Over priced bad service. Representatives are very unprofessional., rude., over worked (long wait)

Not helpful at all, Dalton in customer service, asking about past due for son , and no problem paying with my credit card but information on past due amount.. OMG, Dalton would have to lift a finger read more

TDS is the worst TV service/Internet provider I have ever experienced. Paying for the top service and it still lags, freezes up or just fails to provide service. Modem has to be reset a couple times a week at a minimum. I wish another company would get in Alamogordo. This town sucks and so far behind the times. The town council must be as corrupt as the governor of this state because this town is last in everything.. 146.00 a month for crappy service is pathetic and a rip off. I should have stayed with TMobile Tv and Internet but switched to ATT, big mistake there too. Can't even get fiber optic at my house because this town sucks so bad .. read more

TDS Sucks, the internet goes in and out all the time. I run an RV Park and trying to get boxes for over a year. The last owner lost 100 boxes and we were not told until after the name and responsibility was changed to us. been trying to gwt boxes for over a year and just get the run around read more

TDS is by far the WORST internet provider I have ever dealt with! They charged me for service I didn't receive and their prices are ridiculous for the service received. I have spoken with several other people who had the same issues. I would rather go without WiFi than deal with these greedy price gouging idiots! read more

My experience with this company hasnt been great. When i first started using tds internet, i was only paying anywhere from $50-$65/mon. That was the first year. But after that, they started charging me $85-$115/mon. They claimed it was for moving fees, but i called them before i moved and they told me they would not charge me for moving the equipment. That was false. they also told me id save on my bill by bundling cable with my internet. Instead i they charged me $132.00 on my next bill. Because of that they gave me $50 off my next bill just so they can continue to charge me $132 the next month. Do not dare to make this company your isp. Unless you like being charged more for nothing. They love to make up scenarios just to charge you even more overtime. They are very deceiving and dont respect their customers. read more

TDS started out well with a hassle-free installation by a seasoned technician and good download speed. Upload speed, not so much. But then I got my December bill and found I was hit was a late charge because of an error in autopay. Instead of telling me about the error so I could fix it, they just tacked on the late charge. Highly disgusting and unprofessional. read more

This company is not a good service for the community. The service comes and goes and they have horrible customer service. They run you in circles from person to person not giving you a straight answer as to why the service doesn't work like they said it should when you selected the plan. And after turning off the television service 3 years ago and returning the equipment. Now they are going to charge me for that equipment because they didn't log it it their system, three years ago. I would never recommend this service or this company. read more

Honestly if I could Shoot the business up I would. The fucking scum bag company billed me a month after I had already canceled and paid any standing bills before I moved out of that shit hole town. I contacted them about the bill and sent a check just so there wasn't any future issues and this bitch ass company sent me to collections the day before they cashed my check!!!! Fuck you TDS!!!! Edit: it's hard enough for the working class to deal with maintaining a good credit score just for some pompous asshole to say "sorry you can't be approved for your loan because of a $70 dollar bill that had been sent to collections 5 years ago" some of us are actually trying to make due with the shitty things in life and these fuckers!!! without any notice that they were going to send us to collections too!!!! Fucking shady ass business for fucking sure!!!!! Y'all really hurt my feelings fam...... read more

they wanna charge me for 2 months of service when I wasn't even at the residence, even the land lord, neighbor, and family can prove I wasn't there at that apartment $$$$$$ scams, on top of that the internet when I was there never even ran as fast as it's suppose to 1Gb fiber ran at only 50-100MB and the ping is bad too for games. read more

They might have decent internet but there tv is the worst can't watch programs without it freezing up or sound and program going in and out it doesn't do any good to call they say they will look into it they correct the problem by taking off the channel so I guess you can say it's fixed we quit calling so if you can find another service do so to avoid the headache read more

They literally only have business because their isn't any other company providing wifi in the area. Customer service is atrocious and extremely irritating. They randomly up charge you to see if they can get away with stealing more money from you so you have to call every month or so to get it corrected. They have a stupid "1 year" special where they give you the same crappy wifi for $50-$60 a month (varies by person because this company is crooked) and then after the year is up you're looking at $85+ for the same wifi that hardly works. If any other company that provided wifi like spectrum was in the area this place would go bankrupt. Also, this place is sexist. When I went to get my router they just handed it to me and told me to set it up on my own. It's very easy so I wasn't complaining, but if a woman goes in and tries to just get it handed over they assume they don't know anything and can't plug in 2 cables. I genuinely wish the absolute worst for this company and all their brain dead employees. If you're stationed at Holloman you'll understand, if wifi is a necessity then unfortunately this is your only option. read more

