be festive though and pay a few extra dollars like me on the holiday bags. I have so many blue bags I always tell myself I will remember one day to bring bags! read more

This is my favorite Disney store - PRE-REMODEL. Before the remodel, items seemed to be more deeply discounted. Since they closed and reopened with the new look, it seems as though the prices are the same as the regular priced Disney stores at other malls. I love Disney everything, and this was my favorite location because of the great deals I found here in the past ($1-2 kid t-shirts). I don't have any complaints about the staff however, as they are usually courteous. My family and I came into the Disney store to show our birthday boy around.. It's his first birthday today!! This 5 star review is for BRENDA... she came over and introduced herself and she then found out it was our boys birthday.. She asked if she could give him a birthday shot out to which we said of course! She got the whole stores attention and said that "Prince charming turns one today and his name is Ethan! On the count of three let's all wish him a happy birthday!" And everyone did!!! It was such a sweet thing to do. She also made him a pin and took our picture!! Now we have that sweet memory forever and for that I'll always remember BRENDA in the Disney store at this location. She put everyone else's customer service to shame!!!
