I used to LOVE this place, recommended it to everyone. I ordered lunch today not realizing that they had apparently changed owners. When I called, the guy answered the phone mid-conversation with someone else. For a minute I thought I had dialed the wrong number. Ordered wings and fried pickles and had to tell him multiple times that NO, I did NOT want French fries. The wings are SUPER tiny. They were overcooked. The sauces and spices that used to be so vibrant and flavorful all just taste like salt now. I asked for all flats... PAID for all flats, and got mixed wings. Fried pickles (which I don't think are actually on the new menu anymore, which explains why they were so confused when I asked for them) and got pickles that had been fried into oblivion. They were so overcooked that the pickles were completely dried out. Might as well have just had fried breading. The guy at the counter spent the entire time telling me how he didn't eat fried food because it was unhealthy and trying to sell me on getting fried rice next time I come. Seemed kind of bizarre considering it's a wing place and wings are FRIED. So... yeah... essentially, I got that I shouldn't order fried food because it's bad for me, but most of the menu is fried... so I probably just shouldn't order there. So disappointed. Being relatively new to the area and not having decent tasting wings since moving, a buddy told me about this place. I went, I saw, I devoured! This place put an end to my wing drought! Best wings in Atlanta! They have about 30 different wing sauces to choose from. I tried the Hot and the Garlic Pepper wings and love them both. Although, I can't wait to try their Hot Lemonyaki (sounds interesting huh?) and the Honey Garlic. Hubby and I ventured this way because he had a mad craving for wings and the yelp reviews were glowing. Aside from one other customer we were the only ones there. I ordered the fish combo plate (2 pieces of whiting, 5 wings and a side of onion rings) and hubby ordered the 20 wing combo (honey garlic and lemon pepper) with a side of fries and we split a large cole slaw. Now, I will say that the sides portions were generous, both the fries and the onion rings were very good. But that's about it. The wings were on the scrawnier side, although cooked thoroughly, they didn't have much flavor and relied on the sauce for that. The honey garlic sauce is not something new folks, it's practically on every single wing place that I have been to so I wasn't over the roof about it. The fish was ok, but had I known that there would be a salty seasoning over it I would have asked for it without. The seasoning made it super salty, so I kept having to drink more just to keep it down. The coleslaw was drowning in watery mayo and was inedible after a few bites. The place is clean, and the food came out quickly (keep in mind, we were the only ones there so I expected that). The staff was friendly enough, they didn't shoo us out the door even though the other businesses in the plaza had already turned off their lights. Discover Wings is my go to place whenever I can't decide what to eat. It's so close by and their wings are outstanding. They have a variety of wings flavor and all of them are delicious. The wings are definitely not big, but it is big in flavors. Service is nice but the wait for wings can be slow. Make sure to call ahead of time if you're in a hurry. Delicious!! The only problem is that every single flavor (they have dozens to pick from) is amazing so it takes me a while to choose. The wings are cooked perfectly and are not overly or underly sauced. The interior is always clean and the service is friendly, quick& accommodating. The prices are more than reasonable. After reading some of the reviews, we went there to see ourselves. As some of them have mentioned, the wings were pretty small. Their "mild" is a bit on the spicy side (our favorite "mild" is from Wing Stops. Maybe this will give you benchmark). The lemon pepper is pretty good. Service we received was not that great. The lady who took our order was very mechanical. She almost made us feel rushing to place an order and not too welcomed. The speed of food preparation was good, though. I have to go out of my way to come here but so far I love it. Korean guy who works there is prob the nicest guy who could work in a place like this. First I thought this place got 5 star from employees working here knowing that that's possible. But this place is no joke, the taste of wings are just amazing. I only had medium but that's just how I wanted. I came here twice already and had great experience. Place is clean and had a funky medium buffalo wing color. Amazingly affordable! Service is outstanding! Food is delicious and mouth watering! I had the sub & wings combo for about 7 & some change. I got a whole teriyaki cheesesteak and 6pc teriyaki wings. My husband got the gyro wrap and fries. Being that I'm from Philly, I've never had any other cheesesteak than the original. But this teriyaki cheesesteak is surprisingly delicious! The most flavorful one yet. & the gyro was outstanding. The quality of the food was actually better than we expected. We loved every bit of our meal. But sadly, I had to knock off one star because of the size of the wings. I don't know if it was just mine but they were really small! All 6 pieces that I had were really small. I had to sign up for Yelp just so I could review this place and share its wonders with you! I was in the area and really craving some wings or a burger. I didn't know what to choose and I'm glad I came here because I got to have both! A burger with six wings is around 7 bucks. VERRRRY cheap in my opinion -- especially considering how great everything tasted! I got the Caribbean burger and it was amazing. It had just the right amount of sweet and savory. My boyfriend who has to put ketchup on everything even commented saying that the burger I ordered didn't need any ketchup at all. I also got the honey garlic pepper wings and those were delicious as well. As you can see, I like my food to be both sweet and savory. This joint did it for me! Try anything with "ranch" in the name - especially the Philly Ranchero! Discover Wings is a regular stop for lunch for me. I first became a regular because of their outrageous gyro (loaded with feta) and the huge fish-chicken-burger (don't know if that one is still on the menu). I've tried nearly everything since. The wings are the small and crunchy style, and the flavors are all on point - you might be surprised when you find yourself sucking on the bones to get the last little bit of flavor. Headed home on a road trip we were looking for a good burger, after a quick Yelp search we landed at Discover Wings. Not going to lie, walking in we looked at each other with a WTF look but decided to follow the reviews. The menu is displayed just like a Chinese restaurant and includes not just wings and burgers but also fried rice and fried shrimp and fish. Pushing forward we ordered our burgers and were honestly impressed. By no means are these gourmet burgers but for a quick RANDOM stop we were pretty pleased. The reviews on Yelp brought me here. Turns out it was a great choice. The only downside is we had to wait a few minutes for the restaurant to open at noon on a Saturday, which is weird. Anyways, the girls running the counter were kind of young, but super friendly and helpful. The facilities were clean, and the atmosphere was great. I was torn between getting a sub or wings. I didn't know I could get a combo with both! I got the Philly sub with Teriyaki boneless wings and split an order of fries with a friend. This place is as good as it gets. The honey garlic pepper is unREAL. My GF gets it on her wings, and I get it on my grilled chicken sandwich, and the kids get the tenders - which are actually cut into bite sized chunks before being cooked so they are always perfect.
