I recently canceled my TDS Internet service after years of dealing with spotty reliability and high…read moremonthly costs. I switched to Kinetic Fiber, and the difference has been remarkable. The service is significantly faster, far more reliable, and costs less than half of what TDS was charging. My biggest frustration, however, has been TDS's billing practices. It has now been five weeks since I closed my account, and TDS still has not refunded the $317.74 credit balance they owe me. When I called to ask about my refund, I was told it could take up to 120 days to process. I spoke with a supervisor hoping there might be some flexibility, but was simply told, "We cannot override company policy." I pointed out the obvious double standard: if I were 120 days late paying TDS, my internet service would have been disconnected long ago, and my account likely sent to collections. Yet when TDS owes money to a former customer, they believe it's acceptable to hold onto that customer's money for as long as four months. Between the unreliable service, high prices, and what I consider an unreasonable refund policy, I cannot recommend TDS. My experience with Kinetic Fiber has been the complete opposite - faster speeds, better reliability, and a monthly bill that is less than half of what I was paying TDS. If you're shopping for internet service in Carlsbad, I strongly recommend comparing your options before choosing TDS.

They thrive on doing reconnects however they don't actually do them anymore the big computer in the sky no one supposedly has access too!. If you're one to Gamble with posting times then do an eCheck payment through there payment system, you will be automatically re connected within less than a minute. 2. When you don't sign up for paperless billing, that must mean to CableOne don't send a bill at all. There are some like myself that refuse to pay anyone without a payment request or bill that's how I ended up disconnected. 3. When you're speaking to a rep in regards to service and you ask for an internet speed upgrade and your quoted,. They say your monthly rate will increase by , xxx.xx but your next bill could be a little more,. CableOne version o if a little more could be a few cents to a few hundred bucks any billing erros are considered the fault of the customer. I Will have more later Rob .

I would recommend either century link or comcast. Every time i have called I have not been able to get my problem solved and they refuse to fix the patchy connection and the extreme slow times.
