They refuse to place the tires with better tread on the front of your car, even if you tell them to. I had a front tire blowout on the freeway a long time ago and it was scary. I almost lost complete control of steering and could've caused a major accident, but discount tire could care less about what you experienced in the past while driving and are going to do what they see fit with your investment and life. read more

I couldn't have been happier with my most recent visit to Discount Tire. I had a small screw in my tire, the second in a week. We had taken the first one to another place where they charged us $30 to fix the tire and then rotate my tires which, other than the fact that I suspect they didn't rotate my tires, I was cool with. My husband had a very bad experience at a different Discount Tire way back in the way back so we tend to use them only when necessary but this location is on my way to work and I saw that they were well reviewed so I thought what the hell? Got there at the same time as everyone else but was met by a very polite representative in the parking lot. Waited in the clean waiting room for an hour. When they brought my car around, I was confused because they just handed me the keys rather than leading me to the counter. I tracked down the guy that I'd talked to in the first place and he said no charge! Maybe don't expect stuff like that for free because we bought tires there recently and the flat had been caused by a very small hole... but still! And they even reset the annoying tire pressure warning on my dash. Can't beat it. read more

Came here for a tire rotation. They discovered 2 of my tires had low tread and thus needed to be replaced. Figured coming on a Thursday would be quick, but they were so slow! In the first 30 minutes I was here, did not see a single car they were working on the tires with completed. Yet, when someone pulled in for a free air check, a tech was right there to help them out. What about putting the people paying good money before the folks pulling in off the street? Need to work on the efficiency of operations as this group of techs was wasting a lot of time. read more

We have been buying tires from this location for many years, but this past Tuesday, May 26, 2015, they showed that their reputation holds up. We bought four new tires for my husband's truck. When we picked up the truck, something was catching on the driver side rear tire such that it would not move more than a few inches forward or backward. The manager himself came out and temporarily fixed it, then sent us to Discount Auto, who fixed the problem (a brake shoe was out of place) and there was no extra charge. Once again, the Bay Area Discount Tire shows that it has some of the best in the business. Between the manager, and Aaron (who helped me with MY tire just two weeks ago), they are the real deal. Recently, I had good blow out on my drivers side tire. I spoke with one of the managers, Jason. He was so polite and patient with me. I couldn't believe how great the service was there at this store. The techs fixed me up with a brand new tire and I only had to pay $34 dollars because I had the warranty through them as well. I will be back when I need better tires for sure. Pulled up to discount in a panic 20 minutes after they closed on a Saturday night, all the bays closed except one. I can tell you this place has the best customer service I have ever encountered. They pulled my car in no questions asked and fix my limping audi. I am sure these men had better places to be then staying late at work on a Saturday night. They're good and understanding about dumbing down their explanations. The guys always have smiles on their faces and have fun in the shop. I scheduled an appointment because I had order tires they didnt have at store. Called them and asked if i can get schedule earlier. They told me yes the tires will be in. When i got there the man at front stated that it was not in. They can give me other tires for my car. I was like that's fine but my info was coming up as another person. They assure me that they have in the system correctly. They gave me a receipt with someone else name on it. The tires looked used and old. I paid for new tires.Anyway its been close to a month and tire light is on. I will never go back to this location. I felt like they sold me old tires. read more

Came in today with a screw jammed in my wive's tire, we just bought the car and the tires weren't from discount but they took care of it for me anyway because i've been a customer in the past. Matt helped me this time and the tech, Chris was more pleasant than any mechanic I've gone to in the past. John remembered me from my last visit and that made me feel valued as a customer. I took a step out and grabbed a bite to eat while my tire was repaired and when I came back matt greeted me at the door letting me know that they were finishing up earlier than expected. May be a bit more expensive when it comes to charging for services(balancing, etc.) but tires are the lowest you'll find and the service is impeccable. I am usually happy with my treatment at this location but today was not the case at all. I had a flat that needed to be replaced and was told to wait on the side. After quite some time as several customers went ahead with no problems I decided to ask if they had appointments I was told they did not. Took my business elsewhere that took excellent care of me and ended up with four new tires and great customer service. Sadly I won't be returning to a location that would have otherwise still had a loyal customer due to the poor service I received. Disappointing. read more