Absolutely the worst internet and television service I have ever had in my entire life. Metv constantly cuts out after midnight and it sucks cause I enjoy Alfred Hitchcock not with your sucky service. Lesson learned may get your service included with space rent however I would never pay freely for you ever suck suck suck for four years straight smh oh and pay you for better service ha ha ha you are ridiculous read more

First let me say their internet is great, never a problem, cable tv that is another issue. Since I installed cable tv I have had a problem with the local channels not working, NBC, ABC. This is very annoying. Call after call and its fixed for a few days then starts all over again. Finally fed up will be changing to something else for tv. Life is too short to get upset everyday with no tv service. read more

*Edit: Had to change star rating one company should not be rated completely on one bad customer service rep experience but they really need to give this guy more training. I switched to TDS because I was hoping for better services but overall just a little better, and I had bad customer service with the other co., well its the same everywhere I guess. This last rep kept cutting me off and seemed very annoyed at me from beginning. I had my issue resolved finally after talking to someone else but already frustrated did not need to have someone add to it. read more

I have never been so dissapointed with an internet carrier as much as I have been with baja. The service sucks. Recently they billed me for two months at once. The customer service reps were unwilling to help. The front desk personnel is too aggressive and it feels like they just don't care about the customer. The internet sucks. It keeps dropping for no apparent reason. When I try to resolve the problem by calling in to see if there is anything I can do, I get a computer voice telling me that they are currently working on it and to bear with them while they work on it. All together its been nothing but a headache and I can't wait until the end of the month when I drop them and go literally anywhere else for internet service. read more

This place is trash. Absolute garbage the customer service office is the worst I have ever dealt with. I've had a problem with the internet in the house for about 3 days. So I called and was put on hold for an hour. Then I called the next day and was on hold about 45 min then I call for the third day in a row. I was put on hold for an hour and a half and counting. The office closed and they still kept me on hold til after they were gone. How the fuck is that acceptable if I could give them negative stars I absolutely would read more

Internet is awful. We have trouble just watching Netflix. It constantly goes in and out. They did however have good customer service.

Ooooooh be careful people there is a nasty little wench at the reception.. Due to a change in my finances I need to downgrade my service. All that I required was Internet. She kept offering me packages with the home phone. I felt like I was in a comedy routine. I don't want a home phone said I and she proceeded to offer me another package with a home phone included... as her attitude got more and more nasty. I finally got through to her that all I wanted to do was downgrade my internet service and she tells me that that's going to be $78 to downgrade my service from 74.46 to $50 a month. Somehow that just didn't seem kosher so I went down the street to our other internet provider, obtained service for $40 a month at a better speed than TDS offered. I promptly went back to TDS to cancel my service. They are due to auto debit a payment almost a week from now and I was told that payment would probably go through and it would take 6 weeks to get a refund. Guess what? I went straight the bank and put a stop payment on any withdrawal of my funds by that company. So now when I return their equipment on Friday I will let them know to post any account reconciliation to my p.o box. read more

Very slow internet that goes down all the time. TDS workers came to my house and changed my modem thinking this would help the problem. It did, for one day. I am looking to change to Century Link and would advise others to do so. read more

I am a new TDS customer and needed Internet-only service at my Alamogordo home, so I took advantage of their current $29.95/month 60mbps plan guaranteed for 36 months. They sent a TDS contractor (Eric Smith, former Otero County Deputy Sheriff) to my home 4 days from the day I ordered service. Mr. Smith was professional, competent, and exceedingly patient as I peppered him with questions about the installation. When he climbed up on the utility pole to connect the cable line, he noticed the original coax line from the pole to the house was weather-worn and ran a whole new line all the way from the pole to the cable junction box on our house. He took his time and made sure everything was exactly perfect. Inside the house, he took the coax wall plate apart to inspect the internal connection, tightened everything to prevent inadvertent disconnects, and explained his work to me so I could understand everything he did. My personally-owned cable modem activated within minutes, and my router worked flawlessly out of the box once I connected it to the cable modem. All of my speed tests, using a handful of different long-distance servers for pings, showed excellent bandwidth speeds and reliable data transfers. I wish the upload speeds were better than 5mbps, maybe closer to 15mbps, but I understand the limitations of living in a rural location. I could not have hoped for a better installation experience, and 95% of the credit goes to Eric Smith...people can say what they want about TDS as an ISP, but this installer was excellent. Oh, and did I mention...cost of the installation, even with the new service line from the pole to the house...zero dollars!!! Also, very next day, two TDS quality control inspectors visited me at the house to look at the work that was done and to survey my satisfaction with it. Seems to me that they really are trying to get it right, at least as an ISP. read more