Some stuffs are mean. They are not serious about my incident on my car and just want to sell tires. A stuff sung Lap songs and he did not hear me even though I was serious about my tires problem. Tires are important because it is going to be a fatal problem for for your driving. I do not want to go back there again. Know by booking an appointment it means absolutely nothing. Called on Thursday and spoke to Dwayne, selected a tire and made an appointment. I came in today for my scheduled appointment only to find out that they had sold the tires to someone else. I'm only giving them 2 stars as opposed two one because they did at least find the tires for me to go have put on at another store. The store was completely out of the way and miles South through endless amounts of construction which caused me to completely waste my Saturday but hey not their problem right? read more

Very disappointing service. I went there to have my tires rotated and they refused, saying that the front tires were worn more than the back tires and that the tires needed to be left as they were. None of the tires were down to the wear bars, but they still refused to do it. They did seem very excited about getting me a quote on a new set of 4 tires. I contacted Discount Tire customer service and was told that the Webster store manager would contact me immediately. That was a month ago and I have heard nothing. I don't write too many reviews but I could not help but recognize the great service I received from this discount tire location. A couple of weeks back I came in since my front two tires on the g35 coupe were prematurely wearing on the inside. Tim was the gentleman helping me. Once all the tires were checked my fears were confirmed that the back two tires were also dangerously worn (I had them for over 45k miles). Tim worked very hard to find me the best deal possible on 4 new continental extreme contact DW tires. He gave me credit for the mileage warranty and also alerted me of the upcoming continental rebate which by waiting a few more days I was able to obtain. What made this service over the top is that the Continental rebate did not actually apply to my tires (it was only valid on certain other models). When I came back into the store to let them know I was having problems processing the rebate Jason who was working that day and the manager right away stood behind the fact that they misinformed me (clearly not on purpose) and gave me an instant rebate. I know for a fact I got the best price possible on my tires because I shopped them around and also these gentleman stood behind their service 100% when there was a problem. So I have been usng DT for years as they have always had good prices, decent service and lots of locations. After putting 4 new tires on my wife's car a few years ago, recently I had two tires wear out prematurely. They gave us a good deal on new ones with a discounted replacement road hazard. Not long after my car fails inspection for a worn tire so I go in to get 2 tires. They have this new "policy" where they want to put the new tires on the back for better handling. Well I'm stubborn and like the newer tires on the front. We got them to put the new tires on the front of my wife's car without much drama, but for mine they were insisting the tires be put on the back. Did I mention I'm stubborn? So I start pushing back that there's no law forcing them to do it and are they not willing to make their custiomers happy. I wasn't intending to make a scene but it was taking a while and the line was backing up, so before I knew it the guy said they believed in it so strongly that they would give me 2 tires free so I would have good tires on the back. Now I know they have considerable leeway on pricing, but he shut me up fast, as I tought I misheard him. Kept the old tires as my road hazard backups. Now I'm even more a DT devotee for life! read more

I can't speak highly enough about Discount Tire. I have done business with them at 3 locations: Webster, Katy and Atascocita an won't go anywhere else if given a choice. They are fair. Their prices are great. The last go-around with tires for my van, they credited my tires dispite the fact that the issue Ihad wasn't under the warranty I purchased (bad alignment.) The only downside was the Katy location's recommendation of the guy who did the sub-par alignment that ruined my new tires 50,000 miles early. They are the true, old-fashioned, over-the-top customer service we have come not to expect anywhere, but still get here. And I love the drive-in tire inflation service. To the waiting guy who was upset by this, well, next week, it'll be you interrupting someone else, and it truly only takes 5 minutes. read more
